87. A Passionate Kiss.
Deangelo.
I had been drinking a lot this night. I stumbled through the dark hallway, still feeling the effects of the wine I had been drinking with father earlier. I stumbled towards Mia's room, my steps unsteady and my mind hazy. I knocked on her door, calling out to her, but she refused to let me in. Her voice was muffled, but I could hear the anger and hurt in it. I knew that I had to find a way to talk to her, to make her understand.
Mia's voice cut through the air, harsh and angry. "Go away!" she yelled from inside.
Undeterred, I refused to give up. I walked around the house and peered up at the second-story window of Mia's room. True enough, she had forgotten to lock it. A small smile crept across my face as I climbed up onto the windowsill and pushed the window open.
Mia whirled around when she heard the sound of the window sliding open. She grabbed a nearby stick and pointed it at me, demanding that I leave immediately. But I was not one to back down from a challenge. I laughed off the stick and continued to approach her.
She reached for the pillows on her bed and began to throw them at me in a desperate attempt to make me leave. But I merely batted them away, teasing her about her weak throws.
"Maybe I should give you some self-defense lessons," I joked, but when he saw that his teasing was not working, I dropped the nonchalant attitude and walked over to Mia, wrapping my arms around her.
'I love you, Princess,'I whispered in her ear, my voice tender and filled with emotion. She didn't seem to believe me, not after what had happened with Andrew. But I didn't give up. I held her close, my heart aching with guilt. I knew that I had made a mistake, but I didn't know how to fix it. Mia looked up at me, tears streaming down her face.
After some coaxing, Mia finally told me she loved me too, but then she noticed the smell of alcohol on my breath. Her face contorted with anger.
"Have you been drinking?" she demanded, her voice rising in anger.
I couldn't help but laugh at her reaction, feeling ashamed of myself. "We can break the rules just this once, Mia," I said, hoping to lighten the mood.
Mia hugged me again and for the first time in days, I felt a sense of peace. I carried her to her bed and she fell asleep in my arms. I stayed with her for a while, watching her sleep, and then I left, his heart free and better.
Since the drama had been resolved, I decided that I needed to invited Andrew over for dinner so that we could chat and I could apologize, on Mia’s insistence of course for my bad behavior the last time we had met.
When the doorbell rang, I opened the door to find Andrew standing there, looking a little nervous. I gave him a warm smile and welcomed him inside. Mia hugged Andrew tightly, and I couldn't help but notice how happy she looked.
The table was set with our finest china and silverware. I had prepared an elaborate feast, featuring all of Mia's favourite dishes. As we sat down to eat, I could sense the tension in the air. I decided to break the ice by offering a toast. "To new beginnings," I said, raising my glass.
Dinner was a success. The meal was delicious, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Andrew was polite and courteous, and I found myself warming up to him. We talked about sports, movies, and school. Andrew even shared some stories about his own family, and I could see the kindness in his eyes.
After dinner, they moved to the living room to watch TV. Andrew had brought some tubes of ice cream, and they dug in. I was surprised at how much fun they were having. Andrew introduced some games, and even Diego joined in. I couldn't help but smile at the sight of my children laughing and having a good time.
As the evening wore on, I began to see Andrew in a new light. I realized that I had been unfair to the boy, judging him before getting to know him. Andrew was a good boy, with a kind heart and a gentle spirit. I felt ashamed of the way he had treated him before and I apologized to him.
Besides the fun of the night and Andrew being a special guest, I could not stop looking at Elena throughout dinner and the rest of the evening. I noticed her sneaking secret glances at me too so I knew she noticed how much I was staring at her. I could not forget the words that the witch had said to me about how holding on to the past could prevent me from experiencing great love. I did not need anyone to draw an arrow and a large sign to tell me that this great love would be between Elena and I.
I couldn't stop thinking about Elena as I watched her from across the dinner table. Her beauty and grace were as captivating as ever, and I found himself lost in her gaze. As we ate and laughed with Andrew, I couldn't help but wonder if she felt the same way about me.
As the night wore on, I found myself more and more drawn to Elena. I couldn't resist the way she laughed or the way her hair fell across her face. I wanted to tell her how I felt, but I didn't know how.
When Elena excused herself to use the restroom, I looked at the rest of the family. They were all engrossed in the fun and games they were having, Camilla was giving Luca fuck me eyes but my beta was purposely behaving like he did not see nor understand. I knew that my absence would not be missed, so I took the opportunity to leave.
Father stopped me at the corridor and asked me where I was going since the dinner was not entirely over yet. I told him that I was going to bed early. Father did not look like he believed me but he could not question me after all so he allowed me to go.
Outside, the cool night air hit me, and I breathed in deeply. I felt alive, free, and a little scared. I didn't know what was going to happen, but I knew I had to take a chance. It took me a good deal of time to find Elena. It was as if she knew I would be looking for her and she made herself scarce. I found her at the other side of the house, staring at the expansive landscape below.
I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as I approached her. I took her in my arms, pulling her close to me. I could feel her body against mine, and I knew that I was right about this step.
We shared a passionate kiss, one that was filled with all the longing and desire that we had been trying to ignore. It was a kiss that acknowledged the connection that we shared, one that allowed us to finally let go and be together.
My heart beat fast as I pulled away from her, trying to catch my breath. I looked at her with an intensity that she had probably never seen before. It felt like we had been holding back for too long, and finally, we were letting ourselves be consumed by the passion that had been building up between us. Elena looked back at me, her eyes filled with longing and desire.
Without a word, We walked towards the balcony, looking out at the night sky. The stars twinkled above us, and the cool breeze brushed against our faces. I wrapped my arm around Elena, pulling her close to me. I felt her shiver and I knew that it was not just because of the cold air. We stood in silence, both lost in our own thoughts, trying to figure out what to do next.
We stood there for what seemed like hours, just enjoying each other's company. As we broke apart, they both knew that there was no turning back. We had finally given in to our feelings, and we knew that we would never be able to deny them again.
I even wanted to go down right now and tell everyone that we were now together but she stopped me and told me that she needed time to ease everybody into the idea. She also reminded me that this was hardly the right time to tell everyone, considering also that we had a guest.
I understood Elena's point of view, I nodded my head in agreement and pulled her into a tight embrace. "I understand. We'll take it slow," I whispered into her hair.
Elena leaned into my embrace, feeling the warmth of my body and the beat of my heart. "Thank you for understanding," she murmured softly.
I leaned back slightly to look into her eyes. "I'll wait for as long as it takes. I just want to be with you, Elena."
