Chapter 1504: Destroying the Island
The flying shells hit the army's warships as densely as raindrops. Each shell carried a huge impact force, as if to tear the warships into pieces.
The next second, a loud explosion was heard, and a huge hole was instantly blown open on the side of some warships. Wood chips and debris flew everywhere, and the hull shook violently, making it almost impossible to stand still.
The people on the ship were frightened by the sudden explosion and screamed, and panic spread quickly.
"The side! The side is injured, quickly find a way to go down and block it!" someone shouted, his voice full of fear and anxiety.
Some people who knew how to swim jumped into the water without hesitation. They swam towards the warship nearby as quickly as fish, hoping to find something to plug the big hole and prevent the seawater from pouring in.
At this critical moment of life and death, no one has time to hesitate, because any hesitation may result in being drowned by the surging sea.
However, most of the shells failed to hit the target due to insufficient firing distance, and instead sank to the bottom of the sea, only stirring up circles of waves on the sea surface, as if mocking the incompetence of these shells.
Only a small number of shells were lucky enough to hit the revolutionary warships, causing some damage to them. These shells smashed the decks and hulls of the warships, making them shaky and in danger of sinking at any time.
"Housekeeping team, follow me down to the cabin! Save the boat!" The army major's voice was particularly loud in the noisy environment. His order was like thunder, shocking everyone around him.
"Yes, sir!" The members of the internal affairs team responded in unison. Their voices were firm and powerful, as if they were ready to face any difficulties.
Without hesitation, the Army Major led the Internal Affairs Team into the cabin like a gust of wind. The cabin was filled with smoke and a tense atmosphere. The Major's heartbeat was rapidly accelerating, but his steps were remarkably steady.
"Damn it, these guys, don't leave any of them alive!" The senior army general stood at the bow, his eyes wide open, his face full of anger, his hand tightly gripping his sword, cursing loudly.
"Everyone, fire!!!" His voice was like thunder, deafening. With his order, the entire fleet was mobilized, and the soldiers quickly adjusted their weapons and aimed at the revolutionary patrol in the distance.
In an instant, the sound of artillery fire was like a raging torrent, sweeping across the entire sea area. Shells poured down like raindrops, pounding the revolutionary patrols densely.
"Deputy Commander!" The revolutionary soldiers shouted in fear, their bodies shaking uncontrollably. This kind of intensive artillery attack was the first time they had seen it!
However, it was too late. The shells swarmed like locusts, instantly wiping out the entire patrol. Flames and thick smoke shot up into the sky, dyeing the sea a fiery red.
"As soon as the artillery fire sounds, the revolutionary army will definitely know we are coming. Now I order all warships to increase their horsepower to maximum and land on the island occupied by the revolutionary army ahead as quickly as possible!" The Army Chief of Staff shouted with a serious face, his voice echoing on the sea, as if carrying an irresistible force.
At this moment, he was nervously calculating the time to seize the island. Every second of delay could give the enemy more time to prepare a defense, so he had to race against time.
Upon hearing the Chief of Staff's order, no one dared to hesitate or delay. The commanders of each warship immediately passed the order down, and the entire fleet took swift action.
Soon, black smoke billowed from the stern of each warship, a sign that the engines were running at full power. Like arrows shot from a bow, the warships sped towards the island ahead.
"Marshal, we are not sure whether there is an ambush force on the island ahead, so I will need your strength later." Chief of Staff Bedam found Kately anxiously and asked him for help.
Kettley nodded, his face devoid of any anxiety or impatience. His composure gave Bedam some confidence.
"Just go full speed ahead. I'll whip up a storm in the harbor!" Kately's voice was calm and firm. "Even if there's an ambush, they'll be swallowed up by the storm."
Hearing Kettley's words, Bedam's eyes lit up, and he immediately smiled and praised: "It all depends on you."
Kately smiled slightly, said nothing, and just nodded slightly in response.
The warship sped across the sea like an arrow, its waves forming a long white streak behind its stern. As time passed, a mountainous land gradually emerged from the distant sea level. That was their destination.
"Marshal!" an officer reported to Kettley who was standing at the bow of the ship.
Kettley stared at the approaching island, a look of determination in his eyes. He took a deep breath, and suddenly a pair of huge wings unfolded from behind him. The wings were covered with a faint light, as if they were made of feathers and steel.
"Watch me!" Kettley shouted, and he soared into the air like a divine eagle, flying straight towards the island ahead. His speed was so fast that in the blink of an eye he was already flying over the island.
"Everyone, pay attention, take your weapons and prepare to land on the island!" Kately's voice echoed on the sea and was clearly heard by every army soldier.
"Yes!" The soldiers responded in unison, their weapons tightly gripped in their hands, with fighting glints in their eyes.
After Kately flew over the island, he did not land immediately, but circled to observe the situation on the island. At this time, the remaining revolutionary army troops on the island also discovered their arrival.
"Enemy spotted!" a revolutionary soldier shouted.
"Why are you still standing there? Attack!" another officer gave the order.
The cannon slowly adjusted its angle, and the black muzzle was like the eye of a giant beast, staring at Kately in the sky.
Just as everyone was nervously waiting for the cannonball to be fired, Kettley suddenly swung his right wing violently, as if the entire sky was stirred up by him. Then, a powerful hurricane roared down like a ferocious beast!
"Help!"
"Grab whatever you can around you!"
Cries of terror echoed throughout the island, and people desperately tried to grab objects around them to stabilize their bodies, but the power of the hurricane was too strong, and their cries were quickly drowned out by the roar of the storm.
The storm was like a giant vacuum cleaner, moving towards the center of the island at an astonishing speed. Wherever it passed, trees, houses and other objects were ruthlessly swallowed up by it, leaving not even a blade of grass behind.
"DengDengDeng!"
A burst of hurried footsteps was heard. It turned out to be a group of revolutionary soldiers rushing desperately towards the direction of the storm.
"Mami, stop him!"
"Don't worry, leave it to me!"
The giant warrior named Mami took off the huge shield behind him without hesitation, and then inserted the shield deep into the ground like a spear.
His hind legs were tense, and all his strength was concentrated on the shield, like an indestructible fortress, standing firmly in front of the raging storm.
