❤️ War And Death (Part 2) ❤️
Rumi lifted up her right hand to knock but the door opened to reveal a semi naked Dean who was already dressed in his chainmail armor.
"Come in, I have been expecting you." Dean uttered and opened the door widely for her to enter.
"What is he doing here?" Rumi demanded pointing at Kando.
"He is helping me prepare for the war ahead." Dean answered as Kando gave him his sword.
"Oh, you weren't surprised when you saw me." Rumi said.
"I told you that I was expecting you. I know you would come to be under my protection as well as fight alongside, with me, against my enemies. Seeing my defeated warriors in Ashland would have alerted you of my coming hence you are here." Dean smirked.
"True and also why didn't you inform me that you would be attacking Ashland, I would have stayed back here instead of going home." Rumi stated.
"I gave out orders for you not to get hurt, ask Kando here." Dean grinned and Kando nodded his head in confirmation. "But that's in the past now, you are here and that is what matters." he added.
At that moment, Edgardo appeared in the room.
Dean didn't look surprised when he saw him, instead, he was expecting him. He knew Edgardo would come back and if it wasn't for the presence of Kando and Rumi, he would have given him a piece of his mind of why he wanted him to turn his back on Kando and Cando. He wasn't uch afraid of him, after all he was also a god like him and he shouldn't be scared seeing him.
Edgardo glared at Kando.
"You are here already, you do know that I will be needing you and your Ninja's since my armies will be attacking Ashland, I can't just rely only on Kando and Rumi. I need you also." Dean babbled out. "Let's forget about what had happened between us in the past and let's focus on our enemy. Our one enemy." he inserted.
"They're outside." Edgardo murmured, still glaring at Kando who pretended not to notice the stare. "We are going to win."
Shifting his gaze to Dean, Edgardo gave a brief smile at him, then his eyes moved back to Kando then back to him and he gave Dean a raised eyebrow.
Dean seems to know why Edgardo was raising his eyebrow at him.
"Don't worry, he is clean. He is not what you think he is and I have confirmed it." Dean muttered then gesture with his head towards the door. "Come with me, Kando." he added and both of them left the room, he returned almost immediately. "And Edgardo, this is my ally, she is really gifted in magic, very gifted." he praised Rumi which made her smile. "And Rumi I know you may be wondering what's going on and who is he but it's a long story which I will tell you another day. This isn't Storm, he is Edgardo and yes he is related to Storm and they are brothers. Get to know each other and meet us outside." he left them alone.
"You came here instead of tomorrow morning, why didn't you do as I told you?" Edgardo inquired. "I don't like when I am not being obeyed." He added in anger.
"I have to be here because I know Dean would plan to attack Ashland tonight and look, I wasn't wrong." Rumi uttered with a shrug not scared one bit by Edgardo's anger.
"Dean won't be attacking tonight, with his large armies, they will be reaching the great wall before the morning sun comes out. I am the one who gives out orders, don't try to change the point, I gave you a simple instruction, which you disobeyed. If you weren't important in this war, I would have killed you right here and now." Edgardo told her.
"I'm sorry." Rumi apologized. "But you also didn't tell me you are meeting Dean." She added. "So we are even."
"Why should I tell you? Wasn't I the one who introduced you to him, I told you the lies to tell him and he believed you."
"It wasn't a lie, I know Sarah." Rumi stated.
"Whatever," Edgardo said and then put one of his hands in his chest pocket and brought out a tiny bag from it which he threw at Rumi who caught it effortlessly. "That's it."
"Okay." She opened the tiny bag and saw two colored little seeds, about five pieces, half of it was red and the other half was black. "What is this?" she demanded.
"What I told you I would give you," he answered. "Find a way to grind it then make sure you blew it right in his face." he told her.
"That's easy, I can do that." Rumi muttered, taking the five seeds from the bag and throwing the now empty small bag back at Edgardo. "I have to go now before Dean starts getting suspicious of us." she added and left the room.
Edgardo smiled to himself and disappeared and reappeared where Dean and Kando were standing in front of his Ninja's. There were about two thousand of them and some were outside the Palace compound since the compound can't contain them.
"As you can see today is a very big day for us, we've been preparing and training for this day to come and it has finally arrived. Like I always tell you, I want to rule over this world. A world of only victors, a world of only peace, we will conquer all our enemy and kill him. You all have a target, make sure he doesn't live to see the dusk of tomorrow." Edgardo stated to his Ninja's who were quiet, Rumi joined them, she wasn't surprised to see Edgardo there before her. "Get ready and remember you embrace death with dignity and courage. Remember that I was killed and now I am standing here alive so even if you die you will have faith that I Edgardo will bring you back to life. Keep that in mind." he added.
All the Ninja's present all hit their chests with their swords and pointed it upwards.
"Good," Edgardo said with a lopsided smile and faced Dean. "Get ready, while Kando and his brother face the armies, you will stay in the Palace. Storm is coming.
"Why will he come here and not with the rest of his armies? Why?" Dean demanded.
"For two things, one is to kill the both of us and the other reason is to save her mother who you've imprisoned." he pointed at Rumi. "Right Rumi?"
Dean watched Rumi's face expecting to see a shocking expression but none showed.
"So you knew your mother was here all along? What games are you playing Rumi?" Dean questioned. "Do you plan to stab me in the back when I'm not looking?"
That's what I am about to do to you soon. She thought.
Heaving out a sigh, she smirked at Dean. "You think I didn't know my mother was here? I knew all along that you held my mother captive and before you ask how I know, Sarah told me. She even told me she visited you." Rumi revealed.
"So you won't try to free your mother?" Dena asked with raised brows, finding it hard to believe it.
"Who is she to me? For all I know Sarah is the one I know, she is the one who took care of me and not that stu.pid woman you have in your prison. She deserves to be there and deserves to be punished." Rumi put in. She made sure her face was void of any pity expression as she spoke about her mother. She wondered what Edgardo is aiming to achieve with this. Why did he tell Dean and why did he say it in her presence?
Dean stared at her for close to two minutes and was satisfied with whatever he saw there and grinned.
"When the war is over, I will punish Adaoh and you will be present." Dean told her.
"I will gladly join you in punishing her too, mine is way more deadly," she said, staring at Edgardo and then back at Dean. "You remember the state Juno or Kira- as you called her- was when you saw her, that's just a little bit of my cruelty." Rumi purred and grinned darkly when she saw the surprised look on Dean's face. "If I can do that to my own sister knowing fully well that we are related, how much more for my mother who gave birth to me?"
"You are something else Rumi, I like that," Dean observed. It is now official, after the war and he has Kira back in his arms, he will get married to the two sisters. Both are blessed with beauty and brains. "Kando," he said, tearing his eyes off Rumi brown ones, "Go and meet your brother and attack the enemies when you see them coming, do not hold back." he ordered and Kando bowed his head in respect and left them, flying out of the Palace. "If you are to fight with us, you've got to have your sword," he told Rumi.
"Don't worry about me, I'm always with one." Rumi assured him.
"Since we will be waiting for Storm to come, I will be in my throne room." Dean said and left them.
Edgardo motioned with his head and some of his Ninja's followed Dean.
"What was that for?" Rumi catechized immediately when she was sure that Dean wouldn't hear them.
"What was what?" Edgardo snorted.
"Don't pretend as if you don't know what I am talking about. Telling Dean about Adaoh isn't my problem but telling him right now and in my face, was that even necessary? What do you hope to get from it?" she snapped at him.
"Your reaction and I must commend you, you did well." Edgardo answered. "Relax, besides, he won't be alive to carry out his promise of punishing your mother." he whispered the last part.
Rumi took a deep breath to calm herself.
"I don't like such jokes, if you try this next time regardless of who you are I am going to kick your ar.se." she told him with her most serious face.
"Sure sure," he noted. That is if you are still alive. He thought to himself, smiling at Rumi who stared straight forward at his Ninja's.
"So are we going to stand or sit and wait for Storm to come?" She asked without turning to look at him.
"If you want to sit, you can." Edgardo said and stared upwards at the sky which was becoming dark.
Rumi shrugged and then sat down on the floor, putting her legs across each other and her arms which are now empty under her jaw. Even though she was staring at the Ninja's in front of her, she kept stealing glances at Edgardo once in a while and she wondered what Edgardo was staring at in the sky.

Kudarma Army Camp:
"We start moving." Kando ordered as soon as he landed besides his brother. He could see that they have finished eating and we're cleaning and dressing up. "By the time we get to the great wall and cross it to the other side of Ashland, it will be morning, and it depends on how fast we move." Be added.
"Aren't we waiting for Dean to join us?" Cando asks in a whisper.
"No, he gave the order, I am to join you and lead the armies."
"Won't he be needing protection?" Cando asked.
"No, he is covered."
"What do you mean he is covered when you are here or are you here to take some armies with you back to the Palace?" he asked.
"No, like I told you, I am here to Join you. He has Rumi and Edgardo with him and as for protection, why will he need protection when he has over two thousand Ninja's in the Palace waiting for Storm?" Kando questioned.
"Ninja's?"
"Yes, you heard me loud and clear," Kando said. The same ones he saw that night at the forest behind the palace. "We have no time, let's start marching."
Nodding his head at his brother. "It's time!" He yelled out at the armies and one after the other the armies started arranging themselves in line and soon they began marching towards the great wall with Kando and Cando flying ahead of them, though at a slow pace.
"Why did you tell Dean that Storm was planning to attack tonight when you know your woman is there. Do you plan to have her killed just because she rejected you? That's low of you." Cando sneered at him.
"I have to save my neck and yours." Kando told him.
"My neck? Why?"
"Because Edgardo told him that we have regained our memories and we were only pretending to obey him. He wanted him to kill us."
"And so? Are we not strong like him? Can he fight the two of us at once?"
"But Edgardo will help him and believe it or not we are no match for him," Kando said. "Besides there is something you should know about Gwen."
"She left you for Morgan, right? Is she happy with him?"
"No, she told me that she loves me. And I believe her, Cando. I am tired of denying my feelings for her. Do you know that she even rejected Morgan right in front of me? I was so happy but hid it from her. That Prince is obsessed with my Gwen," Kando said.
"I am so happy for you, at least you will get your happy ending."
"There is more."
"More? How?"
"Gwen."
"She rejected you again?"
"Not that, Gwen is pregnant."
