“What are you planning to do?” Vivian blinked. She had to prepare herself to escape if she had to. She could hide in the bathroom if he lost his cool again.
“Oh, nothing much. Exactly what I just said,” Zander smiled.
Vivian sighed in relief when she noticed that he was calm. It must have been just her imagination. She wouldn’t mind a few kiss marks here and there to serve as proof of his cohorts. So he didn’t need to scare her by looking like the devil. She thought he would eat her alive.
“Jerk! Stop scaring me like that.”
“Call me that one more time and you’ll be naked on that bed,” Zander pointed at her queen size bed and she instantly shut her mouth. He looked serious. No one must have ever called him a jerk before.
‘It was his fault for scaring me in the first place,’ Vivian thought but didn’t dare say it out loud.
She shivered and bit her lips as he kissed, licked, and bit at both her arms, trailing kisses and bite marks. It felt weird and good at the same time. She wished it would be over soon.
“Why do you even need to leave that many marks on my arms? Isn’t that enough already,” she grumbled.
It was . . . how should she describe it? Weird? Uncomfortable? No. She was not used to it. She was not used to him or his kisses or his touch.
He was still a stranger to her. They barely knew each other even if they were husband and wife.
It was fine the day after their wedding night since they slept in the same bed and she woke up already aroused due to what he had done to her body.
Now that they haven’t seen each other for so long, he felt like a stranger despite how he maintained communication. Speaking with him casually was fine since he almost always called her. But his touch and kisses were another matter.
“Any husband would be crazed if they discover their wife cheating. And so shamelessly might I add. Sending kisses right in front of me and my cohorts? Just how infuriating is that? I am just marking you mine and they need to see it or they’ll think I was just letting your actions go.”
“As I said, I wasn’t cheating.”
“Sure,” he said but sank his teeth into her skin to leave a bite mark.
‘Ah, it’s a matter of pride,’ Vivian slowly nodded.
‘I thought so. I really did hurt his ego. And now he was purposely getting back at me by making me uncomfortable. Damn him.’ She kept cursing him in her mind as he left more marks.
As if reading her mind he mischievously smiled at her and held her shoulders.
She was wide-eyed as he tilted her chin and leaned in as if he was going to kiss her again. She glared at him. The mischievous gleam of his eyes looked like trouble. She’d rather prevent it.
“Just stay still,” he said and dipped his head at the crook of her neck and kissed her there. She shivered. It felt good.
“What are you doing?!”
“I said stay still. I’m also leaving kiss marks here.”
“You don’t have to. I’ll just wear a turtleneck or a scarf and pretend that there are marks.”
“They need to see it,” he replied and attacked her neck with kisses.
She bit her lip at the sensation of someone lazily kissing and licking her neck. She swallowed the whimpers that nearly escaped her lips as he sucked and licked at every inch of exposed skin above her chest.
‘He’s doing this on purpose!’
Zander let go of her shoulders and she almost sighed in relief but she gasped instead when she felt him cup both of her breasts. She tried pushing him but he caught her hands.
“I also need to know what my wife’s breasts felt like,” he murmured against her skin and continued kissing her neck.
“Mm. Your chest seems to have grown bigger. Did your other lover pay so much attention to it?”
“I have no other lover.”
“Really?” his teeth sank on her shoulder. She muffled a moan. She didn’t understand why it felt good.
Zander kissed and suckled at the spot he just bit. Vivian wondered if almost dying made him realize he didn’t want to die without touching his beautiful wife. She knew she had the looks and the body and he had also said that it was one of the reasons why he chose her.
“Stop pushing me away. It’s irritating,” he eyed her so seriously that she flinched. There was a glint of anger in his eyes. He seemed to have really hated it.
‘Is he telling me to let him do as he pleases? Well, he is my husband, after all.’
Zander grabbed at her breasts tighter this time, perhaps because she quit stopping him.
His lips ventured lower to the top of her cleavage and she felt his hot breath as he licked and sucked at her skin.
With his face buried in her cleavage, his hands left her breasts and went to her buttocks. He caressed and grabbed as he pleased.
‘He is going overboard. He said he would just leave marks.’
Only the thought that he was her husband stopped her from hitting his head so he would stop. He was starting to make her feel weird.
Vivian’s eyes widened when Zander suddenly carried her to his lap. She shivered when she felt the heat of his body enveloped her as he wrapped her in his arms. His breath was warm against her skin. His breathing was becoming uneven as he slowly trailed kisses up to her lips.
Zander was gentle at first, like he was testing if she would welcome him now. But then he licked between her lips repeatedly as if getting impatient. And she had no choice but to open her mouth, else he might get irritated again.
His tongue dove in and touched the tip of hers, gently rubbing and going for several strokes. Until he decided he wanted a real taste of her mouth and explored her again.
Zander’s kiss this time was different. It was eager and desperate and it sent shivers down her spine. She felt like there were butterflies in her stomach.
His left hand made its way to the back of her head as he became demanding. He was coaxing her to respond. His arms tightened around her and she couldn’t break free.
Vivian’s heart drummed in her chest. She was getting excited and nervous at the same time. Her arms were trapped by his embrace and she couldn’t move. He had been kissing her for a while now. It felt great. But she was distracted knowing that his cohorts were waiting for him.
He finally let her have a break when she was breathless. But his lips quickly went to her neck.
She tried pushing him away and tapping his chest and shoulders lightly to stop him before it was too late.
“I said stop pushing me away,” he growled, irritated.
“I’m you husband,” he emphasized with an all too serious look in his eyes before he dipped his head and bit at her shoulder.
A moan escaped her mouth and he lavished the crook of her neck.
Vivian gulped. The next time she pushed him away, she had a feeling he would rip her dress. She tried talking this time.
“Aren’t your cohorts waiting for you?”
But Zander didn’t seem to hear her at all. He was focused on what he was doing. One arm cupped her chest while another was on her behind. And his mouth found hers again.
Vivian moaned at the intensity and he swallowed it. He was so eager and kept coaxing her to respond.
Zander held her tighter and the heat of his body scorched her. His breathing was ragged and his heart was beating wildly. And she felt something hard and hot poking at her legs.
Vivian blushed, knowing what it was. She really needed to stop him or he’ll devour her now. She inhaled deeply and gathered her strength.
“Dear husband, stop getting carried away. There are still a lot of matters we needed to discuss,” she said to no avail. He didn’t hear her no matter what she said. He just kept on groping her and kissing her neck.
“I want a divorce,” Vivian said as she gently pushed him off.
“What?!” Zander stopped instantly and stared at her in disbelief, not understanding what she meant.
He seemed bewildered at her sudden declaration and he looked like he was trying to recover the pieces of why she would say that. He seemed to realize that it was because he was touching her.
“Weren’t you enjoying yourself just now,” he even dared to ask.
“Enjoy myself your ass! We’re divorcing right now. It won’t matter now since you have inherited what you needed to inherit right?”
“Hey, I’m sorry. Don’t say things like that. I was . . . I was just getting back at you for a while ago,” Zander reasoned, suddenly acting like an obedient puppy.
“Heh, really?” Vivian looked down to indicate she knew he lost control and she could feel his boner.
“My wife is appetizing. What do you say let’s continue this in bed?” Her husband grinned at her not at all embarrassed that his boner was still poking her.
“We’re divorcing,” Vivian said again to stop his mind from going awry.
“Come on. Isn’t it good to be desired by your husband?” Zander whispered huskily in her ear.
Vivian pushed him away and got off his lap before she melted in his scorching heat and alluring voice.
“If this was a normal marriage it would. But we aren’t a normal husband and wife.”
“Stingy,” Zander sighed in obvious disappointment.
“Do something about that yourself,” she pointed at his erection.
“You are a mean wife,” he complained.
“I am not. If you don’t calm yourself right now I don’t mind a divorce, after all.”
“Stop saying that. I don’t like it,” he glared at her with a very displeased look.
“Are you finally calm now? I was just saying it to wake you up.”
“Don’t ever say it again,” Zander said all too seriously that Vivian froze.
