Chapter 1 One Piece

Huaniao Island is a small island at the easternmost part of the East China Sea. It is spring-like all year round and is surrounded by trees all year round. Due to its remoteness, it is somewhat isolated from the news.

"My name is Reed D. Craw"

"Kuro, that's a nice name, but how come you're floating in a big box?"

"I went out to sea with my parents and encountered pirates. In order to save me from being killed, they put me in a box and threw me into the sea to escape."

Kuro said with a trembling voice.

"Did you become an orphan after encountering pirates?"

When the old man heard this, his face became silent. He put down his pipe, stood up, turned his back and walked towards the door.

When they were almost at the door, the old man turned to Kuro and said

"There is food on the table. You must be hungry. Wash the dishes after you finish eating. You can stay here with me for now."

"Thank you, Grandpa," Kuro said gratefully.

The old man didn't reply and pushed the door open.

Craw got down from the table and ate the food ravenously.

There was no way out. He was too hungry. Kuro had previously suspected that his predecessor had died of fright, but after taking over, he felt that he had died of starvation.

After eating, Kuro lay on the bed, silently chanting "System, golden finger, cheat!"

Kuro said as he walked over to the old man and sat down.

"If you have nowhere to go, stay here. But you have to work hard for food, kid."

The old man said casually

"Really? Thank you so much, I will try my best to find food!"

Kuro looked at the old man with a smile, and then followed the old man to go fishing every day.

After some time, Kuro sorted out the timeline.

It is now 1508 in the Sea Calendar. Luffy will probably go to sea in 1520, so he still has twelve years to develop.
