Chapter 375: Past Events Resurface, Potions Class
After completing the ceremony, Tom returned to the Gaunt house.
He returned the wand that killed his loved ones to Morfin Gaunt, and then used magic to implant the memory of the murder in him.
He stole the Gaunt family's greatest treasure, the Resurrection Stone, and then disappeared.

Harry thought this suggestion was unreliable, so he went to the library to find Hermione.
