Chapter 442: The Bureaucratic Family is Attacked
Once the news of a major event is released by the Navy, it means that the event is basically over. It is the Navy’s way of conveying information to spread justice.
Karp, who was approved for leave, was one of the people who made rich contributions to the major events a few days ago.
Karp walked away with a swaggering stride and a hearty smile on his face.
The feeling that Cap gave to Arthur during this period was much stronger than the old man in the future and the half-black and half-white middle-aged period.
He still had a vigorous and aggressive spirit, which was even stronger than ten or forty years later.
"If you calculate carefully, Cap will be 42 years old in 78 years. Is 36 years old now just the peak of his career?" Arthur looked at Cap's back as he left with a smile on his face, narrowed his eyes and recalled.
"When I saw him in my last life, he was already 46 years old, and his face was full of wrinkles."
"Oh..." Leia said with a look of deep realization, "I can't believe I actually met and talked to such a person. I feel so righteous and safe."
Arthur heard this and sneered, then looked at Leia's stupid expression again.
What she didn't know was that standing next to her was a man who had absolute security, but not an ounce of justice.
"Well, let's just hang out here for a while today." Not achieving his goal, Arthur sighed, put Cooper back on his shoulder and walked towards the familiar yet unfamiliar tavern at the dock.
The famous "Makino Tavern" in the Future Windmill Village is now run by a young couple.
"Well, this tavern looks a little more upscale than the one in our village." Leia followed closely behind Arthur, waiting for his next instruction.
When she opened the curtain in the middle of the tavern's door frame and stepped in.
Then she saw a scene that puzzled her.
Arthur stood on the seat in front of the bar, holding a fork in his left hand and a spoon in his right hand, tapping the bar table, and happily shouted to the couple, "Steamed dumplings, give me fish dumplings!"
Cooper stood elegantly on the bar to Arthur's left, smiling and calling out, "Cooper! Cooper!" (I want raw meat slices, fish raw meat slices!)
"It said it wants sashimi, boss." Arthur pointed at Cooper and helped Cooper translate.
The boss groaned, looking very amused. "This is really strange. Can you understand what it says?"
"Yes, I understand." Arthur enjoyed his ordinary life. He didn't recall or think about the tragedies. He just lived in the happiness of the moment.
"Okay, I'll be right there!" the tavern owner agreed readily.
That childish behavior, and the previous depth and mystery disappeared from Leia's heart once again.
"What's wrong with you...?" She also walked over, staring at the happy Arthur with a surprised look, thinking, "After this eagle appeared, my interactions, actions and behaviors with it were so childish."
"She?" Arthur's eyes suddenly swept towards Leia, pointing at her, "Pretty big sister, she just needs a bowl of egg fried rice!"
Leia refused the fried rice and said to the beautiful and gentle woman with dark green hair and a headscarf at the front desk, "Who wants fried rice? I want ramen!"
"Hehe..." Arthur lowered his head and gave her a sinister smile. His extremely mean expression made Leia confused again.
She frowned, not knowing what was going on with Arthur.
Seeing Arthur's appearance, Cooper immediately began to imitate him, lowering his head and staring at Leia with his sharp eagle eyes.
"You...!" Leia could no longer bear it. She raised her hands and waved them at their heads. "What's the problem?"
Only after she had beaten the two men did she realize that she had been blinded by anger.
Staring awkwardly at Arthur and Cooper, whose foreheads were sunken on the bar, he said, "I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself when I saw your expressions."
The proprietress smiled slightly, thinking that they were just playing around because they were on good terms.
After a while, the boss came up to Cooper and Arthur with a bowl of dumplings and a plate of raw meat slices. "Here, your food, interesting kids."
Arthur, who had been staring at the table for a long time, slowly raised his head. With a flushed face, he glanced at Leia, who seemed to be out of his league. "You dare to fight me and it? Haha, this will be a good start."
“Cooper…” (It turns out that you’ll get beaten if you show that kind of expression…) Cooper didn’t care at all and nibbled on the fish fillet bite by bite.
Leia, who had just entered the world, had no idea what Arthur meant by this. She looked embarrassed and didn't know what to do.
Watching Arthur stuffing one steamed dumpling after another into his mouth and chewing them, he seemed not to care at all about the beating he had just received.
I thought he would be angry like a naughty kid.
"Girl, here's your ramen." The boss presented the cooked ramen to Leia, "Please enjoy it slowly."
"Thank you..." Leia glanced at Arthur who was concentrating on eating, then picked up the chopsticks and started eating.
With Arthur's current vision and temperament, Leia's behavior was a trivial matter that could not be any smaller, and he would not care about it at all.
Instead, we will pay attention to the changes in the mood of the little girl Leia.
"Aren't you angry?" Leia was eating her noodles unsteadily, and asked Arthur apologetically, "I seem to have gotten a little carried away."
Arthur chewed with his cheeks puffed up, then looked up at Leia and stammered, "If I saw that expression, I wouldn't be able to help myself, right? Hahaha!"
"So you did it on purpose!?" Seeing Arthur's attitude, Leia suddenly felt less burdened.
"I did it on purpose." Arthur raised his chubby cheeks again and smiled evilly at her.
"Cooper!" (Me too!) Cooper forced his cheeks up and revealed a smirk that could be understood by human eyes.
Seeing their attitudes, Leia's mouth twitched and she buried her head in eating.
At the beginning, when Cooper was recovering from his injury, he was very well-behaved, obedient and cute.
Ever since Eagle learned something from Arthur every day, he has become a mean person.
"Have you heard that during the conflict between the Rocks Pirates and the Roger Pirates, many famous families were wiped out. Fortunately, the three admirals, Vice Admiral Garp, and his partner Sengoku calmed down the incident."
"Ah, the Rocks Pirates and the terrible scenes of the families attacked by his monster minions are unbearable to watch."
"But I heard that those noble families are all navy bureaucrats, and they are deeply hated by the pirates. There was an incident ten years ago, when a navy admiral was killed by the newly-debuted Rocks."
"Yes, yes. I heard that the only one left in the family of the murdered general is a boy, who is now wandering around on the sea."
The whispered discussions in the pub were stopped by a man wearing a black and white plaid hat who walked in.
It was the mayor of Windmill Village, the young Up Slab.
"You are tourists from the capital, right?" Slab looked at the people at that table seriously. "No matter what news or rumors you have heard in the capital, please don't discuss such things in the tavern."
"Sorry, we were just drunk and chatting. We will be more careful next time." The group of guests apologized quickly and stopped discussing.
