Chapter 30 Take action

Through the open office door, Luke could clearly see three of the gangsters.

The gangster farthest away was holding an MP5 submachine gun, and because of the angle, Luke couldn't hit him directly.

So he glanced at McLean, who was observing the situation under the table.

He immediately launched an attack, throwing three golf balls at the three gangsters.

Then he shouted:

"John, shoot~"

McClane was stunned for a moment, then he stood up and aimed at the gangster holding an MP5 at the farthest point.

The bandit was also confused. Suddenly, three white objects flew in and knocked down his boss and teammates.

Old man Aoki also lay on the ground alertly.

Bang~Bang~

John successfully killed the gangster.

Only then did Luke come out with Annie.

Luke pulled a chair over and said:

"I'll go up the stairs to scout the situation. You put the body on the chair. We may need him as bait."

McClane then understood what Luke meant.

Using the corpse as bait can attract the attention of the gangsters guarding the hostages downstairs, making it easier for the two to raid and rescue the hostages.

Luke first walked up the stairs to the top floor and found a group of people busy doing something on the top floor. Upon closer inspection, he saw that they were installing a bomb.

After Luke quietly retreated to the 31st floor, he went down to the 30th floor and checked the situation. There were a total of five gangsters guarding the hostages, and they were very scattered.

The good news is that the hostages are gathered in the lobby, neither too far nor too close to the elevator, a perfect distance.

Being too close can easily cause accidental injuries to the bandits and John. Even if Luke is accurate enough, ricochets can still hurt people.

So Luke went back to the elevator on the 31st floor.

McClane had tied the body of the slain gangster to a chair.

Luke says:

After the two men checked their weapons and ammunition one last time, they took action.

McClane climbed onto the elevator car through the elevator's vents.

When everything was ready, Luke pressed the elevator button and quickly entered the stairwell and arrived at the 30th floor.

The arrival of the elevator did not attract the gangsters on the 30th floor.

Because the entire building was under their control, they thought they were their own people.

But one of the hostages glanced at the elevator curiously and immediately let out a very high-decibel scream.

Only then did the criminals turn their attention to the elevator.

The sight of the body tied to the stool made the gangsters look horrified.

A total of five gangsters approached the elevator.

Only two gangsters walked into the elevator to check the body.

McClain also wrote a line of words on the corpse's clothes.

Just as the gangster picked up the walkie-talkie and prepared to report, McClane opened fire.

The bullets from the MP5 submachine gun penetrated the partition at the top of the elevator and hit the two nearest gangsters, killing them instantly.

Luke had already seen through his Eye of Insight that McClane was about to shoot.

While the criminals' attention was distracted, he quietly opened the door of the stairwell and came to the other side of the corridor.

Just after the gunshot, when the other gangsters aimed at the elevator, Luke dodged.

Bang~bang~bang~

Three shots, three headshots.

Then he rushed into the hall with a gun in hand, glanced around, and put down the gun only after making sure it was safe.

"Mom, are you okay?"

Then Elsa's good old son Luke enjoyed another loving forehead kiss from her.
