Chapter 891 The Secret of the Crystal Fragments
"We succeeded! Take the crystal fragments back quickly!" Qin Feng shouted excitedly. Although his face was full of fatigue, there was a gleam in his eyes.
"Don't be in a hurry. Let's first confirm what this crystal fragment is used for." Zhang Meng carefully held the crystal fragment in the palm of his hand, with curiosity flashing in his eyes.
"Crystal can glow, it must be a good thing!" Zhang Meng shook the crystal in his hand excitedly, "Maybe it can make us stronger!"
"Don't just think about the benefits, check first to see if there is any danger." Qin Feng said as he looked around, vigilantly paying attention to the movements in the cave.
"Danger? I'm not afraid! We have already defeated the frost monster!" Zhang Meng said confidently, and then said to the puppy with some pride, "Puppy, do you think I'm awesome?"
The puppy barked a few times, as if in agreement.
"Don't be so happy with yourselves, the two of you should leave here as soon as possible." Qin Feng sighed, "It will be troublesome if we encounter stronger monsters again."
"Okay, okay, let's go!" Zhang Meng said as he carefully put the crystal fragments into his pocket and followed Qin Feng.
I retreated carefully all the way back to the cave entrance. The snow was still falling outside and the cold wind was biting.
"What a strange place." Zhang Meng whispered, his eyes still fixed on the crystal fragments in his pocket.
"Don't think too much, let's go back and find other people." Qin Feng said. Although he was curious about the secret of the crystal, his top priority now was to return safely.
"I think this crystal must have a secret." Zhang Meng's face was full of excitement. "How about we go back and study it? Maybe we can find a way to defeat a stronger enemy!"
"You are such a greedy boy." Qin Feng shook his head helplessly, but he was actually thinking in his heart that maybe this crystal could really help them.
Walking out of the cave, the sunlight outside was dazzling and their footprints were left on the snow.
"Let's go back to the village first and tell everyone that we have found the crystal fragments!" Zhang Meng suggested and started running towards the village.
"Slow down, Mengzi, don't run too fast!" Qin Feng shouted and followed behind.
Zhang Meng ran all the way excitedly, and in a few minutes he reached the village gate. When the villagers saw him, they all gathered around him.
"You came back so quickly! Did you find some treasure?" The village chief looked expectant.
"We found a piece of crystal fragment!" Zhang Meng said proudly, reaching into his pocket to take out the crystal.
"Wow, did we really find the crystal?" The villagers talked about it, their eyes full of anticipation.
"Let me see, let me see!" said the village chief excitedly.
Zhang Meng carefully took out the crystal, and the light flickered, illuminating the surrounding snow.
"This crystal is so beautiful!" a little girl exclaimed excitedly, with curiosity shining in her eyes.
"What do you think this crystal is used for?" Qin Feng asked doubtfully, actually thinking about it in his heart.
"I think this crystal should be able to drive away evil spirits!" The village chief said seriously, "In ancient legends, crystals have powerful powers!"
"Really? Then can we use it to defeat those monsters?" Zhang Meng asked excitedly.
"Maybe, but we have to study it first." Qin Feng nodded, his heart full of anticipation.
The village chief led everyone to the meeting hall in the center of the village, where some ancient books and runes were placed.
"We can use these books to study the power of crystals," the village chief said, pointing to the bookshelf.
"This is a great idea!" Zhang Meng said, "I will definitely find its secret!"
"By the way, I'll go look through the ancient documents now." The village chief walked busily and began to look for information about crystal.
"Let's help too!" Zhang Meng and the puppy followed immediately.
In the meeting hall, the sounds of flipping books and villagers' discussions were intertwined, and the air was filled with a tense and exciting atmosphere.
"There is a legend about crystal here!" the village chief said loudly, holding up a book in his hand. "Legend has it that this crystal can enhance the wearer's power and protect against all evil!"
"Great! Let's try it!" Zhang Meng said excitedly, with a smile on his face that almost burst out.
"However, the legend says that there is a limit to the use of crystals," the village chief said seriously, "Only those with pure hearts can fully unleash the power of crystals."
"Pure heart? I think I'm pretty good!" Zhang Meng was full of confidence.
"Yes, I think you should be fine." Qin Feng said with a smile, "But don't be too proud, it will be troublesome if something unexpected happens."
"I know, I will be careful!" Zhang Meng nodded, his expectations for crystal growing stronger.
“Also, legend mentions that the crystal can only be activated under certain conditions, and may require some kind of ritual,” the village chief added, his expression turning serious.
"Then what should we do?" Qin Feng asked anxiously.
"I have seen a description of a ritual in a book." The village chief turned the page and pointed to a paragraph, "You need to find stones of the four elements: fire, wind, water, and earth, and then perform a ritual around a crystal."
"Elemental stones? Where should we find them?" Zhang Meng scratched his head.
"These elemental stones can be found in four places near our village." The village chief said, "But be careful, there may be monsters there."
"That's great, I think this is a big adventure for me!" Zhang Meng exclaimed excitedly.
"Of course, but we have to make a plan to ensure everyone's safety." Qin Feng said seriously, "We need teamwork."
"Good idea! Then let's split into several groups and quickly search for elemental stones." The village chief nodded in agreement, "I will be responsible for the exploration around the village, and the others can act separately."
"Let's go find the fire element stone!" Zhang Meng suggested loudly, full of fighting spirit.
"Well, the fire element is on that side of the mountain, and there's a place where flames are erupting," the village chief explained.
"I'll go with you! It'll be safer this way!" The puppy wagged its tail excitedly and followed Zhang Meng.
"Then I'll go with you!" Qin Feng also decided to join this adventure, "We must ensure safety."
"That's settled! Let's go!" Zhang Meng shouted excitedly, and then started running towards the mountain.
Along the way, Zhang Meng chatted excitedly, his heart full of anticipation for the fire element.
"Could the fire element be a fiery red stone?" Zhang Meng thought for a moment, "I really hope to see it!"
"Just don't take the rocks that are erupting with flames as fire elements." Qin Feng responded with a smile.
"Of course not! I'm a smart guy!" Zhang Meng was full of confidence.
After running for a while, they finally arrived at the legendary site of the fire eruption.
"Wow, there is indeed fire!" Zhang Meng shouted excitedly, his eyes sparkling.
"Let's see if there is any danger around first." Qin Feng said vigilantly, looking around.
Around the point where the flames erupted, the rocks emitted a warm light, reflecting a red glow.
"Is this the place of the fire element?" The puppy sniffed around curiously.
"We have to find that fire element stone!" Zhang Meng said excitedly, looking around.
Suddenly, a loud noise was heard from where the flames were erupting, and a fire monster leaped out from the rocks and headed straight for Zhang Meng and the others.
"Here they come! Get ready for battle!" Qin Feng shouted and immediately assumed a fighting stance.
"I'll do it! I must defeat it!" Zhang Meng excitedly raised the giant axe, ready to meet the challenge.
The fire monster roared, waved its flaming claws, and pounced towards them.
"Uh oh! This guy doesn't look easy to deal with!" Zhang Meng hesitated and quickly adjusted his posture.
"Don't be afraid, come with me!" Qin Feng shouted, rushing towards the fire monster with sword flashing.
"Okay! I'll be right there!" Zhang Meng mustered up his courage and followed closely.
