❤️ My Hostage (Part 22) ❤️
"Yes father, it's me," Rumi said with a tight smile on her face. She did not stammer and knew it wouldn't escape Emera's ears.
"..." Emera paused in what he was about to say when he saw his room door opening and Juno entering inside and then Storm. He smiled when he saw Juno.
"Good morning father," Juno greeted and then went to sit next to Emera. "That's Rumi, do you remember her?"
"Why won't I?" Emera said with a nod towards Rumi's direction. "Even with my eyes closed I will recognize my own daughters." he added and cleared his throat. "What about Gwen? Why is she not here?"
"She is kind of busy right now that's why she didn't follow us, but whenever she is less busy, she will come." Storm responded.
Emera smiled and nodded his head at Storm then returned his gaze back to Rumi, "So how have you been doing?"
"Fine father, how is your health?"
"I am getting better than before." Emera answered. "That reminds me, you were there when Juno died and we buried her, right?"
"Yes, and she is standing here with us, very much alive and well," Rumi said.
"Don't forget to be strong, I am now strong." Kira chips in.
"I was surprised when Storm showed me Juno. I couldn't believe my eyes," Emera said as he stared at the hand Juno had placed on his. "I also heard I have been a drunk, how come?"
"After we believed Juno died and buried her, you became a shadow of yourself and then started staying out late at night and from there started drinking. You spent every money you owed on drinks, this continued until Storm came and you ended here and now you no longer drink all thanks to Storm which I am very grateful for," Rumi said, leaving out the part of where she had been married. Maybe later in the day, she was going to visit the families she had gotten married to and wipe out their memories of her, and then slowly wipe off the memories of the other people that attended. The problem is now she is still practicing that spell and not yet being able to cast it on anyone.
"Correct me if I am mistaken," Emera said, bringing Rumi from her thoughts and back to reality. "You used to stammer, right?"
"You are right, father, she used to stammer, what happened? What cleared your stammering Rumi?" Kira asked.
"I don't know how it happened, but I woke up one morning and discovered I could talk normally without stammering. I was so happy on that day father." Rumi answers with a slight glare at Kira who pretends not to notice.
"It's rare for it to happen like that but I am happy for you," Emera said.
"After Storm brought you here, I brought your clothes," Rumi said. "Have you eaten?"
"Not yet."
"Then someone needs to tell the cook to bring something for my father," Kira said, staring pointedly at Storm. "Should I point at you before you will know I am talking to you, huh?"
Storm blinked his eyes and stared at Juno with disbelieving eyes. "Are you kidding me?" he asked with a growl.
Getting up to her feet and closing the distance between her and Storm. "Yes I am talking to you Storm. You are the one who has this palace and believe me, they will quickly do as you then me unless you want them dead," Kira said and turned around to face Rumi. "And you, since you've seen my father and have talked to him, why don't you scrambled out of here."
Rumi shook her head and said. "I don't get you Juno."
"Leave this room and palace while you still can, if not you know what I can do," Kira said with a lopsided smile.
"Juno behave yourself..." Emera began to say but Kira stopped him with one of her fingers in the air.
She returned that glare Rumi was giving her with full pride and smile when Rumi left the room, banging the door on her way out.
"Why are you mean to your sister Juno? You know I don't like such things."
"Father you won't understand and besides I don't trust her around you and stay far away from her, take my advice if you want to live long," Kira said. "I have to make sure she leaves the palace." she added and left the room.
"Let me follow her just in case." Storm voice was heard before he left the room.
Emera couldn't help but think what Juno meant. Does she know something about Rumi? And now, he remembered he didn't ask Rumi the question that has been lurking in his mind since he saw her, a question he didn't take seriously. Who's her parents?
__
"You know I am capable of dealing with anything myself so stop following me," Kira said once she noticed Storm following her. Storm didn't say anything until they got to the gate and saw Rumi in the distance. With satisfaction, Kira turned around and started walking back to the building.
"Why would Rumi do as you say without a fight?" Storm asked in bewilderment.
"None of your business." Kira answered without looking at him. "Seriously, leave me alone."
"I know why you and Kando are here."
Kira snorted at his words and began walking faster which Storm followed in the same pace.
"You don't believe me?" Storm asked and when she didn't answer him, he continued. "You and Kando are here to kill my step brothers and their mother. If he wasn't watching Juno movement and was fast enough to know when she halts in her movement he could have run into her.
She slowly turned around to look at him.
"Whoever told you that is lying."
"From the mouth of your precious Kando."
"Kando is not my precious--what?" Juno yelled out and ignored the stared that they were receiving from her outburst. "He did what?"
"He told Gwen everything and Gwen in turn told me. He even told her he could even fly."
Kira didn't want to believe Storm but when he mentioned the 'fly' part, she believed him. Why would Kando spill out their secret to Gwen when he knows she could tell Storm. Is he nuts?
"Whatever," she said, crossing her arms under her breasts, which caught Storm's attention before he quickly stared into Juno's furious eyes.
"Let me just warn you, they might hate me but we are still family and if anything or harm comes to them, believe me when I say this, I will forget that you are Juno and......destroy you." Storm warned.
Kira gave a short laugh. "If that is the case, I mean if you still think we are going to harm them then be at ease, we will be leaving Ashland tomorrow or next so your threat should be to Dean."
"You are leaving Ashland?" Storm asked in surprise.
"Yes," Kira answered. There is no need to hide it from Storm, not after Kando has spilled out everything just because of a mere kiss. "We are leaving and we are not killing anyone."
"So what about your father, are you going to take him with you?" Storm asked his heart racing in anticipation of her answers.
"No, but if he wants I will," Kira said. "Ashland is his home after all."
"And yours too."
"No, Kudarma is now my home," Kira said and then sighed out loudly. "I should be angry at you but I can't keep being angry at you. You are right," she continued. "What happened between us last night wasn't supposed to happen, it was a grave mistake and I hope you don't take it to heart. I am so sorry for kissing you."
"I will be going to the kitchen to inform the cook to bring breakfast to your father," Storm said and left without waiting to hear from her.
"And I have Kando to talk to." she mumbled to herself and left to find Kando.

Kudarma Kingdom:
Dean Palace:
Cando was seen in his room, standing beside his room window, staring at the sky and praying for night to fall quickly so that he could fly down to Ashland and bring back his brother and his master lover back to here. Flying over there right now will only bring more problems to Kando and Kira which he didn't want that's why he had chosen to fly at night, in that way his job would be much easier. His body was still healing from the impact it made with the walls and if he was like one of those guards littering around, his back bones could have broken and he wouldn't have survived such a great fall.
He has to make sure Dean didn't see him to avoid a repeat.
__
Dean entered the biggest cage he had under his palace, the cage where his two dragon's were and being fed human flesh. They were made out of his four elements.
His two dragon's woke up from their sleep and their red eyes which matched with Dean red ones stared at him. They stood up on their two hind legs and began to circle Dean.
"I know it's been a long time you've seen outside but I can assure you that very soon the both of you will be outside. I just have this feeling that war is coming. I need to see them," he said and that stopped them from moving. His dragon's both roared out and breathed fire in the same direction which created a passage. In it he saw his immortal army's statues: they were on their knees with two swords each on their hands. He nodded in satisfaction and his dragon's ceased their fire. "Thank you, you take good care of them and in turn I take good care of you." he added, petting his dragon's on their stone heads and leaving the cage.
Tomorrow, he hopes Kando and Kira return with Cando. If not, he is going to burn down Ashland with everyone living in it.

Ashland Kingdom:
Kira saw Kando walking aimlessly around and hurried up to meet him.
Kando saw Kira approaching him and smiled.
"What is chasing you?" he did get to finish his statement when Kira punched him very hard on his jaw that he tasted blood. He saw her next fist coming and blocked it with one of his hands but he didn't see her other fist which punched his stomach making him leave her hand and grasp for breath. When he saw that she was no longer making any attempt to punch him. He grunted out. "What did I do to warrant such a rare punch from you, Kira?" he asked. By now he knew they had drawn attention to them.
"Why did you tell Gwen everything?"
"Everything? What do you mean?" He hasn't told Gwen about his feelings for her yet so it wasn't everything he told her.
"Don't pretend as if you don't know what I am saying."
"I swear I don't. Could you at least why you punched me?"
"You told Gwen the reason why we are here and now she has told Storm who told me. How could you let her get to you for you to spill it out?" Juno asked in anger. "It was supposed to be a secret, something they wouldn't know at all but no, you opened your mouth and then waaaaah."
"I had to tell her and I thought as she told Storm he will have my head but I am still breathing which means she must have begged him on my behalf," Kando said with a smile. "And also when you and Rumi were exchanging words, you said something about you and Storm and last night. What happened?"
"Nothing that is your business or concern. I did not punch you for telling Gwen, I punched you because you gossip too much and you are a man. I thought it's only women who do that but I guessed wrong."
"I am sorry Kira." Kando pleaded. "I just told Gwen because I wanted her to kiss me," he added in a low whisper. "Please don't tell Dean when we return."
"Thanks for reminding me, I will tell Dean and I am going to gloat when he punishes you. I hope your darling Gwen will kiss your wounds after your punishment."
"I know you won't, Kira," Kando said.
"You just watch me," Kira said with seriousness even though she planned not to tell Dean. "Follow me, let's go and fight it out, if you win me, I won't tell but if I win just know that I will begin to open my mouth waaaaah as soon as we are near the palace." she added
"Fine," Kando said with a smirk. "Where are we going to fight?"
Kira didn't answer his question, rather she started walking away from him, leading him towards the place Morgan had taken her before to fight.

Emera House:
Rumi Room:
Rumi fumed all the way home, she entered her room and when Sarah saw her furious look, she snorted, earning a hard glare which Sarah ignored. Rumi took her pillow and started screaming into it.
"Let me guess, Storm?" Sarah guessed ten minutes later as the scream died.
"I wish, but it isn't Storm but Juno," Rumi said, removing her mouth from her pillow and keeping it on the bed. She sat on her bed and crossed her legs. "Can you imagine she asked me to leave and I did. I couldn't believe myself when my legs started moving on its own accord."
"Ah, she is the only person who is giving you a hard time, right? Why don't you kill her and be done with her once and for all." Sarah suggested. "Kill her and have peace of mind like you once did."
"I killed her once and she miraculously came back to life, I don't know if she came back to Ashland to hunt me."
"Or take Storm away from you."
"That won't happen on my watch. She threatened me, she remembered everything when I said everything, I mean every single thing that I told her before I beat her to the point of death. I could have finished her off when I had the chance to."
"You are always saying the same thing Rumi, the difference between us is much. If I were you I would have killed Juno the second day I saw her. Listen to me and listen good,as long as Juno is alive Storm won't even look at you so to get to him you have to take down Juno."
"She said she is strong now and I believed her because how would you explain how she survived?"
"And you believed her when she told you she is strong? What if she is lying and you are still stronger than her. She is only saying that to put dear in you my child, do not give her that chance."
"You are right mother, I should be thinking of how to take down Juno instead of looking for things that would make Storm fall in love with me."
"Now you are seeing my point."
"But I don't know where to start from, remember I once sent something to Juno which backfired, I am afraid to do that again."
"You don't think like me Rumi and like I said before, the difference between us is much. If I were you, my first thought would be to go to Kudarma Kingdom and find out where Juno had lived, who had saved her and why. You have to start from the top," Sarah said. "Everything started with her isn't it, so make it end with you."
"You are right, why didn't I think of this before,"
"That is why I am here to remind you."
"Thank you mother, even though I made you go through all that pain, you are still helping me."
"You are my daughter and I have forgiven you already. I cannot mislead you."
"You cannot and can never mislead me, mother."
Sarah smiled at that. "What about Emera, is he getting better?"
"Yes, he was happy when he saw me, though I don't know why he was staring strangely at me before Juno Interrupted."
I think I have an idea why he was staring at you Rumi, he has seen the resemblance between you and my friend Adaoh. Sarah thought to herself. She was the one who had told Rumi to go to the palace without her even though she was dying to see Gwen. She had wanted to be left alone to think, at least to help Rumi take her first step by killing her sister.
"U am going to visit Kudarma Kingdom but not now."
"And why is that?" Sarah asked.
"Emera is awake and I need to be by his side now as his good step daughter," Rumi said. "Besides, Storm is watching me. He might pretend but he can't fool me. His eyes are on me and not because he loves me but because he is suspecting something. He thinks I do not notice, he is monitoring me. So I can't leave Ashland right now."
"Then use your magic on him, sometimes I wonder if you are truly like me. Take the risk and go now."
"Mother, just because I allowed you to say some meaningful words doesn't give you the right to command me. I hate it. I will do it when I want to, like when I imprisoned you, you weren't expecting it, that's what I intend to do to Juno."
Being reminded of her imprisonment paled Sarah. Rumi is right, if one thing that Rumi is good at is surprising her opponent.

Kingdom of Koda in Kudarma:
King Elliot Palace:
Reca stood outside the balcony of her room and was looking at the blue sky when the mysterious man appeared beside her, his dark cloaked and hooded cowl covering every inch of him including his eyes.
Reca wasn't startled when she saw him, she glanced at him with anger in her eyes.
"What's the matter, Reca, who made you angry?"
"My husband, yesterday I went to have my bath and gave my daughter to him. Did you know that I came out from the bathroom and didn't see him in my room, then I went to his room and saw him putting his ugly di.ck in my six year old daughter's mouth," she said in disgust.
"And what did you do to him?"
"Nothing, I shouted and collected my daughter from him and he still beats me on top of that," Reca said in anger. She was grateful that she had stopped him before he could damage her daughter.
"What's your name?" he asked, turning slightly to stare at the sleeping child on her bed.
"Reca." she answered.
"Whose daughter are you?"
"Emperor Ariadne daughter."
"Then why are you letting him get the upper hand? You know what you are capable of doing so why allow him to get away with whatever he wants Reca. I would kill him if I were you."
"I would have killed him but it will raise questions and you know he is much closer to Emperor Dean and people won't expect him to just die without a reasonable explanation."
"Don't worry about what people will think. What if you weren't
there to stop him, what if he does worse tomorrow?" the mysterious man said.
"You are right my friend., I am Reca, Ariadne's daughter. He should be scared of me."
"Good one Reca, now go and show him what you can really do. Kill him, don't worry I will sort it out and no harm will come to you."
Reca nodded her head and left her room, heading for her husband's room.
King Elliot was sleeping on his bed when suddenly he felt something holding his neck, cutting off his breath. His eyes flew wide open and he saw himself dangling mid-air with Reca staring at him, her right hand stretched towards him. All the metals in the room began to rise. He tried to remove the hold on his neck but all to no avail. In fact that made Reca squeeze her fingers and he started spouting out blood from his mouth. Soon he gave up the ghost.
Reca had known she had the gift when she was a little girl but had hidden it from everyone else. She is a girl and no one would think she would have her father's gift. The only person who knew about her gift is the mysterious man who she is yet to know the man name
A sudden movement from her right side made her turn only to see the mysterious man way too close to her and before she could open her mouth to ask him the reason why he was close to her.
He placed one of his fingers on her forehead and then she started feeling cold.
"What's happening?" she asked, her lips turning blue.
"I am draining your power away and your life. I told you I will sort it out," the mysterious man said. "You will get to unite with your husband soon."
Why?" she managed to choke out.
"Let's just say I hate anything that comes from Ariadne," the mysterious man said. "Do you want to know why, because...." he leaned forward and whispered the remaining words in Reca's ears and then removed his finger from her forehead. Reca fell down and started shivering and soon ice began to sprout out from her body. "This is the end of the road for you, Reca but I am going to give you a gift like you have given me." He removed his hooded cowl which revealed his identity and Reca eyes widened before she breathed her last. Soon her body returned to normal and with Elliot's sword, he used it to stab Reca on her stomach and then use the same sword to stab Elliot he made sure Elliot's hands were holding his sword. In that way the news will be carried that Elliot had killed his wife before he killed himself.
He disappeared and reappeared in Reca's room and picked up the sleeping child from the bed and with a lopsided smile, he said.
"You will be my backup plan."
