Chapter 215 Research, New Defense Professor

"Oh, by the way, I want to tell you that I want to study black magic." Aiden got up from the sofa and prepared to go back to the dormitory.

Dumbledore: "......!!??"

"Wait, explain this in detail!!!" Dumbledore hurriedly stopped Aiden who wanted to leave.

In the classroom, Moody stood in front of the blackboard, looking around at the little wizards in the room with his magic eyes embedded in his eye sockets.

"Alastor Moody, former Auror." He turned and wrote his name on the blackboard.

"Many of you may have heard of my name, but right now, I am just your new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher."

He put his hands behind his back and his evil eyes moved around.

"I am here at Dumbledore's invitation. Do you have any questions?"

The classroom was silent. Moody nodded and continued with his lesson.

"Very good, your former professor Lupin mailed me the teaching progress. He was a good teacher, but it's a pity that he couldn't continue teaching.

However, that's not what we're going to discuss today. My personal style is more practical, so I want you to have a good understanding of what the Dark Arts are." Moody narrowed his eyes.

"First, I want you to tell me, how many Unforgivable Curses are there?"

"Three, sir," Edmund answered.

"Please tell me why they are unforgivable! Mr. Lestrange!" Moody's voice seemed to come from between his teeth.

"Because if you use any of them, you will be thrown into Azkaban," Edmund replied.

Moody walked down and came to Aiden and the other two.

"Very well, now let you witness it." Moody opened the box and took out a spider.

"Come on, little beauty." The spider jumped onto Moody's hand.

Then he controlled the spider to move among the students, causing chaos.

"Look, this evil spell can control the minds of living things. It caused a lot of trouble for the ministry back then." Moody explained in detail.

"Of course, if you have a strong enough mind, you can naturally resist it." Moody took the spider back to the podium.

"Before I start letting you experience the spell, I would like to ask Mr. Prewett to demonstrate his removal spell." Moody waved to Aiden.

Looking at Moody, Aiden felt a little absurd. This guy was really trying his best to teach the little wizard.

Shaking his head, Aiden stood up and walked to the podium.

"Snap" Aiden snapped his fingers without taking out his wand, and a silver halo appeared on the spider. Then green smoke rose from the spider, and the spider broke free from control.

"Oh, look at this beautiful magic, if only we had spells like this back then."

Moody murmured, but Aiden still caught the flash of surprise in his eyes.

"Okay, good cooperation. Five points for Ravenclaw."

Moody nodded and signaled Aiden to leave, and then he led the young wizards to test the Imperius Curse one by one.

Aiden pretended to be controlled by the Imperius Curse, and Moody also showed a little pride.

"No, no, your resistance is too low," Moody criticized, "You need a stronger mind."

"Here, second one." Moody took out another new spider.

"According to Mr. Prewett, the second one is the Cruciatus Curse, an evil spell used to torture people."

"Crucio." Moody fired the Cruciatus Curse at the spider, and the sharp scream echoed in the classroom.

Many young wizards covered their ears with pale faces. Aiden frowned, snapped his fingers, and wrapped the spider with a silent spell.

"Nice casting, Mr. Prewett." Moody turned back.

Moody raised his wand and the spider grew huge in the sky.

"Avada Kendawa!"

A green light hit the spider and it immediately stopped struggling.

"It is absolutely deadly and dangerous. I require you to flee as soon as you see this green beam of light. If you cannot escape, you must try to find cover. You must not be hit by it."

Moody supported the podium with both hands and looked seriously at the pale-faced little wizards below the stage.

"However, this spell requires powerful magic to drive it. I suspect that using this spell on me will only make me bleed from the nose." Moody crossed his arms.

"Well, it's almost time, so that's all for today's class. No one is going to hand in a two-foot-long paper on the Unforgivable Curses after class."

After assigning the homework, Moody limped out of the classroom, taking out a sip from his wine flask on the way.

"What do you think is in his pot?" Edmund asked with interest.

"Polyjuice Potion." Aiden rolled his eyes.

"Ha, I'm making a bet with you. If I lose, I'll eat this book." Ethan came up and teased.

"Then you'll have to wait and see." Aiden narrowed his eyes and answered meaningfully.

At dinner, Gryffindor and Slytherin walked into the hall covered in dust.

"What happened to you guys?" Aiden asked in confusion when he met the trio at the door.

"Hagrid, he actually used fifty fire crabs and a manticore to crossbreed a new species of magical creature." Ron grabbed his brother and complained.

"It's a creature that looks like a shelled lobster. It looks disgusting and smells like rotten fish and shrimp." Harry also complained.

"That's all you two remember. It's a creature cultivated by Hagrid, called a blasting-tailed skrewt, and its tail can spray out flames that provide propulsion." Hermione added the knowledge.

Before the Care of Magical Creatures class started, the three of them had already handed over the content of the class to Aiden.

Aiden nodded and said, "Go eat quickly, and then go back and wash up. You guys really do smell bad."

The three of them raised their hands, sniffed, and quickly ran away.
