Chapter 533 Avoidance
Chapter 533 Daily Life: Avoidance
He continued walking forward, walking and walking, no longer worried about the future.
Now that his other self has made a move and displayed the same fighting prowess as he did before his death in his previous life, there is nothing left in this world for him to worry about.
This godlike perspective, overlooking everything, returned to his eyes once again.
The outcome will only align with his thoughts; the world will never again see a more powerful adversary or enemy than the other version of himself deep within his soul.
"My most cherished dream and regret?" Arthur murmured to himself along the way. "Now, battles don't make me feel any adrenaline. On the contrary, a peaceful life and unfinished regrets can still drive me a little bit."
It took Arthur three whole days to walk from the West Sea back to the East Sea.
Over the course of three days, he enjoyed the sea views and took leisurely walks.
When he passed by the civilized islands of the West Sea, he used his skills to earn some peggs for the two babies and then used them to buy milk powder to keep them alive.
It was as if nothing had happened, except for a newspaper that reported various tsunamis, earthquakes, and strange weather events around the world, which was distributed worldwide.
Even the pirates who were causing chaos in the New World have completely calmed down.
It all stemmed from a move by another version of himself within Arthur, a catastrophe powerful enough to destroy the world.
East China Sea--
Cloudy, with clear skies for miles around.
Rapeseed Flower Village Wharf.
At the edge of the sea, Arthur sat on a stolen wooden boat, clean and tidy, staring at the distant islands from the deck under the single mast.
The sea breeze rustled the sails.
"Will she still argue with me?" Arthur muttered to himself. "I've told her everything."
Behind them, two red-haired babies were beating each other on the deck.
Shanks clung tightly to Shamrock's feet, while Shamrock clung tightly to Shanks' neck; the two brothers were locked in a fierce battle on the deck behind Arthur.
Arthur turned around and looked at the two treasure chests he had brought back.
Which of the mythical beasts, Azure Dragon and Wind Dragon, should be fed?
If his other self doesn't emerge, and if he doesn't store Haki into his sword and accumulate trump cards, even a one-on-one fight against powerhouses like Garp and Zephyr would be incredibly difficult.
But we need to give him enough time to prepare and plan ahead, just like we did with God Valley this time.
Therefore, he was confident that he could take them all down without relying on his own strength from his previous life.
"Hungry!" Shanks called out from behind Arthur; the nearly one-year-old had only learned to say this one word.
"Hungry!!" Shamlock shouted behind Arthur, his voice louder and fiercer.
Both of them are born on March 9th, and will turn one year old in about a month.
"I'm hungry too!" Arthur yelled at them after hearing this. "Stay put, or I'll eat you like meat!"
Looking at Arthur's cold and fierce eyes, the two of them pouted, feeling extremely wronged.
A short while later, the cries of two babies echoed across the sea from his small boat towards the ocean surrounding the rapeseed flower island.
"..." Arthur covered his ears, staring at the twins with disgust, completely at a loss with them.
He's good at disciplining children and women, but how do you discipline a baby?
Use Conqueror's Haki to scare them unconscious? Then let them fall asleep?
Clearly, this wouldn't work with the two brothers' talents; Conqueror's Haki had no effect on them whatsoever.
Is the baby crying?
"It sounds like it's coming from that ship over there. Should we stop work and go check what's going on?"
The crying attracted the attention of the fishermen, who stopped hauling in their nets and sorting the fish, all their eyes turning to the small boat sailing towards the dock.
Arthur pouted, looking sullen and annoyed as he endured the torment of the two crying babies.
"Ku?" On the island, Cooper, who was enjoying a meal at Leia's house, smelled Arthur's scent, immediately put down the tender and juicy venison steak, and flew towards the dock outside the window.
So fast that Leia had barely turned around at the cooking station that she could only see the trace of a single feather.
"Where are you rushing off to, Cooper?" Leia stopped frying the meat, her expression froze as she looked out the shop window. "Could it be..."
Gion, who was chewing her food at the dining table, glanced out the window and wondered, "Can pirates live such a peaceful life?"
"Hmm?" Leia tilted her head and looked at her again, smiling, "Of course! When Arthur first came down from the mountain, he rode Gian and scared the whole village out of their wits."
"How old is he?" Gion asked, having finished chewing the meat in her mouth and then using her fork to pick up a piece of venison and put it in her mouth. "Do you know that he's a monster who can transform?"
“Seven years old.” Leia was taken aback. “Wait, you mean Arthur transformed?”
She was 7 years old, just as Arthur had told her in G6, only one year older than her.
Every word he said was the truth; he didn't lie to her.
Gion responded to Leia's question, "His body suddenly swelled up, like a Zoan-type Devil Fruit, turning him into a long-haired man who was a little over two meters tall with a three-claw scar on his left cheek."
"Oh!" Leia listened to her detailed explanation and immediately remembered, "You mean him in that portrait?"
“It’s not a portrait, it’s reality! He changed just two days ago.” Gion pointed to the World Economic Daily on the table. “The Valley of the Gods in the West Blue wasn’t submerged by a tsunami and earthquake as reported in the news! He shattered that island with a single blow! He killed the entire country and all the lives on it in an instant.”
Upon hearing the account of Gion, Leia initially showed a shocked expression.
She didn't get involved, so she had no idea about the truth.
However, she quickly regained her composure and replied to Gion, "That was truly... terrifying! I had no idea he possessed such terrifying power."
"Who are you to him?" Gion asked again. "You've been by his side the whole time, how come you know nothing about him? You understand nothing about him?"
“Young Miss.” Leia noticed that her plate was almost empty and took the plate from the table to fill it with meat. “I’m just a servant of his. How could I possibly know all his secrets?”
She placed the plate full of venison chops in front of Gion, gazing into Gion's eyes. "But, when I went to sea with him last year, Gion, Gion, Gion, he called your name to pieces in his dreams every single day."
"..." Gion was taken aback, forking the venison on her plate. "Strange person, why are you calling my name in your dream? I don't even know him..."
As they chatted, hurried footsteps and the crying of a baby soon came from outside the door.
"Hey! Little girl! Little servant!" Arthur flung open the door, barging in with Shanks and Shamrock in tow. "Go buy those two brats some formula, I can't take it anymore..."
Arthur's voice suddenly stopped, and his gaze fixed on Gion at the dining table.
Even the ropes holding Shanks and Shamrock came loose, causing them to fall to the floor and cry out in pain.
“No injury…” Gion’s gaze was deep, and she quickly looked him over the moment he entered.
Despite suffering such severe injuries in God Valley, he recovered completely in just a few days.
"Aren't these!!" Leia saw the two babies and rushed forward to check on them. "Aren't they the children of the red-haired woman we met in God Valley?! Why did you bring them back?!"
"Don't let them die, I'm going out for a bit." Arthur looked away from Gion, turned and walked out of the house, closing the door behind him.
"Huh?" Leia was taken aback again, tilting her head and looking back and forth between the door and Gion. "Has my understanding been refreshed again? Lord Arthur doesn't seem like the kind of person who avoids others."
Gion also found it strange, but calmly continued eating the meat on her plate. "Who knows? I don't have any thorns, and I'm not ugly, so how could I scare him?"
