Chapter 146: Konoha's God of Spatulas

After the mourning, they all proposed to go to Kakashi Hatake's house for a meal. Realizing that they were worried about him being alone, Kakashi Hatake reluctantly agreed with a touch of emotion that he was unwilling to admit.

Haruko, who was watching Hatake Kakashi frying fish, questioned, "Is what Kakashi made edible?"

Nohara Lin pulled her sleeve slightly, "That's rude, Haruko."

At Nohara Rin's persuasion, they all sat back at the table and waited for Hatake Kakashi to start eating. Only Haruko stood beside him shamelessly, supervising the meal in her stomach and learning how to fry fish from a close distance.

They tore off a small piece of fish meat and put it in their mouths to taste. Nohara Lin was the first to praise, "Kakashi's fried fish is really delicious!"

Uchiha Obito chewed it carefully, frowned, and commented with prejudice: "It's just so-so."

Haruko also agreed with him like a master, "Yeah!"

"If you don't like it, don't eat it." Hatake Kakashi moved the plate towards himself with a little temper.

Unexpectedly, he could make him angry. Uchiha Obito suddenly smirked and said something that made him even angrier, "A chef should be good at listening to opinions, understand?"

Haruko chimed in for him like a lackey, "Yeah yeah!"

Hatake Kakashi clenched his fist and the arrogance in his eyes and Uchiha Obito's eyes collided fiercely under Nohara Rin's panic expression.

Hatake Kakashi said word by word: "Go ahead if you have the guts."

Haruko suddenly slammed the table, startling them all. She looked eager to try, and excitedly suggested, "I'll do it!"

"Are you okay? Don't get yourself hurt!"

Uchiha Obito hovered around Haruko who was standing on the wooden stool, feeling uneasy and keeping his eyes fixed on her movements, afraid that she would be splashed with oil.

Nohara Rin and Hatake Kakashi were also standing by, waiting, determined to grab her away the moment the smoke rose.

"Haruko, let's go eat, shall we? Don't try..." Nohara Lin's voice gradually became quieter due to Haruko's serious expression.

"I want to take away Kakashi's title of Chef!" Haruko solemnly declared her goal.

Uchiha Obito's mouth twitched and he exposed her: "This should be your first time cooking, right?"

"Huh?!" Nohara Lin exclaimed.

Kakashi Hatake also covered his face in pain. If he had known that Uchiha Haruko was an idiot, he would have argued with her. It turned out that he was also an idiot.

There were so many things to say that he could not express them all. In the end, Kakashi Hatake could only utter the lowest expectation: "Don't blow up my kitchen."

"Don't worry, I will compensate you for Obito!" Haruko promised solemnly.

"What?!" Uchiha Obito couldn't believe it.

The good news is that Kakashi Hatake's kitchen is intact, the bad news is that the fried fish Haruko served actually looks pretty good.

The three of them looked at Haruko's fried fish on the table, which looked similar to Kakashi Hatake's, and swallowed hard.

Under the nervous gaze of the three of them, Uchiha Obito shouted in despair: "There's something wrong with my taste buds! I actually think it tastes pretty good?!"

Unexpectedly, he gave such an evaluation. Nohara Rin and Hatake Kakashi looked at each other, took a bite and tasted it. After tasting it, surprise flashed across their eyes. It really tasted very good.

Nohara Lin was not stingy with her gratitude for surviving the disaster, "Haruko, you are amazing!"

Fearing that she would do something shocking again, Hatake Kakashi also said, "It is indeed very good."

Seeing them off at the door, Hatake Kakashi put his hands in his pockets, feeling that they were finally leaving.

Uchiha Obito immediately pulled her over and glared at Hatake Kakashi, "You'd better not think about her!"
