Chapter 229 Naruto, Sasuke and Yuka
Haneda and Kakashi took Naruto home.
On the way, Kakashi pretended to ask casually:
"I heard you brought a lot of children back to the village? Two from Kirigakure, one from Iwagakure, and one from Kusagakure..."
Kakashi snapped his fingers, squinted his eyes and smiled:
"Including Yamato, there are five of them now. Your family is quite lively. Do you want to be the director of an orphanage?"
Naruto opened his mouth and exclaimed: "Five? Uncle Haneda, you have already adopted five?!"
"We picked them up on the road. We'll send them to the Ninja Academy once the village calms down."
Haneda lowered his head and asked Naruto,
"Do you want to be a ninja, Naruto-chan?"
"I don't want to." Naruto shook his head.
"Your father is an excellent ninja, Naruto." Kakashi advised.
"If he doesn't want to, then don't worry. You don't want to send a child to the battlefield, do you?" Haneda said with a smile.
After chatting for a while, the three of them arrived at Haneda's doorstep.
Haneda knocked on the door, and to his surprise, it was not Bai and the others who opened the door.
Instead, it was a child wearing a black, long-sleeved shirt with a stand-up collar and white shorts.
The child looked somewhat familiar, and resembled elder brother Fugaku and elder sister Mikoto to a certain extent.
The child who opened the door was just about to call out Uncle Haneda.
But the moment he opened the door, he immediately noticed Naruto holding Haneda's hand.
The two people's eyes met in a very strange way.
"What's going on? Is there no one outside?"
Fugaku walked out of the house. When he saw Haneda, he smiled and said,
"That's your Uncle Haneda. He held you in his arms when you were a child."
"Oh, hello Uncle Haneda." Sasuke reacted and quickly greeted Haneda.
Naruto was a little afraid of Fugaku's face and wanted to hide behind Haneda and Kakashi, but when he saw Sasuke in front of him, he couldn't be timid.
He mustered up his courage and stretched out his hand like Haneda:
"Hello, my name is Uzumaki Naruto, and I'm going to be the Hokage in the future!"
"Uchiha Sasuke." Sasuke gave a cool and brief introduction of himself.
He glanced at Naruto's hands, which were a little dirty from the paint.
However, looking at Naruto's expectant eyes, Sasuke turned his head away coldly and shook hands with Naruto.
After shaking hands, Sasuke did not forget to remind:
"Remember to wash your hands next time. I have a mysophobia."
"Oh, okay." Naruto scratched his head embarrassedly and was led into the house by Sasuke.
Haneda glanced at Naruto and Sasuke and smiled.
He reached out to hold Kakashi's hand, but Kakashi pushed him back.
"Why? You're all grown up now, you're not a kid anymore."
Kakashi glanced at Haneda, speechless.
"A man stays young until he dies. Could it be that our relationship is not as good as that of two children who just met?" Haneda asked back.
"Okay, just this once."
Kakashi reached out and held Haneda's right hand, imitating the way Sasuke pulled Naruto, and took Haneda to the living room.
Probably because the three adults of Haneda were in the living room, Sasuke took Naruto upstairs to play with Haku, Kimimaro and the others.
Compared to the boring adult world, Kimimaro and Deidara seem cool and interesting.
In the living room.
After the children left, Haneda and Kakashi became serious and started talking about business.
"Haneda, from what you said to Naruto, are you planning to run for Hokage?" Kakashi asked curiously.
He was somewhat surprised that Haneda was going to run for Hokage.
He still remembered what Haneda said to Obito when they were little, that even dogs wouldn't become Hokage.
Unexpectedly, Haneda is now going to pursue Obito's dream again.
"Yes, the Sandaime is getting old and more and more corrupt. Do you still remember what I said before we left?"
“Now is the time to fulfill it.”
As Haneda spoke, he extended his right fist.
"I still need your help with the Hokage election. You are a big shot in Konoha now."
Kakashi looked at Haneda's fist, feeling a little nostalgic. He bumped fists with Haneda and agreed:
"I will certainly support you in every way I can."
"During this period, I will help you to move around. Many of my father's old subordinates are looking forward to your return."
"I will also persuade my subordinates in the Iwagakure battlefield to support you."
Fugaku smiled and said, "Just tell me when you are going to hold the jonin meeting, Haneda?"
"I can request a meeting as the head of the Uchiha clan, and Kakashi can also use his status as the commander-in-chief to force the Sandaime."
Haneda thought for a moment and said:
"I plan to go to the Hyuga clan's territory this afternoon to discuss cooperation with Hyuga Hiashi."
"Let's set the date for tomorrow morning. After winning over the Hyuga clan, if the Sandaime wants to be respectable, he will have to abdicate voluntarily."
"Hyuga clan?" Fugaku looked at Haneda in confusion.
The Hyuga clan is the second largest family in Konoha, and the battle between the Sharingan and the Byakugan has never stopped in Konoha.
The Konoha high-ranking officials represented by the Sandaime consciously used the Hyuga clan to check and balance the Uchiha clan.
Hinata and Uchiha don't have a good relationship.
"Didn't Hyuga Hiashi kill the people from Kumogakure in the Hyuga clan territory recently?"
"Given the temper of the Fourth Raikage, he will definitely use this as an excuse to cause trouble."
"And the Sandaime has always adopted a policy of seeking stability and begging for peace."
"The Sandaime is likely to ask the Hyuga clan to make sacrifices in order to please Kumogakure and beg for peace."
Fugaku and Kakashi both laughed at Haneda's humorous sarcasm.
Kakashi said:
"Hokage-sama is indeed much softer towards the outside world."
"Originally, Iwagakure should not have asked for peace in this war, but surrendered. In the end, the Hokage agreed to Iwagakure's request for peace."
"Most of the ninjas in the unit I led this time were very angry about his decision."
Haneda took a sip of water to moisten his throat:
"I've been fighting for three years, and I'm really angry now."
"The Sandaime doesn't go to the battlefield. He doesn't understand the situation there at all."
"Let's hold a jonin meeting tomorrow morning. Kakashi, help me lobby for the jonin who can be recruited, and I'll go talk to the Hyuga clan leader."
Fugaku said, "What about me, Haneda?"
Haneda glanced at Fugaku, thought about it carefully, and said:
"Help me keep an eye on Shisui and make him quit his position in the Anbu."
"If he refuses, tell him clearly whether he chooses the Uchiha or the Sandaime."
"If he hesitates, just tell him that I will reinstate him to his position in the ANBU after I run for Hokage."
"Also, remember to keep an eye on anyone who enters the Uchiha clan territory and attempts to come into contact with Shisui."
After Haneda finished his instructions, he stood up and walked out of the house.
He planned to go to the Hyuga clan's territory as soon as possible, in case Hizashi committed suicide and he would lose his bargaining chip.
Seeing this, Kakashi asked:
"Won't you stay with Naruto for a while, Haneda?"
Hearing Naruto, Haneda smiled mysteriously and asked back:
"When you were a kid and played with me, did you want Uncle Sakumo to come to you?"
Hearing this, Kakashi blushed and whispered:
"Well, he really should make more friends now."
"Well, Sister Kushina, I hope so too."
