"Lucius, you are the first person to use Shadow Flame. I hope you won't let me down." Hephesus withdrew his hand.

"Get up! Lucius." Hephis said, "This symbol is usually hidden. When you need to borrow my power, the symbol will appear."
He paused and continued to explain, "The more pious a person is, the more power they can borrow."
"Master, I must be your most devout servant." Lucius also felt the power brought to him by the shadow flame, and he felt that his magic power was boiling.
Snape watched all this with mixed feelings. Hephesus finally embarked on the path of becoming the Dark Lord.

"No need for now." Snape wanted to retract his hand, but he was restrained by Hephes' power and could not pull it back.
"Professor, do you remember what I said?" Hephesus looked at Snape with deep eyes.
"You protected me when I was weak, and I will protect you for life. You have done more than enough."
