Chapter 487 Night Talk
After leaving the Defense Against the Dark Arts office, Harry first contacted Ron and others, warning them not to drink the drinks offered by Umbridge, or even touch the snacks, if Umbridge came to chat with them.
Then he turned into the Muggle Studies office as if he knew the way and told Sebastian about Umbridge's use of Veritaserum.
"Don't worry, make a scene. I'll back you up if anything happens! Also, don't go to Defense Against the Dark Arts class. I promise that Umbridge will leave before she finishes the entire school year."
"Use truth serum on students," Sebastian smiled softly, "That's perfect. When she gets out of here, send her directly to Azkaban to grow herbs."
After getting Sebastian's assurance, Harry happily returned to the Gryffindor common room and discussed the anti-Ugric cause with several friends until late at night.
After returning to bed, he tossed and turned and couldn't fall asleep. After hesitating for a long time, he took out the magic phone and dialed the extremely familiar contact number.
With a beep, the call was connected.
"Hey, Draco, thank you for today, otherwise I would definitely fall into Umbridge's trap."
Harry's idea was simple. It was late at night and everyone had curtains on their beds. It would be okay to contact them secretly. The key was that he had to say thank you in person.
Draco was still a little confused. He had just fallen asleep when he was woken up by the phone call. However, he was not angry at all. Instead, he smiled and said, "It's nothing. We are just brothers."
He swore a little and then yawned loudly.
"After you left today, Umbridge was angry for a long time. She asked us to spread rumors in the school that you were unwilling to reconcile with her and still wanted to resist the Ministry of Magic. You should be careful. By the way, in the future, if you have something to do, you should use Legilimency to communicate, and try not to use magic mobile phones."
"Why?" Harry was a little puzzled. "I think this method is quite safe. We can chat in this way."
"It's not safe enough," Malfoy's voice was full of emotion, "None of us can guarantee that someone won't secretly lift the bed curtains. It's better here because everyone has a strong sense of distance. As for you, it would be bad if your Weasley found out."
Harry wanted to say that Ron would help keep the secret, but he was well aware of Malfoy's concerns.
The more people know, the greater the risk. If something unexpected happens, Malfoy will be in big trouble.
Harry swallowed what he wanted to say, and then listened to Malfoy muttering silently: "Also, this method is so relaxing, so relaxing that I feel like nothing happened."
"I'm worried that I will bring this relaxed mood into my campus life during the day, and then greet you as before..."
The sound on the phone paused for a few seconds before Harry heard Malfoy's emotional words.
"So... let's use Legilimency. It'll keep things more secret and allow me to stay alert."
Hearing this, Harry felt very upset. He suddenly realized that Malfoy's life was much harder than his.
At least he has many friends to face difficulties together, and he can simply be himself.
And Malfoy...
Harry heard that after the start of the school year, the other party took the initiative to distance himself from Astoria, and there was no one to talk to. He was acting with the anti-Harry Potter alliance all day long.
Harry opened his mouth, wanting to say something to comfort him, but when the words came to his lips, he felt that the words were so pale that they would not have any effect.
Compared to Harry's entanglement, Malfoy was much more free and easy: "Hey, Harry, I forgot to tell you that Umbridge has set up a review team. There are many students in it, the ones you met today."
"We are responsible for helping Umbridge monitor students and professors, and we can deduct points as we please. Montague and the others are very happy. Just wait and see, they will make trouble tomorrow."
At this point, Malfoy couldn't help but chuckle. "Actually, I think Montagu and the others are quite stupid. They never thought that Umbridge would only stay in Hogwarts for a year at most, while they would have to stay in school for two or three years."
"Professor Swan hates students who destroy the unity of the house and the image of Slytherin the most. If that happens, Mrs. Montgomery and his people will definitely suffer the consequences."
Harry smiled along with the other party, and then asked softly: "Draco, if the review team goes too far, other students will definitely fight back. Then you..."
"Don't worry about me, just fight back however you want," Malfoy said unconcernedly. "If possible, you'd better take the initiative to lead other students to fight back. This will be good for your reputation."
"If you see me, you have to take the initiative to attack me. The more ruthless you are, the safer I will be."
Hearing that Harry didn't respond, Malfoy chuckled and said, "Don't be embarrassed. I will also cause trouble for you and severely deduct points from Gryffindor. Be prepared. I will start tomorrow."
"Draco?"
"you say!"
"It will pass. Everything will pass."
Hearing this, Malfoy grinned, stretched out his left hand and gently covered his eyes, muttering.
"Well, I believe...I believe..."
............
The next morning, a rumor spread in the school: Umbridge put aside her status as a professor and took the initiative to make peace with Harry Potter, but Harry Potter not only did not appreciate it, but instead mocked Umbridge and threatened to rebel against the Ministry of Magic.
However, as soon as this rumor started, it was overshadowed by another more explosive news.
Umbridge formed an inspection team and recruited students to act as her spies to monitor the students and professors of Hogwarts.
Originally, everyone scoffed at the news, thinking that a professor would never do such a tasteless thing.
However, when Mr. Monty, wearing the badge of the review team, began to arrogantly deduct points from several Gryffindor students, everyone realized that the rumor might be true.
Afterwards, the new education order posted at the entrance of the auditorium shattered the students' last fantasy.
The students were completely furious, and everyone cursed Umbridge countless times in their hearts.
This is just the first batch of lackeys. I don’t know how many more people will be recruited in the future.
The Deputy Minister of Magic obviously regarded Hogwarts as his own private territory and actually brought the Ministry's intrigues into the school.
She sowed discord and divided trust among students, and tried to impose high pressure on the school in order to gain full control of the entire campus.
The students were extremely angry and began to hope that someone would stand up and lead them to fight back.
