Chapter 62
Chapter 62
Seeing that she wasn’t moving from her spot, I got up and strolled towards her. Sleep abandoned me as soon as I saw her.
I stopped a foot away from her. I reached for her face and paused midway when she looked away, evading my touch. I was caught by surprise but I didn’t think deeply of it. I knew she had a long night. I didn’t want to be naggy about it. Being with her is all that I need.
“I’ll prepare a bath for you.”
Cara stripped her clothes as soon as the water was warm, filled with her favorite scent. I longed to join her in the bathtub. By the cold look on her face, she wasn’t in the mood. She didn’t even care to wipe the blood off her face. She just sat there submerged in the water.
Ignoring my overthinking, I stripped off my clothes and braved myself to join her. As soon as I settled myself behind her, I washed off the stain from her face and body. All the while, she was still and I wondered what’s on her mind why she was acting like this. I hoped it wasn’t because of me because if it was, she would’ve kicked me out of here.
Once I was done, I kissed her neck and wrapped my arms around her waist. I placed my chin on top of her shoulder and snuggled closer to her. I smiled when I felt her relax finally into my touch.
“Dylan…” My ears perked at her voice. “You know I can’t give everything up for you.” I stiffened, my hold on her slowly loosening. “Tonight I realized that I could never be someone who’d give everything up for the person they love. You’ve done so much for me. You were ready to leave everything behind… just to stay by my side and that without knowing I could reciprocate your feelings.”
“I thought we'd already talked about this.” I said gloomily.
“I couldn’t think of one thing I would give up for you.”
I watched her shoulders and back with a hint of longing and curiosity– curious on where this conversation was going. Her words sounded like she’s going to push me away again but I have a feeling she won’t do that this time.
She sighs. “It isn’t fair, you know.”
“Cara…”
She didn’t let me continue. She turned and looked at me through her hooded eyes. “I didn't want you to see me like this. I was trying to avoid letting you see the blood that wasn’t mine.”
I give her a small amused smile. “Since when do you care about that, baby. It wasn’t long when you were proud to wear that color in front of me. You used to scare me with that.”
She tilts her head to the side while looking at me thoughtfully. “I wanted to change that for you. That was the least I could do.”
I reached for her face and stroked her cheek with my thumb. “You don’t have to change anything, Cara. You don’t need to give up anything for me either. I’m already so happy that I could be here with you. You don’t know the extent of my happiness and if you knew, you’d be so overwhelmed.”
She looks down at my chest. The curl of her eyelashes are so beautiful and seductive. I then feel her hand stroking my chest with her slender fingers, especially the part where she marked a crescent moon. “I’m not sorry for this.”
I chuckle. “I’m sure you’re not.”
Her eyes went back straight to mine, looking at me sharply and steadily. “Because you are mine.”
Not a word came out from my mouth when she grabbed my jaw with her hand and slammed her lips to mine. Our lips danced in a hot searing kiss. My hands moved on their own, greedily owning every inch of her body, her waist and her full breasts that couldn’t even fit in my big hands. My aching erection began to rub her back, seeking her attention.
She pulled away from the kiss and pressed her back against my chest. Her head leaned back to me, offering her neck. I hungrily kissed, licked and sucked it like my life depended on it. My hands kept massaging her breasts and squeezing it so hard. I heard her gasp and moan from the pain and pleasure, only pressing her body to mine even closer.
I then felt her move, her body rising a bit to accommodate my erection to her wetness. My hands slid automatically to her waist and guided her down. We both groaned when my length finally went past her entrance, sinking down until I met her cervix. She moved up and down at a slow pace. I felt her shudder, losing her strength because of the overwhelming pleasure.
I held her tight before turning her head to me for a long sweet kiss. It turned heated and intense as I grabbed her thighs and spread it widely, each leg resting on the edge of the tub. I started plunging in and out. The water splashed and spilled on the tiled floor.
I was surprised that my eardrums didn’t hurt from all her screaming, her lips were against my ears. I was trying hard to control my orgasm. It was still too early to come. I bit her shoulder with the hopes of gaining control but turns out, it was only a bad move. It made her clamped my cock in a vice grip and soon she cummed right after. I naturally followed. Her wall clenched with an intention of sucking me dry.
“I love you.” I groaned against her shoulder, followed by wet kisses on her neck.
“Hmmn too.” She was gasping for air.
I chuckled, knowing she could hardly speak. “We should probably…” I was catching for air myself.
“Hmmm… a sec…”

“How did you two know that I have a chance?”
My mom, Leandro and I have a video chat as I am cooking for breakfast. I laid my phone against a mug so I didn't have to hold it while I was working. I told them what transpired since the first day I set foot in Cara’s home. I owe it to them. They were the ones to push me to come this far. I’m eternally grateful to mom since she let me come here knowing there’s a chance that I would never meet them again in person considering my life is in the mafia now. And Leandro for watching over them and protecting them while I’m no longer able to.
“You’re the only one who seems to not know that, hon. Even your grandma knows that you two belong together. Even Damian and Ollie do.” Leandro laughed at my mom’s statement.
“You just needed a strong push.” Leandro added. “And also your mom was getting sick and tired watching you sulking in your room all day every day.” Mom instantly sent him a glare. His smile suddenly turned to a forced one, knowing he just put himself in danger with mom’s wrath.
“I wasn’t sulking.” I denied with a frown and a pout from my lips.
Mom turned her glare at me. “You are. You made me worry for you, son.”
My frown deepened. “I’m sorry for troubling you both.”
Her lips broke into a smile. “Shush, happiness requires an amount of struggles and hardships before deserving it. Look at you now. You are with the woman you love so much and we’re so happy for you, honey.” Leandro agreed with her with a smile.
I suppressed a huge grin from coming out of my mouth as I nodded with them in agreement. “I am. And I realized… that we’re actually both just insecure and thought we don’t deserve each other. If I haven’t listened to you and gave this a chance… “
“I knew my boss was just protecting you. I have served the family for more than half of my life, Dylan. They are good people. They always put their people first above their own. That’s why they’re different and that’s why they are respected. With your circumstances though, I don’t know how the hell you made her like you, what’s more fall for you, knowing you just committed a crime against her. As I’m sure you know, she’s not quite forgiving.” Leandro chuckled at the last part. His joke that still was the truth made me blush. I rubbed the nape of my neck in embarrassment.
“Yeah…” I replied shyly. I knew the answer to that but that was something I don’t want to talk about. It was only for Cara and I.
“I’d say he’s a good fuck.”
I jumped, startled at Cara’s sudden presence. I didn’t notice she’s already here.
“Oh my!” Mom reacted with wide eyes and mouth. I’m sure she’s shocked at her crude statement. Leandro suppressed his laugh and I knew he was inwardly laughing at me because of my reaction.
“G-good morning.” I greeted her, still feeling embarrassed at her last comment. Cara stands next to me and looks down at my phone.
“Ciao, Leandro. You seem overwhelmingly happy.” I swear I saw him blush despite the inaccurate color of the video. “Hello, Violet.” I stole a glance at Cara and was surprised to see that she had the softest smile that I’ve ever seen since I met her. I was stunned for a moment, in disbelief.
“Cara.” Mom said chirpily. “It’s good to see you again. Thank you for tolerating my son.” I frowned at what she said.
“What does that mean?” I asked, almost annoyed. I swear it had meaning.
Cara smirked and replied for her stead as she turned to me. “It means I’m hungry and where’s my breakfast?”
I grumbled before leaving them to prepare for her breakfast. They were talking in merriment and I found myself in a good mood knowing they get along so well. Even back then, when mom hadn’t still known the truth, Cara was good to them. It took a while for me to realize that Cara has a soft spot for families, especially ones who support and love each other.
“What are you thinking?” I felt her arms wrapped around me from behind. I stopped collecting the dishes and turned to her. I leaned my back against the kitchen island while she pressed herself to my front.
“How lovely you are.” I said with hooded eyes. I don’t know why I suddenly became hazed with lust the moment I saw her beauty. Her casual clothes turned me on. She doesn’t exactly wear these things back in New York. She looks like she’s going to bed with those short silk shorts and thin clothes similar to a nightwear.
“Am I?” She asked, winding her arms around my neck. She suddenly frowned when she felt something from her stomach.
Warmth spread to my cheeks and entire body when she noticed what it was.
She grins mischievously. “You’re insatiable, tesoro.” She presses her lips to mine. “I guess that’s why I love you.”
“I love you more, Cara.”
