Chapter 102 Kakashi's Procurement

"Can't you go later?" He said as he kissed her again, this time more deeply.

Lei Tong dodged with a wry smile.

"It can't be too late." He retorted, tactfully backing away from Xuanjian's "attack range". "I will be back very late tonight, unless there is an emergency at the border."

Xuanjian muttered a few words in dissatisfaction, and his body almost completely pressed on Lei Tong, with their foreheads pressed tightly together.

"Be careful," he said seriously.

"Yes, sir." Lei Tong said in a low voice with a gentle smile on his face.

This smile only appeared when they were alone, and he kissed Xuanjian's nose lightly as a farewell.

After Lei Tong left, Xuanjian lay back on the bed and watched him jump out of the window with his backpack on his back and disappear into the morning light.

Xuanjian stayed in bed for a long time before getting up lazily.

He had no missions scheduled until tomorrow at midnight, so he was going to take advantage of this rare opportunity to relax for as long as his well-trained body would allow.

"I have something to do." Kakashi shrugged nonchalantly. Genma raised his eyebrows, pointed at the weapon bag in Kakashi's hand, and asked:

"For your students?"

"Some necessary equipment for sword training," Kakashi explained.

"Is A-rank Chakra-reinforced steel 'necessary' for a Genin as well?"

"They deserve the best," Kakashi said firmly, then smiled awkwardly, "Although to be honest, they are still Genin in name only."

"Iruka has been saying that." Genma nodded and walked over to Kakashi. "Are you looking for matching braces?" He looked at the dazzling array of belts, wrist guards, scabbards and leg guards on the stall and couldn't help blinking. "Oh, that's great." Xuanjian said happily, grabbing the well-made wrist bags on the table and ignoring the price on the small piece of paper in front of him.

Genma and Kakashi began a debate about practical value versus luxury value, discussing prices two or three times the marked price. The child watched in amazement as they agreed on a suitable number, Kakashi handed the shocked young man a bundle of bills, and Genma happily tried it on.

"Where did you get this leather?" Xuanjian asked.
