You can’t escape it
Vincenzo’s heart pounded against his chest after hearing Roberto’s order.
Does he still want to sleep with her? Or is he just worried?
“Yes, boss.”
Vincenzo answered in an undertone. He walked briskly away from Roberto’s door and back to the room Martina and her sister were in.
He flung the door open and walked into the room.
“I think you’re finished.”
Martina looked at Vincenzo in terror, she was startled by his entry.
“What do you mean we’re finished?”
“We are not finished, you’re finished.”
“What is going on? Why are you saying these?”
“He asked me to get you two a doctor. I don’t know why he asked me to get one, maybe he is concerned, or he still wants to sleep with you, I don’t know.”
Martina began to fidget, she didn’t know what to do anymore.
“What are we going to do now? The doctor would tell him I’m doing alright.”
“I don’t know! Let me think!” Vincenzo smacked.
Martina looked at Caterina who was lying weak on the bed.
“The Doctor would know she has a fever, but what about me?”
“Just Pretend okay? I’ll get the doctor now. Lay next to her and act sick too, I would try talking to the doctor. But if this goes south, you are on your own.”
Vincenzo walked out of the room and shut the door behind him. As soon as he was away, Martina hurried into the bathroom.
She stood under the shower and turned it on. She let the water wet her for a few minutes and walked into the bedroom again.
She laid down on the floor, next to the bed and shut her eyes. She sensed Roberto was going to come in at any time.

Roberto still laid on his bed, he waited for Vincenzo and the doctor to bring him feedback. He was feeling so tired, but he couldn’t sleep.
He stood up from the bed and walked out of his room. His guards were on alert when he walked out of the room.
He began to walk down the passage and when his guards wanted to follow him, he raised his hands and stopped them.
He walked to the second floor and entered the fifth room. He opened the door and stood at the door looking inside.
He saw Martina lying on the floor and Caterina on the bed, they both looked dead to him.
“Why are they unconscious at the same time?”
He walked to where Martina was and stared at her face. She looked calmer than he had ever seen her be.
He turned his gaze at Caterina and he could see something was wrong, her face looked pale. He moved closer to where she was laid and placed his palm on her forehead.
She was heating up.
Roberto moved back with no expression on his face. He sighted the chair that was in the room and he sat on it.
He pulled out the tobacco stick and lighter in the pocket of his night robe and lighted it. He kept his eyes on the sisters as he smoked.
Martina heard footsteps approach the room and she kept still. She wasn’t sure who it was, but she was sure of one thing if it was Vincenzo, he would have said something.
Martina heard the clinking sound of the lighter and she knew she guessed right.
It was Roberto.
Her heart raced where she laid. She opened her eyes slightly and looked around the room, her eyes caught with his face and she quickly shut her eyes.
She prayed inwardly that he didn’t see her open her eyes, she had no idea that he was looking at her.
After some minutes, Martina heard more footsteps from afar, and they began to draw closer every passing second.
Vincenzo is back.
“Please don’t start talking before you enter the room… Please, he is in here.” Martina prayed. She knew Vincenzo to be talkative.
“So…” Vincenzo opened the door and immediately he saw Roberto seated, he swallowed the rest of his statement.
“Boss, you are here.”
He let out a feeble smile as he stared at him. Roberto stared back with his tobacco between his fingers.
“Be quick.”
The doctor hurried to Caterina first, he wanted to start with her.
“No… Start with the one on the floor. Let me know what is wrong with her.”
Vincenzo clenched his jaws as the doctor looked at him.
“C’mon! Get to work.” Vincenzo uttered even though he was scared.
The doctor knelt next to Martina and removed the stethoscope from his neck. He put the earpieces in his ears and placed the Tunable diaphragm on her chest.
He listened to her heartbeat and he heard them beat normal. The doctor rolled up his eyes and looked at Vincenzo, his back was turned to Roberto.
“What is it with her?” Roberto became impatient.
“She… I think she is stressed out. Her heartbeat is weak, she needs to rest.”
Vincenzo nodded in support of what the doctor had said and Roberto shot him a grave look making him stop.
“Has she eaten today?” The doctor inquired.
“She ate once, a few donuts,” Vincenzo responded.
“You should get her something to eat. She is too weak.” The doctor told and Vincenzo looked at Roberto. He needed an order from him.
“Get her something to eat,” Roberto commanded and Vincenzo bobbed he turned his back to leave the room when he heard Roberto speak up again.
“She should be better tomorrow right?”
The doctor looked at Roberto and gave him a reluctant nod.
“Good. I need her tomorrow, make sure she is better.”
He stood up from where he sat and walked to the door. Vincenzo made way for him to walk out, his head was bowed.
“You can’t escape it, Martina, you are letting him have it no matter what.” Martina opened her eyes and looked at Vincenzo after making that statement. Tears heated her eyes and they began to roll out.
The doctor moved closer to Caterina and began to check her heartbeat rate too.
“He should kill me instead.” Martina cried.
