As soon we got inside my apartment, “So, I believe you had a great day at work?” Nick asked. I sat down with a slump, while I kept my handbag beside me. With my head on the headrest of the couch, an image of him popped up in my head. I muffled a grunt before shaking my head. “Kiara?” Nick called my name softly, and then I sit up. “Is there a problem?” He asked worriedly, his dark brown eyes watching my face. I forced a little smile and say, “There's no problem, why?” He pulled my hand and made me rise to my feet, “Then I guess your mind was not here” He says huskily, pulling me to sit onto his laps. “How was your first at work?” His steady breath fanning against my collarbone, and then he bites my earlobe, which caused a flood between my thighs. I subconsciously closed my eyes, and his face appeared immediately. I quickly flung my eyes open, I should concentrate on my relationship with Nick now, Moreover, he's my boyfriend and as a matter of fact, he likes me very much. I scoffed silently before pushing the CEO's door open and to my utmost surprise, he was on his seat already. My eyes and mouth opened wide in surprise as I quickly glanced at my wristwatch. Damn! I was five minutes late. My heart started to rise and fall as my palms became soaked with my sweats, why was he early today? I never thought he could resume so early, isn't he the CEO? My fist clenched at my both sides as I began to walk feebly into the office, all those while, his gaze wasn't leaving the monitor on his table.

As soon as I got to his table, “Good morning, sir” I greeted politely with my gaze lowered. He didn't respond, which caused my anxiety to grow. I didn't leave, he didn't cast me a glance either. The sound of the keyboards could be only heard, I slowly removed my eyes from my feet, it stopped at his impeccable face, some strands of his black hair were dangling on his forehead. His eyelashes were thick and curly as if butterflies staying on his lids, his pink lips is pursed and suddenly that cute lips of his made a quick movement. Huh? Did he just say something? He raised his head to stare at me, his brows were furrowed, probably expecting me to reply him, but how do I reply him, when I was lost staring at his carefully made face that I didn't hear what he had said. “Miss Kiara” He called softly, “Yes, sir?” I quickly answered this time, “I was talking to you” He said, calmly. 'Yeah, I knew you were talking to me, but I was lost while staring at your beautiful face that I didn't hear a single word that you said' I mentally told myself, and as soon as I said that to myself, my subconsciousness sneered; you're fired, Kiara! Yeah, I know, just stay out of this. “You're late,” He said, levelly. Honestly, I never knew the time has passed, the drive from my house to this place was just Twenty minutes drive. And I never thought… “I'm sorry, sir” I apologized rather before I would blurt rubbish. “You're sorry?” He stood up from his swivel chair, and walked closer to me. I pressed my lips to a tight line, not daring to look up at his face. “I told you about my rules and regulations, didn't I?” I shut my eyes as I couldn't help our closeness, “I… Was… I'm truly sorry, sir” As I said this, my head was still lowered. But as soon as I raised my head to look at his face, my eyes came in contact with his emerald eyes. He was staring straight and deep into my eyes, my stomach tightened immediately while my heart beat tremendously, my breathing hitch, and I was starting to get scared he's going to hear the hard beating of my heart. I wanted to look away, but I guess I've been captured underneath his stance, his eyes were not leaving my face, and he was not blinking his eyes either. My eyes slowly traveled down to his lips, and I almost cursed loudly. The heck!

A soft knock suddenly came on the door, I nearly flinched as I quickly took my eyes away from his face. I tried taking a step backward, but my feet didn't oblige. Alright.

I expected him to say something already, but still… The knock came again, “Come in” The door opened as soon as he said that. “I came to report…” The secretary was saying, “My Personal Assistant has been assigned to report all subsequent schedule” His baritone voice cut the secretary short. “So you can go back to your work now” He concluded, and I felt his gaze returned to my face again. “Alright sir” The secretary said, and I heard the door closes afterwards. “The next time you resume a minute late…” He paused, and all of a sudden, I was feeling his steady breath fanning against the side of my neck, my heart thud, and my eyes closes on their own. What is he about to do? “Then I won't hesitate to f!ck you right on this table” He whispered huskily, I stiffened at his words. “That would always be your punishment,” He finished saying. My mouth dried up at once as I gulped down nothing. And with that, he stood properly and returned to his seat. I've already lost balance, my mind was just coming back together to form a piece. “You can go to your seat now” I nodded quickly and with force, I dragged my feet towards my seat in the enormous office. After I sat down, I began to go through all the files and documents on my table, where do I start from? I flipped the pages, not knowing where to begin with and of course, I can't bring myself to question the CEO. The door suddenly swings open, Mack stormed in, looking frantic.

“Alex” He called softly as he marched towards the CEO seat. “Yeah, speak” He said in a bossy like tone, without removing his eyes from the laptop he was typing on. “There's trouble,” He began, causing the CEO to look up in a swift. “DY corporation is organizing a banquet in honor of their chairman,” The CEO leaned back on his swivel chair, staring at Mack in the face. “And how's that trouble?” He queried, folding his arms up in his chest. Mack ruffled his hair before saying, “you are invited Alex and more or less you know, their chairman doesn't speak English, only French language” Mack pressed on. And immediately, the CEO sprang to his feet, raking a hand through his hair. “And it's important you go Alex, remember the contract…” “ Of course, I do remember Mack,” He chipped in, hoarsely. “You know how much I dislike that language not to talk of speaking it, what are we going to do?” He asked Mack, while walking out of his seat. “The good news is that a representative is allowed, but the bad news is that, none of our employees can't speak the language fluently,” Mack said with an exasperated sigh, while sitting down on one of the chairs in front of the CEO's table. “I can speak French language” I blurted before I could hold myself. Instantaneously, they both turned to my direction, their face marred with surprise.
