Chapter 14: Opening Ceremony

Wright was not happy about the news from the stone tablet. Instead, he felt a little gloomy because he didn't know the details of the Sorting Hat.

Just as Lai walked to the long table of Gryffindor with full of doubts, he suddenly heard someone calling: "Here, come here quickly, there is a seat here, Lai Te."

Looking up, he saw the fiery red-haired twins waving desperately, as if they were afraid that Wright didn't see them.

Seeing this, Wright put aside his doubts and walked quickly towards George and Fred.

When Wright just approached, the twins suddenly asked: "Who is George?"

"You are George," Wright answered George who asked the question as he sat down.

"No, I'm Fred and he's George." George denied it with a smirk on his face. Just when Fred was about to say something.

Wright said seriously, "I'm not mistaken. The 162nd hair next to George's left ear is sticking up, but Fred's is not. I noticed it on the train."

After hearing what Wright said, the two brothers looked at each other. George asked with a little shock, "Is it true?" Fred looked at George's left ear curiously.

"It's fake, I lied to you. I couldn't recognize it, but it seems that I was right." Wright laughed after he said that.

The two brothers looked at each other again and burst into laughter, saying, "It seems we are going to have a new partner." Just when the twins were thinking of developing Wright as a companion.

Wright raised his hand and waved, signaling Ron, who was sorted into Gryffindor, to come over here.

Shortly after Ron came over and sat down, applause suddenly broke out all around, and Harry put on the Sorting Hat amid the warm applause.

After a long while, a Gryffindor ignited the crowd around Wright. The entire Gryffindor seat cheered, and George and Fred hugged each other excitedly, shouting, "Potter, we have Potter."

The Slytherins next door applauded perfunctorily because they heard the Sorting Hat say "Harry refuses to enter Slytherin".

The prefects sitting at the table were too lazy to pretend to be unhappy when they heard the Sorting Hat's hateful words. They had no idea that their eternal second place life was about to begin.

Wright watched this scene silently, and sighed in his heart: "With Hagrid and Ron brainwashing Harry at the same time, there must be something fishy about Harry getting into Slytherin."

Taking off the Sorting Hat, Harry walked towards the Gryffindor table. Gryffindor prefect Percy Weasley was the first to approach Harry and chat with him before the other little lions. Even George and Fred ran over to join in the fun.

Wright glanced at Harry who was surrounded by the crowd, but did not go over to him. He sat quietly there waiting for dinner to start.

Just when Wright was bored, a message that made him panic came from the stone tablet.

"Complete the mileage 'The Strongest Attention', mileage point increased by 1."

Wright swallowed, forced down the fear in his heart, raised his head slightly and looked at Dumbledore.

Dumbledore's eyes were not looking at Wright, but were smiling at Harry who was surrounded by everyone.

Seeing this, Wright felt a little relieved. He began to analyze: "The Sorting Hat should not have the ability to read memories, otherwise those pure-blood families with so many secrets would not have sent their children to Hogwarts, and for a thousand years. If there was such a bomb, it would have exploded long ago."

'Dumbledore is watching me, maybe because I got involved and beat up Malfoy on the train. Or maybe he's looking for teammates for Harry.'

"These two possibilities are the most likely. If Dumbledore knew through the Sorting Hat that I knew the future, the word printed on the stone tablet would not be 'watching', but 'surprised'." Thinking of this, Wright felt relieved.

As Professor McGonagall rolled up the parchment and walked away with the Sorting Hat, Head of House, Albus Dumbledore, stood up.

With a smile on his face, he looked at the students who had returned to their seats, opened his arms to them, and said happily:

"Welcome everyone to Hogwarts. The new school year begins! Before the banquet begins, I would like to say a few words:"

"Stupid, crybaby, scumbag, screw. Thank you all"

Amid everyone's confused looks, Dumbledore announced the start of the banquet.

Countless delicacies appeared on the long table. Since crossing here, Wright had never seen so many delicious foods. In an instant, he devoured them as if he hadn't eaten for days.

George and Fred looked at Wright and Ron who were starving like ghosts, and exclaimed at the same time: "I didn't expect that there are people who eat like Ron. It's so funny."

When Wright, with a bloated stomach, said he couldn't eat any more, he saw Dumbledore waving his wand and the food on the table suddenly disappeared.

Ron also had a bloated belly and regretted not hiding it a little.

At this time, Dumbledore slowly stood up, attracting everyone's attention.

"Now that everyone has finished their meals, I'll just say a few more words. I have some opening announcements to make."

"Freshmen should pay special attention: students are strictly prohibited from entering the woods on the playground. I think senior students should also keep this in mind."

"Our caretaker, Mr. Filch, asked me to remind you that no magic is allowed in the corridors between classes."

After talking about the precautions for this semester, Dumbledore said loudly in a kind tone: "Let's sing the school song before going to bed!"

Then he waved his magic wand, and a long golden ribbon floated out from the wand, forming words in the air.

Under Dumbledore's guidance, all the teachers and students began to sing the school song: "Hogwarts, Hogwarts..."

Wright sang a few lines just following the crowd, looking uninterested.

After singing the school song, the prefects of the four colleges took their respective students back to the dormitory.

Led by the prefects, the Gryffindor freshmen went to their dormitories.

Along the way, Wright, Harry and Ron chatted and laughed.

Walk up the spiral staircase to the top floor and come to the end of the corridor on the top floor.

Percy stopped in front of a portrait of a fat woman. The fat woman in the portrait moved and asked seriously, "Password!"

"Dragon scum" Percy spoke up.

The fat woman in the painting nodded and made way, revealing a round hole in the wall.

Entering the cave, Wright saw a spacious lounge. The red lion flag representing Gryffindor was hung in the air. There were several long tables on the ground with chairs with soft cushions under them. There was a flame burning in the fireplace on the left wall, providing lighting and warmth for this common room.

Following the signs, Harry and Ron walked towards the dormitory.

I came to the dormitory door and pushed it open.

There were five four-poster beds in the room, with each person's luggage neatly stacked underneath.
