Chapter 290: Mountain Cabin and Argument
Early morning of November 1992, 11, in the central Rocky Mountains of Montana.
A small wooden cabin in the forest is located in the dense woods. The appearance of the cabin is simple and quaint, and the wooden walls appear mottled and weathered after years of baptism.
The roof was covered with thick white snow and some exposed moss, blending in with the surrounding environment, as if no one had lived there for a long time.
But the steps leading to the front door had obviously been cleaned, and the air in the high-altitude mountains was very thin and cold.
There had been a few snowfalls a few nights before, and the tall pine trees around the cabin were covered in white coats, with crystal snow beads hanging on every needle.
A breeze blew, and sporadic snowflakes fell like tiny silver flakes.
Occasionally, a little squirrel leaps across the snow, leaving behind a trail of footprints of varying depths, adding a bit of vitality.
When the sunlight penetrates the clouds and shines on this quiet mountain forest, the windows of the wooden house reflect dazzling light.
Inside the house, the wood fire crackled in the stove, emitting a reassuring warmth.
Sitting by the window, you can see the snow scene outside like an exquisite painting, which makes people indulge in this rare tranquility and beauty.
Of course this was just some fantasy, Cedric just stood on the windowsill in a daze for a few seconds.
There was an impatient urging from behind.
"Stop being in a daze, Mr. Diggory, if you don't finish chopping the firewood you have."
"Then our fireplace will go out tonight, and then no matter how tightly you hold Carl."
"The cold will still keep you awake, let alone having lunch."
