Three Years Later!!!
Orlando, FL.
"Rachel, can you please get me the baby's feeding bottle?"
Rachel who has just got down from her room went into the kitchen to get the baby's bottle she handed it to Adrianna. She picked up her phone and typed away, becoming serious with whatever she was doing on it.
Adrianna filled the baby's bottle with milk and warm water and kept it in the baby's bag. Six-month-old Alessia, she had given birth to her early January.
Adrianna didn't expect to give birth so soon after the twins came but she got pregnant and accepted her fate. It wasn't that bad though since she barely falls sick during pregnancy which makes it easier for her.
She zipped Alessia's bag and checked if she didn't forget anything else. She sighed and wondered why her husband and the twins haven't come down yet including Asher.
"Melanie, where are your niece and Nephew?" Adrianna asked, Melanie, rolled her head backward, and answered her.
"That's one of my nieces with you and the other one with her brother is somewhere in the" she was cut off by Roman's noise.
"Yaaaaaa, I'm superman" the two-year-old screamed and jumped from the last stair to the floor.
"You could have jumped from the beginning of the stair" his twin sister London interjected and hissed.
Melanie and Rachel looked from one another and to London. She sneers at both of them. "Hi, mum" she greeted.
"Hi baby," Adrianna said, focusing on a crying Alessia. She groaned and let the little one sucked her breast. "What a foodie!"
"Are we all ready to go?" Elijah asked everyone.
"Yes," Asher replied out of nowhere with an apple in his hand. He was wearing his favorite jacket Elijah had gotten him from Italy.
"Stephanie is still in her room". Said Rachel who has put her phone away.
"I'm here" she made her presence known.
"Then let's move it". Elijah said.
Today was a very good day to have gone out for a family lunch at Melanie's restaurant. She had used the amount of money Brenda gave to her as her own property to build a restaurant.
It has always been one of her dreams. She thought about what to do with her own share and figured out she likes to cook and she would make a fine chef even though she wouldn't be the one cooking at the restaurant every time and with her recipes, her employees will surely do well and so she her family what she wanted to do. Support from the family was she all needed and with their help, everything went well.
She had built the restaurant not far away from the house Adrianna gifted to her. Tyson's House here in Orlando, Florida where she now lived with Rachel, her best friend. They've grown to be so fond of each other and decided to leave Adrianna's house at Albany since the birth of the twins and moved to Florida.
Most particularly, Adrianna was proud of everyone's progress and the fact that they've learned not to live without one another. The distance was the only thing that separates them but still, they were always there for each other.
Family comes first. Stephanie and Asher, those two would never stop fighting always arguing about who's older. Asher never cared anyway. Stephanie would always start the fights and Asher would end up winning. But, whenever the fight is from outside, Asher and Stephanie would fight for themselves and make jest of whoever the person is. Those two were something else.
Elijah sat across the diner, and stared at his family, everyone present at the table. He was grateful on their behalf. The last four years weren't easy, but they had all pulled through. Asher was doing fine! He calls him Papi just as Adrianna called his father Papi. The bond between the siblings was one he admired. He wished it was like that between him, Francesca, and Rachel. But it was just between him and Rachel.
How could the love be so strong between Adrianna, Asher, Melanie, and Stephanie Asher and Adrianna were from Brenda but a different father? Melanie and Stephen were the same mothers but different fathers. One could never know. He was happy that Brenda did something right between Adrianna and Asher.
Malcolm on his own part was a good father who impacted love between his children and never has he made any of them regret being their father. He wished to be like Malcolm. He would teach his three children love and understanding and how to be there for one another.
"Dad, can I have more fries," London's tiny voice said.
Roman wanted more fries too and so Elijah had to order for more fries for the twins.
Rachel didn't tell any of them that she invited Davis until he arrived at the restaurant. They were more than surprised to see him, especially to have come all the way from California.
Davis told them he arrived a night before because Rachel wanted him to come to see them and she had invited him for lunch too.
"How's work, Davis?" Melanie asked grinning widely. Her well set of teeth obvious to everyone.
"We know you have a fine teeth aunt Mel" London shot at her.
But the big aunty chose to ignore the sharp mouthed girl. Adrianna told London to not talk till they leave the restaurant. She was getting tired of her snarky comments every now and then.
Rachel hit the spoon lightly against the glass cup. "Attention! Attention!! Attention please!!!" She cleared her throat.
They were all waiting to hear what she wants to say. And like a bomb, she dropped it.
"I'm pregnant" she smiled and held Davis's hand.
"That was a big surprise sis" Melanie rejoiced.
