Chapter 668 Naruto's Fury
The Third Hokage Danzo and his ninjas rushed toward the Fourth Hokage's residence, but when they reached the door, they all slowed down, seemingly afraid of disturbing the people inside.
After everyone stood in front of the door, the Third Hokage went up and knocked on the door himself. After a while, the door opened, and Naruto appeared in everyone's sight.
Naruto looked bewildered at the large group of people outside the door. He looked at the Third Hokage, who was at the head of the group, and asked,
"Third-generation Grandpa? What brings you here?"
The third generation smiled kindly and said slowly,
"Naruto, do you have guests at your house?"
"Guest? Are you referring to Brother Jigge?"
Upon hearing the name Giggs, the ninjas behind the Third Hokage couldn't help but shudder. They had just witnessed Giggs' godlike power and were still recovering from it.
The third generation nodded hurriedly.
"Yes, I'm here to... uh, pay my respects to Saint Giger."
Naruto blinked and suddenly realized something: the Third Hokage probably didn't know Gigolo, right?
"Third-generation grandfather, you've met Jigge before?"
Upon hearing this, everyone broke out in a cold sweat. Although they had only seen it once, the impression it left was far too deep.
Danzo took a step forward, forcing a smile, and said...
"Naruto, we've all seen him before, can we go in first?"
Although Danzo had tried his best to appear amiable, his chilling aura still made Naruto instinctively uncomfortable. He immediately stared at Danzo warily and said,
"And who are you? Jige prefers a quiet environment. I think we should let the Third Grandfather go in by himself."
At this moment, one of the secret agents couldn't help but blurt out,
"No! That's too dangerous!"
Naruto was taken aback, immediately misunderstanding the situation. He thought his "demon fox identity" was being rejected again, so he said coldly,
"Danger? Are you talking about me?"
As he spoke, Naruto's azure pupils slowly turned crimson, and wisps of faint red chakra emanated from his body.
For Naruto at this time, it was impossible not to feel awkward after learning about his origins. He could accept being isolated as a demon fox in the past, but he wouldn't let it go so easily now.
He was no longer alone; he had Giggs behind him, and he was no longer the bottom of the ninja academy. In fact, with the power Naruto currently possessed, he was far beyond what his classmates from the same period could compare to.
The ANBU member who had just warned of the danger was stunned by the strange phenomenon surrounding Naruto. From his perspective, a giant phantom of the Nine-Tails seemed to have appeared behind Naruto, staring at him with a ferocious expression.
His eyes widened, and his hand instinctively pulled out a kunai, exclaiming in surprise.
"It's a fox spirit!!"
These three words were tantamount to directly igniting Naruto's long-suppressed emotions. His eyes turned completely into a cold, scarlet color, and a layer of red chakra wrapped around his forearm. With a sudden swing, a claw formed from pure chakra slammed towards the ANBU member.
The scene unfolded so suddenly that no one had time to react. With a loud thud, the member of the Dark Guard was sent flying backward, crashing heavily into the trunk of a large tree.
The operative slid down the tree trunk to the ground, his mask half-shattered. He coughed up a mouthful of blood and his face turned pale instantly.
Naruto, who wasn't even a genin, severely injured an ANBU member with a single blow!
Looking at Naruto again, after unleashing his attack, his eyes immediately returned to their usual azure blue, and the red chakra cloak on his hands also disappeared. If it weren't for the cold expression on his face, anyone who saw him would only think that this was still the same Naruto who was always bullied.
The Third Hokage and Danzo exchanged a glance, both seeing shock on each other's faces.
The process from when Naruto made his move to when it ended was very short, but the two of them did capture an extremely important piece of information: Naruto was now able to control the Nine-Tails' chakra!
Even if the remaining ninjas didn't know him personally, they all recognized Naruto, and they were all stunned by the power Naruto had just displayed.
Kakashi, one of the very few people who knew Naruto's identity, looked at Naruto with incredibly complex emotions. He had been strictly forbidden by the Konoha leadership from revealing Naruto's identity, the reason being, of course, to protect Naruto.
He himself was afraid that once he came into contact with Naruto, he would be unable to help but think of his teacher, the Fourth Hokage. So over the years, he had almost no contact with Naruto. Until today, seeing Naruto standing in front of the Fourth Hokage's former residence, his thoughts returned to the time when he was the Fourth Hokage's disciple.
Danzo knew that Naruto and Gigolo had a close relationship, so he resisted the urge to subdue Naruto and gave the Third Hokage a look, signaling him to come out and control the situation, since the Anbu were all the Third Hokage's subordinates.
The Third Hokage turned around and roared at the Anbu members who had just gotten up from the ground.
"What nonsense are you spouting? What fox spirit?!"
The ANBU member realized he had caused trouble and quickly bowed to apologize, despite his injuries. The Third Hokage's expression softened slightly. After sending someone to take the injured ANBU member away, he then spoke gently to Naruto.
"I'm sorry, Naruto, I've made you suffer all these years, but please believe me, everything Grandpa did was really to protect you."
Such a sentence could not resolve the grievances Naruto had suffered over the years, but it at least made him feel a little better.
Naruto let out a soft sigh and whispered,
"Third generation grandfather, I acted impulsively just now."
It can only be said that Naruto's personality in this world is like this; the probability of him turning evil is almost zero. The Third Hokage smiled upon hearing this, and was about to speak when Giggs' voice came from within.
"Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo Shimura come in."
The Third Hokage and Danzo, who were addressed by Jig's full name, dared not show the slightest displeasure. Naruto, who had already made way for Jig's voice, hurriedly went inside.
When the two entered the house, they saw Giger leaning against the sofa, and Lily resting her chin on her hand, lost in thought.
At this point, Giger smiled and said,
"I don't think you'll refuse, right?"
Looking at Giger's Tenseigan, which burned like the sun, neither the Third Hokage nor Danzo dared to refuse. Having witnessed Giger's strength, the two shared the same view: as long as Giger did not attack Konoha, they would do their best to satisfy whatever Giger wanted.
This is the compromise brought about by absolute strength; in front of Giger, they had absolutely no bargaining chips.
