Epilogue
THE DAY after their wedding, both Angelo and Charles flew to America. They have already talked about this matter before they got married, and finally, they can do it without any other problems.
Charles was even more in a hurry when he told him that the house he had bought from a real estate agent he knew was finished. The house had three bedrooms, one for the masters, the other was a guest room, and the final room was for their daughter.
“The documents are all set according to Light,” Charles, who was busy driving, informed him.
Angelo smiled as he stared at their wedding ring. “After marriage, now we'll finally be a complete family.” He looked at his husband. “It’s raining blessings, don't you think?”
Charles glanced at him before he focused on the road. “I’m happy that you're happy.”
“Te amo, mi Nick."
“I love you too, my Gab.”
In a few moments, they arrived at the adoption center. They entered the facility together and a little girl came running in their direction and immediately hugged his husband.
Charles immediately knelt down to match the girl. “Hey, Luna Astria. Are you excited? ”
The girl nodded happily before looking at him.
Charles also turned to him before talking to Luna again. "He will be your papa, Luna, and I will be your dad."
Angelo thought that the kid would be weirded out with that idea but she just smiled at him. Luna even waved her hand at him.
Angelo also matched the child. He caressed her hair and smiled. “Hey, Luna. Want to see our new home?” The child nodded happily. He offered his hand. “Let’s go?”
Without a hint of doubt, Luna held his hand. Angelo stood up and guided their daughter towards their car. Charles, on the other hand, was left for a while to pick up Luna's other belongings and toys, and finally said goodbye to the people who took care of the little girl.
Luna was sitting in the backseat and he was in the passenger seat so he turned his body a bit to see if the child was comfortable. "Do you know my name?" The smiling girl nodded. "Will you say it for me?"
“P-Papa Gab.” Luna has a very sweet and soft voice that made him smile with unshed tears.
"That's right, sweetheart." Charles got into the car just in time so he immediately pointed him out. “How about him, Luna? What’s his name?”
Charles looked at him before he turned his head to wait for Luna’s answer. “D-Daddy Nick.”
Charles' eyes immediately widened then he looked at him. "D-Did she just talks?" Angelo happily nodded. Charles looked at their daughter again. “W-What’s your name, my little princess?”
Luna smiled wider. “M-My name is L-Luna Astria V-Vazquez-Williams.”
Charles also couldn't stop himself from crying because of what he saw and heard. Finally, after a year, Luna was able to talk to them and they felt like the happiest parents in the world.
They talked to her a few more times before they remembered that Charles was going to drive home. They really looked like a happy, complete family that Angelo wished he would have in the future.
All of his dreams came true because of the man in the driver's seat. A lot happened to them before they achieved the happiness they have now, but no matter what happens, as long as they continue to love each other, they will be able to withstand all the trials that the world will throw at them. Especially now that they have a child, they will further strengthen their relationship.
Charles glanced at him when he noticed that he was staring at him. “Yes, Gab?”
He shook his head before talking, “Te amo, mi Nick.”
His husband smiled. “I love you too, my Gab.”
The little girl on the backseat suddenly spoke. “I-I love you, my Papa and my Daddy.”
Charles looked at the mirror while Angelo turned his body a little to see his little girl. “We love you too, our little princess,” they replied together.
THREE MONTHS after officially adopting Luna, the married couple finally spent their honeymoon together with their daughter. They traveled around the world and became the family that they all wished for.
Luna was a very bright kid and attended elementary after taking a test. They resided in New Jersey, a bit farther from Charles’ old residence. They’re both thankful that Angelo works at home, so they don’t have to worry about taking care of their daughter.
“Daddy! Daddy!” Luna greeted him immediately. He let go of the bag that he was holding, and carried his daughter. “Daddy! I received a star, see?” Luna showed her branded hand.
Charles smiled at his little girl. “Wow! Isn’t my daughter smart? To whom did you inherit, little princess?”
"Of course to Papa." Luna grinned at him.
He turned his smile upside down. “So, you love your Papa more than Daddy now? I thought you’re Daddy’s girl.”
Luna softly pinched his cheek. “My daddy became a drama king. Of course, I love you both equally.” She kissed both of his cheeks before she asked him to put her down. “Papa is cooking our dinner, Daddy. Let’s go na po.” His daughter dragged him to the kitchen.
Once they reached the kitchen, he signaled his daughter to stay quiet. And because their daughter had also become naughty, she joined him on his plan. They quietly walked towards Angelo who was busy cooking and surprised him.
"Both of you are always full of tricks, hmm?" he pretended to scold them. They both just laughed. “Anyway, the dinner is already done. Adjust the table setting.”
Their son saluted. "Yes, Papa!"
He also imitated her. "Yes, Papa!" Before they laughed and arranged their meal at the same time.
When they were all finished they ate dinner together. “How’s work?” Angelo asked him.
Charles smiled a little. “Stressful as usual. How’s yours?”
“It was just before Luna came home. By the way, about her birthday.”
“Hmm? Is it planned? ”
Angelo nodded. “They’ll come together with their families. Though Narae may be a little late.”
Charles looked at their daughter. “You’ll meet your uncles and aunts together with their kids on your birthday, Luna. Are you excited?”
The girl nodded with a big smile. "I'll do my best for them to like me, Daddy."
Angelo caressed their daughter’s hair. “Just be yourself and they’ll love you like we do, sweetheart.”
"What do you want for your birthday, my little princess?" Charles suddenly asked.
Luna acted like she was thinking deeply, then she smiled at him. "Daddy, I want nothing."
Both of them looked puzzled. “A gift, sweetheart. Don’t you want a gift?” Luna shook her head. "Are you sure?" Angelo asked again. Their daughter nodded.
“Okay… so umm… how’s school, Luna?” Charles's variation of the topic.
"A classmate gave me chocolate during recess."
Charles immediately raised an eyebrow. "And did this classmate of yours say something?"
Luna nodded. “He said that I’m cute, Daddy.”
His husband laughed softly when he saw Charles' reaction. "And what did you say, sweetheart?"
"I said thank you, Papa," their daughter replied innocently.
“What’s his name? Where does he live? Should I assassinate him?” Charles asked, which Angelo laughed out loud. He glared at his husband. “What are you laughing at, Gab? This is serious talk.”
His husband laughed again. “You're overreacting. Luna was just told that she was beautiful. And Nick, may I remind you that they’re just five years old.”
Charles remained furious and his daughter saw caressing his hand as if she was calming him down. “Don’t worry, Daddy. I don’t have a crush.”
He slowly calmed down. “That’s right, my little princess. Focus on your studies first, okay?”
"Yes, daddy," the little girl replied with a smile before continuing to eat.
Charles looked at his husband again and then smiled and shook his head. He mouthed, “What?”
Angelo shook his head but also mouthed the words, “Te amo, mi Nick.”
All of his negative emotions were washed away by those simple words. Charles couldn’t help but smile as he mouthed, “I love you too, my Gab.”
