❤️ My Hostage (Part 27) ❤️
Kudarma Kingdom: (Dean Palace):
Kando went still as he watched Gwen opening her eyes, seeing him and stare at him with a confused look.
Gwen sat upright and the first thing she noticed was that the bed she was on was different and that prompted her to take her eyes off Kando and look around the room slowly and saw that indeed not only was she in a different bed but in a different room.
"Where am I Kando?" she asked immediately.
"You don't remember?" Kando asked with raised brows.
Suddenly she remembered and closed her eyes, when she opened it, she was glaring at him.
"Who was he? He looked similar to you and he kidnapped me here. If you are here then you must know my kidnapper," Gwen said with a grimace on her face. "I remember we were flying and just like you he has wings, who is he?"
"He is my younger brother Gwen and I am sorry he dragged you here. You must know that I didn't plan with him to bring you here," Kando said as Gwen snorted loudly. "I'm serious, I am angry at him for doing this behind my back."
"Then take me back home, don't worry about Storm, I will make sure he doesn't kill you." Gwen said.
"I can't take you back right now Gwen, my master has seen you and now he has held you hostage to get back Kira." Kando explained hating himself for saying the words out. He hopes Gwen forgives him.
"So I am in Kudarma and not in Ashland as we speak?" Gwen asked and Kando nodded his head to confirm her question. "And Kira is in Ashland, also an hostage to Storm, right?"
"Probably yes, I wasn't too quick to grab her so I missed her." Kando responded. "Why did you went to meet my brother? I thought you were with Morgan and wouldn't come out until we were gone?" he asked the question that has been bugging him. "You know if you had stayed inside with your lover all these wouldn't have happened. My brother wouldn't have taken you and you wouldn't be right here in my room. I and Kira would have arrived without but you came out and ruined it. I don't know what Storm might be doing to Kira right now, he was angry when I looked at him, very angry."
The words that wanted to roll out of Gwen's mouth got stuck when she heard those words from Kando. Her heart sank a bit and she bit her lips.
"I am sorry for ruining it for you and Kira. I shouldn't have come out to talk to you," Gwen said. "I am sorry " she apologized again.
"Stop apologizing Gwen, it's not your fault, okay," Kando said immediately regretting pinning the blame on Gwen. "Why were you looking for me?" he asked.
"Forget it," Gwen said. It was a very huge mistake on her part to come out and look for him in the first place, if she had stayed put in Morgan's room, she wouldn't be having this uncomfortable discussion with him. "So when do I go back home or do you plan to hold me as a hostage forever?" she asked.
Forever, yes but not as a hostage. Kando thought to himself but then smiled a bit at her. "I don't know Gwen, it is left to my master to decide when to exchange you with his bride."
Gwen felt hurt somehow, this is the fourth time he was calling her by her name and not 'Beautiful' like he normally did back then in Ashland. Does it mean what he had told her was all a lie? Does it mean he never had any feelings for her or last night when he confessed his feelings to her he was just pulling her legs.
"Are you hungry......," Kando paused, hoping his next words won't anger her. He doesn't even know if she was angry at him or not. "Are you hungry, Beautiful?"
Gwen stared at him with her eyes wide open. Did he read her mind? How did he know what she was thinking?
"No, it's still early Kando." Gwen answered, trying not to blush. "So will I be given the freedom to move around or will I be stuck in this room?" she asked.
"My room." Kando quickly corrected. "Well I am going to ask my master if he can permit you to do that." he added and without waiting for her response, he left his room feeling grateful that Gwen wasn't angry at him and wondered why.

Ashland Kingdom: (Palace)
Emera and the healer swiftly got down from the horse and Emera nearly ran, he ran to Storm room and what he saw made his eyes wet. He couldn't believe his eyes and the healer couldn't either. The healer turns around when Emera begins to undress Juno and covers the most important part of her body. He saw the half pendant on Kira's neck and took it, and when he removed her boots, he saw the remaining one, hiding it quickly inside his linen shirt, the healer might recognize it and he doesn't want him to. Immediately, the healer went down to work and started cleaning up blood on Kira's body. Some servant entered the room and told the healer and Emera why they were there and Emera having no other option had to carry Kira in his arms as the healer continue to minister some herbs on the open skin of Kira while the servant quickly clean up the room and change the sheets on the bed. Once they were done, they left the room and Emera drop Kira gently on the bed.
"What actually happened? Why did Storm hit her badly?" the healer asked and Emera quickly filled him in. "I am so sorry but your daughter shouldn't have done that, why will she plan to take Gwen with her?"
"She didn't, it's a small misunderstanding which Storm is taking seriously. Juno won't do such a thing, I know her. She can't plan with Kando and someone else to take Gwen away and besides, Juno can't hurt Gwen."
"You are the only one who believes in Juno and I do too, but see others will reason the way I am reasoning."
"Yes, but I believe my daughter."
The healer nodded his head. "Make sure she gets a lot of rest and please beg Storm not to hurt her again. I would have told him if he was here and since I don't live in the palace it will be your job to do so. Your daughter will be fine."
"I will, thank you. You have always been helpful my dear friend."
The healer could only nod his head and pack his things and then left the room and palace to his place.
Emera sat down next to Kira and hold one of her hands in his, gently rubbing it, "The weight of the secrets that I am keeping is weighing me down Juno, I don't know where to start from, hopefully when you are awake I will tell you everything, please do not hate him." he told her before he left the room to look for Storm.

Rumi was seen entering the palace and was surprised at the calmness of the palace. She saw the healer leaving and greeted him. She also saw Empress Rose who was entering the Royal carriage and her son, Fred, standing beside her with some guards who were on horseback.
She knew immediately something was off somewhere, first was the healer and now Empress Rose was going somewhere, she looked worried. Rumi went to meet Fred. Empress Rose carriage drove past her with her guards.
"Where are they going, my Prince? Your mother looks worried, hope there is no problem?" Rumi asked, pretending to be concerned.
"We heard the news of my sister's death and she is going to Koda kingdom to see for herself." Fred replied to her.
"Reca is dead? How?" Rumi asked in surprise, not hiding the surprise in her voice.
"She is dead and according to what we were told, she and her husband fought and killed themselves, but how is that possible? How could they kill themselves and die at the same time also their daughter is missing. I hope my mother comes back with answers."
"I am so sorry for your loss, my Prince."
"Thank you," Fred said. "So what are you doing here not that you are not welcomed any day to the Palace?"
"Oh I came to see Storm, where is he?"
"He is busy punishing Juno." Fred answered, no one in the palace wouldn't say they didn't hear the scream of Juno.
"Punishing her? What do you mean?" Rumi asked with knee interest.
"Juno planned with that guy she came with, Kando, to kidnap Gwen which he did but he couldn't save Juno and now Storm is mad and angry at her for taking Gwen away. He has been beating her and I felt pity for Juno. She has been screaming since," Fred said and then cleared his throat.
"And where is he? Is he in his room?" Rumi asked as she tried not to smile or show how happy she was with the news.
"I don't know, I saw him storm out of his room in anger, he could be somewhere in the palace," Fred said. "I shouldn't be thinking about her but my sister's death, I will see you around Rumi." he added and left her.
Wow, this wasn't happening. She couldn't believe her ears, Storm had beaten Juno and she wasn't around. she could have loved to hear her scream. Rumi thought as she began to look for Storm around.
Finally she saw him, staring at the wall in front of him, his fist clenching tightly, obviously he was at the west side of the Palace.
"What are you doing here?" Storm asked in anger without turning to face her.
Rumi was shocked, she thought she would have to sneak up to him without him knowing. "I came here to see you."
"To see me?" Storm said coldly and turned to glare at her. "What will your 'See me' bring? If you know what's good for you Rumi, you get out of my sight before I kill you."
"Just like the way you could have killed Juno and let me tell you I am not Juno and if I were you I would have killed her. She keeps meddling in your life and destroying things for you," Rumi said. She keeps destroying things for me actually. She thought to herself.
"I don't want to repeat myself again, get out of my sight and never, I repeat myself again, never let me see you here again," Storm said and closed the distance between them quickly, and leaned forward to her face as if he wanted to kiss her. "And I mean this when I say I don't have any single atom feelings for you Rumi so whatever you think you are doing or you want to achieve won't work." he straightened up. "Now, leave my presence." he added and returned where he was standing before and began to stare at the wall once again, in anger.
Rumi grew angry at Storm and left him and instead of leaving the palace, she headed for Storm room and when she saw Emera coming her way, she hid her anger and managed to smile.
"Rumi, what are you doing here?"
"Nothing father, I decided to come and check on you and I heard what happened both to Reca and Juno," Rumi said as tears began to form in her eyes. "Reca was a nice girl and she doesn't deserve to die and Juno, why is Storm so heartless to her? He ought to have known her by now, I trust my sister and I believe her." she added, by now tears were flowing freely from her cheeks like a river.
Pulling her to his body for a fatherly hug before releasing his hold. "Don't worry, everything will be okay. I need to talk to Storm."
"I just left him, he's at the west side of the palace," Rumi said to him, pointing at the direction Storm was in. "But how is Juno? Is she okay?"
"She is fine and she is resting."
"Can I see her?" Rumi said her voice breaking at that point.
"Yes you can," Emera said and left towards the place Rumi had pointed.
Rumi entered the room, closing the door behind her and smiled widely when she saw the state Juno is in and the amount of bandages around her. Moving closer to Juno, still smiling like a lunatic.
"No one wants you here Juno, just die already. You don't know how glad I am to see you in this condition and knowing fully well that Storm is the cause makes me swell in pride for him. He should have killed you, I don't know why he didn't though but I can assure you maybe the next time he lay his hands on you may be your final day. You should have died years ago when I had killed you or better still stay where you were before but no you decided to come back and here is the result. He doesn't want you or even love you, if he did, he wouldn't have hurt you in the first place no matter how angry he is. To him, you are just another Rumi."
