Chapter 256: Escape from the Fortress
"But the boat can't move at all," Nami said.
"I say, let's cook and eat." Luffy said as he walked to the side of the Merry.
"How can you still say something so casual?" Nami snarled at Luffy with her fangs, "Look over there!"
Luffy turned his head and saw that all the searchlights had locked onto the Merry.
"Straw Hat Luffy and his companions." The loud speaker began to shout, "It is indeed amazing that you can fight against the Marine Fortress G8 to this point. Although you are the enemy, your courage is admirable. Straw Hat Pirates, listen carefully, don't be lucky enough to have a one in ten thousand chance of escape. All your expectations are under my control."
Luffy heard this and lowered his head and pressed his straw hat.
"Very good, good boys. I will punish you in the name of Commander Baron. Just surrender obediently." Jonathan said.
"Luffy." Nami looked at Luffy.
Luffy smiled beneath his straw hat.
"Straw Hat Boy, you, Roronoa Zoro, and the outsider Wang Hao are all people with a huge bounty on their heads. You must be transferred to the headquarters. I promise you the safety of your other companions." Jonathan said, "But if you try to escape, I will be angry."
"Don't be so slow," Shepard urged.
"I'm the commander here, and you're the inspector. Just shut up and watch." Jonathan said.
"Excuse me for a moment." Shepard turned around and left angrily.
In the end, Jonathan gave Luffy time to think, and Luffy returned to the stranded Merry.
Usopp took out the Shock Bay and wanted to use it to send the Merry into the sky and escape from the fortress.
The result was rejected.
"But it's impossible to escape after firing one shot," Sanji said, "If something happens to the bottom of the ship again, it will sink immediately."
"It should work if we use the octopus balloon to fly away again," Robin said.
"Ah, that's a good idea," said Zoro.
"Use the Flame Shells and the Flame Shells and the octopus will be full of air again," Nami said.

"Yes," said Robin.
"So there is." Zoro said.
"Yeah, I heard it too." Wang Hao nodded.
"Yeah, I do." Luffy grinned.
"Huh?" Everyone jumped up and looked at Luffy. Wang Hao subconsciously hid aside and looked at everyone in surprise.
Luffy reached into his pants and took out the octopus balloon: "Look."
"Why are you carrying this thing?" Nami shouted, pointing at Luffy's fangs.
"Because isn't it the savior who carried us down from the sky?" Luffy said as a matter of course.
"That's true." said Zoro.
"Don't you feel disgusted?" Sanji asked.
"What's wrong with that?" Luffy asked.
"Hahahaha, then let Mr. Octopus serve us again." Robin said with a smile, "Okay, Mr. Long Nose."
"Ah? Oh, but the Weibei that was supposed to be here is nowhere to be found." Usopp said.
"I thought it was quite interesting, so I played with it in the kitchen." Luffy put the Flame Shell directly on Usopp's face.
As it spoke, the shell spewed out flames.
"It's so hot. You idiot." Usopp dodged and pressed the shock wave against Luffy's stomach. "Now the question is who will trigger the shock wave."
Everyone's eyes lit up and they looked at Usopp sinisterly.
"What do you mean by that look!" Usopp shouted.
"Whose shock bey is that?" Luffy asked.
"Isn't it Usopp's?" Zoro said.
"Isn't it, Mr. Long Nose?" said Robin.
"It's only natural for the guy who came up with the idea to take part in the battle himself," said Sanji.
"Very handsome, Usopp." Nami said.
"I really admire you." Chopper said.
"There is no retreat, fight like a hero, Usopp." Wang Hao cheered Usopp.
"Don't be afraid, we will help you." Sanji said to the trembling Usopp.
"That's settled." Luffy said.
"No~" Usopp screamed.
Everyone acted separately. Chopper went to the observation deck to reef the sails, while Luffy, Sanji, Zoro, and Wang Hao carried Usopp, who was forced to do something unplanned, to the cabin.
"Everything is ready up there, I'll have to trouble you guys down there," Nami said.
"No, no, no, it hurts to press this." Usopp continued to struggle.
"3." Sanji started counting down.
"2." said Zoro.
"1." Luffy looked excited.
"Fire!" Wang Hao shouted.
"Attack!" everyone said in unison.
The Merry rushed out directly along the shallows, flew up along the slope, and after flying out of the fortress, it lost power and slowly descended.
Robin used his ability to pull apart the tentacles of the octopus balloon.
Nami took out the Wind Blower and started blowing.
"It's still descending." Luffy said as he climbed onto the deck.
"Luffy, use the Flame Shell." Nami said.
"Okay, open it for me." Luffy ran under the octopus and sprayed fire with a flame shell.
Before the Merry fell into the water, the octopus balloon finally inflated.
"Uncle Usopp, I want one more shot." Zoro carried Usopp to the front of the hole.
"Bai, idiot, I'm not made of tofu." Usopp said tremblingly.
"Next time I'll make sure you take advantage of me to your heart's content, okay?" Sanji said.
"What the hell is going on?" Usopp complained.
"Hurry, the water is leaking in." Wang Hao said.
"I can't stand it anymore, Master Usopp, I'm going to fire the second round." Usopp called out to encourage him, "Please help me, all three."
Of course, the three of them took the lead.
"This pain is the pain of the Golden Merry." Usopp shouted.

The Merry took off.
The navy saw this and prepared to fire, but suddenly, a missile came and bypassed the Merry directly, knocking down the cannon that was about to fire.
"You've helped me a lot again, Lieutenant Colonel Shepard." Jonathan said helplessly.
Facing the rising sun, the Merry flew away gracefully under the light of dawn.
"Awesome, you're really a hedgehog." Luffy looked back at the fortress and shouted.
"This fortress is so magnificent," said Chopper.
"Uncle, goodbye." Luffy waved towards the fortress and shouted loudly.
"And Miss Jessica." Sanji said infatuatedly.
"Hey, are you okay?" Usopp said worriedly, "Will we be beaten down at this speed?"
