Chapter 1555: Northern Expedition
Kuro sat quietly in his room, flipping through the photos and intelligence sent by the news agency. The blurry yet tense images in the photos, along with the obscure yet crucial information in the intelligence, caused his brows to gradually furrow, a look of deep thought appearing on his face.
After a moment, Kuro seemed to have made up his mind. He slowly stood up, took a long stride, pushed open the door, and walked out. In the corridor, the pirates passing by saw Kuro and stopped what they were doing, greeting him warmly: "Hello, Captain!" "Boss, where are you going?" Kuro nodded slightly in response, but his pace did not pause at all.
After turning two corners, Kuro arrived at the restaurant. The aroma of food filled the air. Ryan and the others were gathered around the table, devouring their lunch. The sizzling of the grill, the clinking of cutlery, and the sound of everyone's laughter and chatter mixed together, creating a lively scene.
"Captain, what would you like to eat?" Paul asked with a grin, holding two large iron plates in his hands, on which were placed large bones and meat that were roasted to golden color and exuded an enticing aroma.
Kuro glanced at the food on the table and said in a deep voice, "Eat quickly, we have things to do."
Upon hearing this, everyone glanced at each other, their eyes flashing with excitement and anticipation. They hurriedly swallowed the unchewed food in their mouths and stuffed the chicken legs, meat, and other things in their hands into their mouths. Then they hurriedly stood up and walked over to Kuro.
"Is there something going on?" Ryan asked impatiently, his eyes flashing with curiosity, as if he had already smelled the scent of battle.
Kuro nodded and said, "Morgans sent some photos. Although the details in some of them are not clear, I have a feeling that those guys are about to decide the winner." His voice was low and powerful, with an unquestionable authority.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" The King of Evil could not wait any longer. He waved his weapon and shouted loudly. His face was full of excitement and excitement, as if he could not wait to join the battle.
Everyone agreed, echoing, "Yes, let's go! Let's show them how powerful we are!" "We can't wait any longer. We have to give it a go this time!"
Kuro looked at his group of high-spirited men, his lips curled up slightly, revealing a satisfied smile. He waved his hand suddenly and shouted, "Notify the entire army, march out!"
At Kuro's command, the restaurant erupted in activity. The pirates dropped their utensils and sprang into action. Some rushed to notify the rest of the crew, others to check their weapons and equipment, and still others to prepare the ship. Like a precision machine, the entire pirate group began to operate in an orderly fashion.
Soon, the entire army was assembled. Warships lined up neatly in the harbor, sails hoisted high, rustling in the sea breeze. Kuro stood at the bow, his gaze fixed firmly into the distance. Behind him stood a group of pirates, their blood boiling and eager to take action.
"Brothers, we may face a fierce battle this time, but I believe that with our strength, we will definitely win!" Kuro said loudly, his voice echoing in the sea breeze and reaching the ears of every crew member.
"We must win! We must win!" the pirates shouted in unison, their voices shaking the earth. Their faces were filled with confidence and courage, as if they had already seen the dawn of victory.
"Board the ships!" With Kuro's command, the entire harbor erupted in excitement. Like wild horses unleashed, the pirates, weapons and provisions alike, rushed towards the warships. Their steps were quick and powerful, each one brimming with eagerness and excitement for the coming battle.
Weapons and food had already been neatly transported to the warships, and the neatly stacked supplies on the dock were being rapidly transferred. The pirates skillfully boarded their respective warships, some nimbly climbing up along ropes, others striding across the gangplank. For a moment, the warships were bustling with activity.
With steady, resolute steps, Kuro boarded the Weeping Angel. The warship resembled a sleeping giant, now slowly awakening. On the deck, the pirates busily and methodically made final preparations, checking their weapons and securing their ropes. Each face was filled with solemn anticipation.
At the same moment, Enel transformed into a dazzling bolt of lightning, instantly descending upon the Ark's golden throne. Crackling arcs of electricity surrounded him, as if the god of thunder had descended upon earth. The golden throne, illuminated by the lightning, shone with a mysterious and noble light.
The Tiger Spirit, the Tyrannosaurus, and Mori's Exploder—the warships, like warriors waiting to go to war, were all poised and ready. Their hulls were scrubbed spotlessly clean, their sails hoisted high, trembling slightly in the sea breeze, as if eagerly calling for battle.
Kuro walked to the bow, his eyes scanning the surrounding pirates with determination. He slowly drew out the Budōmimyouhun, the mysterious sword gleaming coldly in the sunlight, as if imbued with endless power.
"Men!" Kuro's voice was loud and powerful, echoing on the sea like thunder.
"This will be our final journey. We will destroy the enemies in front of us and take over this world!!!" Kuro's words were full of ambition, as if he wanted to put the whole world under his feet.
"Oh!!!!" The pirates' wild shouts were deafening, as if they were about to break through the sky. Their voices merged together, forming a powerful wave of sound, which even frightened the clouds in the sky and sped up, drifting away hurriedly.
Then Kuro gave the order! "Let's go!!!"
The Weeping Angel's engines instantly started up, emitting a deafening roar. The massive ship immediately began to move slowly, then gradually accelerated, and finally took flight. The ship cut a streak of white foam across the sea, as if cheering for the coming battle.
Enel placed his hands on the golden ball beside the throne, and suddenly, a terrifying bolt of lightning erupted from his hands. Like dancing dragons, the lightning coiled around the Ark Maxim's hull. The next second, the engines beneath the cabin were ignited by the lightning, thick smoke billowed from the chimney, and the Ark Maxim took off into the air, speeding towards its target.
