Chapter 1732 Unread Messages
The spinning top moved closer to the cabin wall, and its tentacles placed the daisy only a fist's distance away from Li Luo. The dewdrop wobbled but didn't fall. The light in her eyes shone even brighter: "Luo, get well soon. When you get out of the cabin, Brother Potato and I will pick more beautiful flowers for you!"
Just then, a soft "hum" came from the kitchen, and a muscular man in a black tuxedo flew over—his whole body was covered in soft short fleece, and a milky white bow tie was pinned to his collar. The solid wood tray in front of him was three times the size of him, and the edge of it almost covered his short legs.
On the tray sat a white porcelain bowl of porridge, a small dish of candied fruit, and a steaming bowl of sweet soup. The aroma made Li Luo, who had been hungry for a long time, secretly swallow her saliva.
He flew to the medical pod, gently placed the tray down with his little hands gripping its edge, and looked up at Li Luo with a soft, slightly proud electronic voice:
"Master, the vegetable porridge and sweet soup are freshly made. You can eat them as soon as you leave the cabin! Your external injuries are 95% healed; you just need to replenish your strength."
Li Luo followed the muscular man's gaze to the screen in the medical pod.
The numbers on the screen jumped around vividly, and every indicator was moving in the right direction.
She tried to raise her arm; although it was still a little weak, she could finally move it freely, unlike before when even clenching her fist was difficult.
This injury was truly severe. Fortunately, I crashed into the space at the last second before losing consciousness. Otherwise, if I had been exposed outside, it would have been difficult to even escape the zombies, let alone heal. I don't even want to think about the consequences.
Li Luo breathed a sigh of relief, stretched her stiff body, then sat up and left the medical pod.
After drinking half a bowl of vegetable porridge, the warmth spread through my stomach, and the weakness in my limbs also dissipated.
The potato rubbed against her feet, its tail brushing against her trouser leg, while the spinning top placed the daisy on the corner of the table next to her, its tentacles gently resting on her wrist, as if checking on her condition.
After finishing the whole bowl of porridge and half a cup of sweet soup, Li Luo finally breathed a sigh of relief, her fingertips still warm from the porridge.
The muscular man had already thoughtfully prepared hot water in the bathroom, and the rising steam, carrying a faint scent of herbs, washed away the fatigue after the battle.
She changed into a soft, light gray loungewear set. The fabric clung to her skin, providing a comfort she had never experienced in the apocalypse, and even her tense shoulder lines relaxed completely.
Potato and Spinning Top followed her into the room, curling up on the soft cushions at opposite ends of the bed like two little guardians.
Li Luo sat in the wicker chair by the window, her fingertips lightly tapping the light screen of the system space warehouse, the cool metallic texture instantly touching her palm.
The universal communicator was held firmly in her hand, its outer shell still retaining the slightly cool temperature stored in its space. This was a "secret link" known only to her and her close friends; even the members of the Blazing Fire Team were unaware of its existence.
She had just turned on her communicator and hadn't even had time to select a channel when a light blue encrypted pop-up window suddenly appeared, with the red number "9 unread messages" in the upper right corner standing out prominently.
Li Luo paused, her fingertip hovering over the screen.
She had turned off communication alerts while fighting the mysterious man, but she never expected to accumulate so many messages.
Potato jumped off the headboard cushion, its furry head poking its face toward the communicator, its amber eyes fixed on the pop-up window.
The spinning top also floated over, its translucent tentacles resting on the edge of the communicator, as if curious about its contents.
With a light tap of her finger, Li Luo opened the pop-up window, and the information immediately expanded according to the contact categories:
At the very top is Lu Jingcheng's name, followed by "5 unread messages".
