“Is there something else?”
I pushed the door open, leading us to the best part. Her hand slipped from mine, flying up to cover her mouth. “You turn this into a music room? Wouldn’t it disrupt your sleep?”
“I made sure this is soundproof.”

“You’re full of surprises, Krew.” I held a chair for her in the dining room. I prepared simple food for our morning date because it was four in the morning.
“If you still remember that I asked you out on a date. So here I am, taking you on our morning date. I hope you like veal cutlets in herbs.”
“Thank you. I forgot I that haven’t eaten anything after lunch,” she admitted.
“Me too. That’s why I prepared desserts too.” I sat to her left.
“How did you do all these?”
“Nothing is impossible when my woman is hungry. Your stomach kept grumbling in your sleep.”
“Really?” Her cheeks turned crimson. “I was lazy to get up when you’re all in caveman mood.”
I poured her red wine into her glass. “Bon appetite, baby. So how’s your channel?”
“Awesome. I reached half-mil subs.”
“Wow! Congrats. It’s a milestone and another reason to celebrate.”
“Thanks. Thanks to your brother, you, Krys, and Journey for being so supportive, and endorsement too. And my collab with Adam did a huge help. The comments were mostly positive.”
Once we finished with the main, I went to the kitchen to get the dessert. When I came back, River met me with the most dashing smile.
“Let’s have this dessert on the couch. There’s nothing special, baby. Just a cannoli crepes with ricotta. I drizzled it with lemon syrup and sprinkled with pistachio.”

We spooned on the couch. I fed her with a tiny slice of crepes. “How’s it?”
She was chewing with squinty eyes. Then she licked her lips. “It’s really good. I’ve been dying to ask the first time you cook in Anna’s kitchen. How did you learn how to cook?”
“Dad did cook. He loved cooking.”
“I heard he once worked in the restaurant.”
“Dad was supporting himself while in college. He did a waitstaff before he became close to one of the chefs. He even borrowed some cash from the chef to pay for his tuition. Later on, he married his daughter.”
“What? Wow.” She looked surprised and astonished.
“Yeah. Then they separated. That’s the worst day of our lives. Kai struggled so bad. Krys and I, too. But Kai did it all bad. That’s why he doesn’t do relationships. It hit him pretty bad and kept the idea in his head that relationship destroys people. He was in love with a woman once. Then she only wanted something from him.”
“I feel sorry for him. Kai is a good guy with a bad experience in relationships.”
I shoved another forkful into her mouth. “You’re beautiful.”
“You always said that.” She blushed.

“You don’t have any idea how you affect me, do you? I thought you always took my breath away, made me forget things every time I looked into your eyes.”
