However… it seemed as though most films made in the United States were of this style. Wasn't the very popular Avatar also transmigrating to another planet and falling madly in love with the indigenous girl?

Well, it's almost the same.

The director and investment were key to this! If the director was reliable and the investment was high, then it would definitely drive Tomorrow is Beautiful to the ground!
