Chapter 777: Captain's Heartache
Rocket heard the sadness and nostalgia in Thor's tone, turned his chair and glanced at him. He could tell Thor was worried, so he turned back silently, sighed, and muttered to himself:
"Okay! Time to play Captain Confidant!"
He got out of the driver's seat, walked over to Thor, pressed the screen, and said, "So, your brother is dead! Is that right? Yeah! That must be hard!"
"Well! He's died before!"
His words made Rocket turn his head and look at him. What did he mean by "he's died before"? How could he be resurrected after dying?
Thor's tone was a little low, "But this time is different, I think he might really be dead!"
"You also mentioned your sister and your father?"
Thor shook his head, "They're all dead!"
[Rocket then said: "But Mom is still alive! Isn't she?"]
Thinking of the dead Frigga, Thor's tone deepened, "Killed by the dark elves!"
Rocket, still a little bit unwilling to give up, asked again: "What about my best friend?"
"The heart was stabbed!"
Rocket was speechless. They were all dead, so he was the only one left, right?
"Are you sure you're in good enough condition to continue the mission?"
Thor raised his head and smiled, "Of course I can! The rage, the revenge, the loss of my loved ones, the regrets! All of this has become a huge motivation for me! It makes my mind clearer! So I'm fine!"
"Yeah! But I want to say, this Thanos is the most difficult to deal with!"
Thor said without hesitation: "Well! That's because he has never fought me!" Apparently forgetting what happened before.
Rocket was a little speechless and said, "We have fought!"
Thor said confidently, "But this time it's different! Don't forget! I'm going to have a new hammer soon!"
"Well, that hammer is pretty powerful!" Rocket said, but he was still a little skeptical.
Thor lowered his head and smiled, "You know! I've lived for fifteen hundred years! I've probably killed more than twice as many enemies! Every one of them wants to kill me! But so far, no one has succeeded!"
"Because this is my fate! More Thanos are just more defeated enemies! Sooner or later, he will experience my wrath! This is my destiny!"
"Hmm..." Rocket nodded silently, "What if you can't do it?"
Thor pursed his lips, his eyes determined, "If I can't do it... I've got nothing anyway!"
[As he spoke, tears flashed in his eyes, and then he turned his head away, not wanting to be seen by Rocket.]
Rocket lowered his head in silence. When Thor stood up and walked to his seat, he muttered to himself, "I'm not completely broke! I'm talking about myself! I don't want to lose too much!"
"Captain Confidant? Hmm! I think it's more like Captain Heartbroken!" Star-Lord complained silently.
"Hahahahahaha!!!" Drax immediately burst into laughter.
"Shit, big guy, shut up!" Rocket cursed inwardly, then said to Star-Lord, "Come on! I didn't know he would be so miserable!!!"
"Yeah! It's really tragic! Thor!" Scott smacked his lips. Almost all his family members and friends were dead, and he didn't even know whether the half of the people led by Valkyrie escaped successfully!
Thor tilted his head, "It doesn't matter! They are all here now! All I have to do is protect them from being harmed!"
"Including the one downstairs?" Rhodes raised his eyebrows.
"Yes! Although Hela is bad! But she is also my family! I will stop her from doing evil things!" Thor nodded, looking very serious.
"Thor! You know! We can't keep her locked in that room forever!" Strange reminded.
"Yeah! I know! But, we don't have a better way to deal with it now. If we let her out, she will definitely be in trouble based on her recognition! Whether it's her or anyone else, I don't want to see this scene."
Thor naturally knew that locking Hela in a room would not allow her to understand what kindness and goodness were. After all, Odin had locked her up for thousands of years, and she had not changed for the better.
Barton smiled and said, "Find her a companion? Try to influence her?"
Natasha on the side immediately rolled her eyes. Looking at Hela's current bitter and resentful look, anyone who enters that room will be in danger!
Upstairs, they were discussing how to deal with Hela, while downstairs, Hela was sitting on the bed, looking at Thor on the sky, silent.
She has been trying to use her divine power since just now, but the magic circle on her body made her realize that her power has been completely sealed, which forced her to give up relying on herself to regain the divine power. Now she just wants to know whether what Thor said about sacrificing the soul of her loved one is true!
Rocket pulls out an eyeball from his bag. "Okay! Well! If fate really orders you to kill that bastard, you can't turn a blind eye!"
Thor took the eyeball Rocket handed him and asked, "What is this?"
"What do you think? I lost this to some jerk on Contraxia!"
Thor raised his head in slight surprise, "He lost his eyeball to you?"
Rocket, who was sitting in the driver's seat, turned around and explained, "No! He lost a hundred dollars to me! That night, I broke into his room and stole his eyeball!"
Thor holds the fake eye and says gratefully, "Thank you, little warm rabbit!"
[Then Thor took off the eye patch on his right eye and inserted the artificial eye directly into it.]
Rocket couldn't bear to watch, so he turned his head and said, "Oh! You'd better wash it before using it! Ahem! I had no clothes on when I sneaked out from over there, so I had to hide in my..."
Before Rocket could finish his words, a notification sounded on the cockpit screen. He immediately turned around and said, "Hey! We're here!"
"Hey!!! Rocket! You're not hiding behind..." Kristen looked behind Rocket with disgust.
"Well... I don't have anywhere else to put it after all!" Rocket shrugged.
"God!" Star-Lord's expression was indescribable.
Captain America's cheeks twitched slightly. It was really unbearable to watch.
But Thor didn't care too much. After so many years of fighting, he had long been accustomed to those dirty things.
