Chapter 283: First Arrival at Ilvermorny

It was five o'clock on a Saturday morning in New York City and the sky was pitch black.

Chuck Stein stood at the airport pick-up gate, his face full of resentment.

I’m so fucking sleepy!

As an Auror, he couldn't even sleep well in the morning, and yet he had to come and pick up these British wizards.

These damn British guys are really annoying.

I really want to knock open their heads and see what these stupid guys are thinking.

As a wizard, instead of using a portkey, you insist on taking a Muggle plane.

Damn them, don't they know that using Muggle transport increases the risk of magical exposure?!

Hopefully they weren't stupid enough to wear wizard robes on a plane.

Chuck's eyes drifted to the electronic display screen from time to time. The time was clearly shown, and it would take at least ten minutes before the British flight landed.

He rubbed his hands, not because he was cold, but because he was upset.

He had planned to sleep in a little longer on Saturday, or have a proper breakfast.

But now, he could only stand here, waiting for those British wizards to leisurely walk out of the cabin, and then go up to them and smile like a bar waiter.

He could almost imagine these British wizards saying in a true London accent: "Muggle technology is so interesting!"

“This trip is full of new experiences!”

Chuck felt like he was going crazy just thinking about exchanging small talk with those guys about such boring issues.

What a waste of time!

It is really incredible that British wizards who like to be decent would bother themselves with such disgraceful things.

The door key doesn't work?!

Other magic schools all went directly to the designated location of the Magical Congress of the United States through the portkeys.

You are special at Hogwarts.

Chuck glanced at the screen and made malicious guesses in his mind.

Hogwarts, haha, just a fallen aristocracy!

It has been many years since we last participated in the International Potions Championship. I guess these people didn't come here thinking of winning the championship, but rather taking this opportunity to travel at their own expense.

There's nothing we can do about it. They have a professor who is the richest man on their side. This amount of money for travel is just a drop in the bucket.

About half an hour later, Chuck saw the target person coming out.

He quickly stood up straight, changed his expression, and greeted her with his warmest smile.

"Professor Swan, you have come all this way, thank you for your hard work."

"I'm Chuck Stein, Elite Auror."

"You can just call me Chuck. Next, I will be responsible for leading you to the Magical Congress of the United States of America to complete the wand registration and entry procedures for the wizarding world."

"plz follow me."

Sebastian nodded, and followed with Snape and the students.

Led by Chuck, the group arrived at the Woolworth Building.

This building is the seat of the Magical Congress of the United States of America. It looks like an ordinary skyscraper, but it is actually a building shared by No-Maj and wizards.

After passing through a secret revolving door, everyone arrived at a magnificent hall with a cathedral-like ceiling.

"Welcome to MACUSA." Chuck said with a hint of pride in his tone.

As they walked, he casually mentioned that MACUSA had moved five times—from the Appalachian Mountains to Williamsburg, to New York, and now settled in this skyscraper.

Chuck led them to a wand licensing office where several congressional staff were already waiting to complete wand registration and entry procedures for each visiting wizard.

After going through the tedious registration process, Chuck took out a box of worn-out shoes with a relieved smile.

"Once again, welcome to the American wizarding world. These shoes are the key to Ilvermorny. I wish you all a happy competition."

Seeing that it was almost noon, Sebastian took the students for a walk around New York and had a delicious meal.

After lunch, everyone came to a secluded alley and used the portkey to arrive at the gate of Ilvermorny.

Seeing Sebastian and others appear, a middle-aged wizard with a full beard immediately came forward.

"Welcome to the best magic school in the world - Ilvermorny. I am the Potions Professor here, William Smith."

As he spoke, he stretched out his arms towards Sebastian.

"Sebastian, I received a message from the Ministry of Magic this morning. How come you only showed up now? I've been waiting for so long."

Sebastian hugged the visitor and said with a smile.

"William, I didn't expect that you, the head of the Potions Department, would personally welcome us. It's really flattering."

"You are well aware of the efficiency of your Magical Congress of the United States of America. It's already good enough that we can get here now."

"Here, I need to correct what you just said. The best magic school in the world is obviously Hogwarts."

"Are you sure?" William said with a smile, "Since I became a professor, I have never seen a Hogwarts student in the Potions Championship. Don't be too blindly confident. Open your eyes and see the world more."

"Tsk—" Sebastian sneered disdainfully, "We are just affected by the war, and the professors in the school can't spare the energy to lead the students to participate in the competition."

What a bastard, he came up and poked his own lung, he doesn't even know that you shouldn't hit someone in the face.

The last time Hogwarts participated in the Potions Championship was when he was in his sixth year at Hogwarts.

The original participants were Snape, Lily and himself, but after the Christmas holiday, Snape and Lily parted ways and were not in the mood to participate in the competition.

Therefore, he was the only contestant in the final round of contestants for Hogwarts.

Fortunately, he lived up to everyone's expectations, defeated students from various schools, and brought the golden crucible back to Hogwarts.

This William was the second at that time.

Although they were fierce competitors on the field, after the game, they established a deep friendship because of the game.

Sebastian raised his eyebrows: "Why are you showing off like a defeated general? Since we, Hogwarts, have shown up, the championship must be ours."

"Don't be so arrogant. I lost to you in the Potions Championship. Now my students will definitely win back."

William looked confident and stretched out his arm in a gesture of invitation: “Come with me, I will take you to rest.”

As he walked, he introduced the next arrangements to everyone in Hogwarts.

"Today, there are four schools coming, namely, Uagardo, Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, and your Hogwarts."

"Tomorrow morning, two schools, Castrobusa from Brazil and the Magic House from Japan, will come. As for Kodostoriz from Russia, no one signed up this year."

"So, the welcome dinner will be held tomorrow night, and there will be some special programs waiting for you guests."

"Tomorrow during the day, Ilvermorny will arrange some students to lead your students to visit the school."

"As for the rest of the day, you can have a good rest. Someone will come to arrange dinner for you."
