Chapter 3: First Battle

Qin Feng walked alone in the dense forest. The trees around him blocked out the sun and the air was filled with a moist breath. He held the Dragon Shadow Sword in his hand, and the only sounds in his ears were the rustling of leaves and his own heavy breathing.

Qin Feng recalled Master Ling Yun's instructions and tried to stay calm. He knew that the wind wolf was very fast and he had to find its trail and act quickly.

"The habitat of the wind wolf should be near the water source." Qin Feng said to himself. He decided to look along the stream, where the wind wolf would most likely appear.

Qin Feng walked forward cautiously, his eyes constantly scanning the surroundings, paying attention to every subtle movement. Suddenly, he found some messy footprints in the grass in front of him, and the shape was obviously not that of an ordinary animal.

"It's the footprints of the Wind Wolf!" Qin Feng was delighted, tightly grasped the Dragon Shadow Sword, and quietly moved forward following the footprints.

A low whistling sound came from the bushes not far away, and Qin Feng immediately became alert. He walked lightly and approached the bushes, and found that the wind wolf was drinking water there. The wind wolf was of medium size, with gray fur flashing coldly and a fierce light in its eyes.

Qin Feng took a deep breath and prepared to launch an attack. He knew that he had to defeat the enemy in one blow, otherwise he would be in trouble.

The wind wolf attacked again, and Qin Feng focused his attention and observed the wind wolf's movements. He found that the direction and strength of the wind wolf's attacks each time had a certain pattern, which gave him an opportunity.

The Dragon Shadow Sword drew a blue electric light in the air, hitting the wind wolf's front paw. The wind wolf howled in pain, and quickly stepped back a few steps, his eyes full of anger and vigilance.

Qin Feng did not give the wind wolf a chance to breathe. He took advantage of the situation and quickly stepped forward, swinging his sword straight into the wind wolf's abdomen. The wind wolf dodged the attack nimbly, but Qin Feng's sword still cut through its fur, leaving a bloody mark.

The wind wolf was enraged and attacked Qin Feng frantically. It swung its sharp claws continuously, and Qin Feng kept dodging with flexible steps and quick reactions, while looking for opportunities to counterattack.

"The speed and strength of this wind wolf are very powerful, and we must deal with it calmly." Qin Feng thought in his heart. He recalled the fighting skills taught by his master Ling Yun and decided to adopt a more flexible tactic.

Qin Feng deliberately exposed his flaws to lure the Wind Wolf to attack. When the Wind Wolf was about to approach, he suddenly dodged sideways and quickly counterattacked with the Dragon Shadow Sword.

The Dragon Shadow Sword drew a blue electric light in the air and accurately pierced the waist of the Wind Wolf. The Wind Wolf screamed, fell heavily to the ground, and struggled to stand up.

Qin Feng did not give it a chance, and quickly stepped forward, swinging the Dragon Shadow Sword again, aiming straight at the wind wolf's throat. The wind wolf suddenly jumped up, trying to dodge, but Qin Feng had anticipated it, and the sword tip changed direction in the air, accurately stabbing the wind wolf's neck.

The wind wolf stopped moving, blood gushed out, staining the ground red. It fell to the ground helplessly, dead.

"I did it!" Qin Feng raised the Dragon Shadow Sword, his eyes determined, his heart full of confidence in the future.

At this moment, Ling Yun walked out of the forest with a pleased smile on his face: "Not bad, your performance exceeded my expectations."

"Master." Qin Feng turned around and saluted, his eyes full of respect.
