Chapter 31

"Ay me! Mate, what's your state?"

The man towered over him. He wished that the man were gone but the fellow had been standing there for couple minutes. It seemed as though he would be left with no choice but to stand up and explain what he was doing there with the helmet, if the man had noticed.

He kept his face down as though he was dead and could never come back to live. He wanted the man to believe that and keep walking but that fellow seemed not be moved at all. It seemed more like having to fill an odd and trying to make it seem as though the odd had been created to spoil and foil what he was trying to stand for.

Before the man could bring himself to saying what he had said up there. He had fought with his instinct to have a stance but he had no idea how. He had asked himself several questions about how someone sane would be at the shore at such hour of the day.

He had thought that the fellow would be vexed and pissed off or irritated and leave him at the spot. But hell wrong he was. The fellow was not ready to do anything close to that. Twas some dipshit.

The man sounded English. Like he had come from England. He loved not to make deals with them. They were somewhat cunny and always act seasoned. They kinda pretend to be the best to him and others in his place and try to take the place of prominent people amongst them.

He wasn't actually a politician or renowned folk in his place but would never put up with the odds of not getting his stance as a citizen. He knew what he wanted and would go just for it. He was quite sure about that.

"Dead or alive, mate. Get up!"

The man cursed again. He was kinda angered. Ja Lia didn't know what his source of anger was. He hadn't displeased him of course. If he felt like helping a man lying on the earth, then he should do that with care and not shouting.

Lia was forced to think that if he was sane like for real, would the man had acted to him that same way. He kinda wanted to stand up and punch the man in the guts but that didn't really matter at the moment. There was more to it.

"I'll leave right now if you don't stand now. His he drunk or something?"

The man seemed to try to make a balance between asking a question and making an hypotheses. He could feel that of course.

Then the man left. Lia felt it. His silhouette which had left a glint of it tower on his neck through his body to the fall of the shore seemed to be retrieved. He didn't look up yet.

He was trying to be sure that the man had left. There was no way that he could figure that out without raising his head. And the odd thing about that was the fact that, footsteps could never be heard. Twas a seashore.

He waited patiently for some moments and unwillingly slept off. When he woke up again. His face was to the cold sand which were recently getting warm owed to the rage of the drooling sun.

He raised himself up immediately when he sucked a bowl of sand when he tried to yawn while he face was in the sand.

He felt like he was choking and tried to get the stuff off his throat and ran straightly into the sea. He was skeptical whether to step inside it or not. He didn't know what to do.

He had never been in the sea and being a first time, there were quite the numbers of things that were bound to happen and he knew that quite well. He needed not to tell lies to himself of course.

But he swept his courage into a whole and put one of his legs inside the retreating waves. When the wave returned, he removed it and would move backwardly. He had no idea what to do.

After serveral attempts and some odds owed to it, he entered the water. In its shallow and stooped to scoop some body of the waters. If he didn't do that, he would only choke and would definitely die. He wouldn't do that. He would never be able to afford it of course.

He took swigs of the waters scooped and puked. Some of the sand came off the throat and he seemed to be sane for the meantime. He stepped outta the water and faced the long waters.

He could see the horizon towering. The height of the waters and its complexities. He was trying to figure out how possible twould be for him to navigate and have his way around the whole thing. Twas more like a mirage to him.

He wanted to leave the place to the next country but there was no way be could do that. He hadn't thought of it. He had only been quick to escaping. His eyes escape plan was crippled and could possibly take him nowhere of course.

He hadn't seen a boat or ship since he had been there. It seemed as though he would be all by himself. But one thing he was damn sure of was the fact that he could never return to Rome. Twas never possible.

He would swim his way through the water till he would be borne across the ocean. He didn't know if that was stupid or crazy. That didn't matter to him. All that mattered was the fact that he knew what he was doing and he had gone for it. He wasn't skeptical. He believed in himself. But it seemed as though that wouldn't be enough. Like there should be and would be more to it. The fate of the odds would be made to mean quite the numbers of things.
