Part: 9 The Hidden Pain
Chloe's eyes fell over Mike. He's staring at her in disbelief.
"What? Why are you looking at me like this?" She asked him rudely because she's in a bad mood because Andrew walked away leaving her bleeding.
"I'm seeing you're really a human being." He told her, strolling to her.
She narrowed her brows bemusedly, "what do you mean?"
"I mean, you melted the heart of boss? A normal person can't do this." He stated, shaking his head incredulously.
Her eyes shimmered. "Really? Did I melt his heart?" She asked disbelievingly.
"Yes, I can clearly see it." He said confidently.
She pouted sadly, " I don't think so, he just walked out from here." She dejectedly looked in the direction from where he left.
"Because he didn't want to show you that his heart is melting and trust me, it is not what it looks like, Chloe."
"What do you mean?" She asked, raising her brows.
"I'll tell you but first let me do your dressing." He pointed at her bleeding wound.
"No, I will only get my dressing done by Mr handsome." She said and crossed her arms over her chest.
"Fine, then I'll not tell you anything about him. I thought maybe I can help you, but okay if that's what you want." He shrugged his shoulders.
"Okay, but you have to tell me everything about him." She waggled her finger at him.
"I'm here for this only." He smiled at her and then they both turned to walk.
She stopped and asked him, "By the way, what's your name?"
"I'm Mike. I work here and I'm close to boss." She nodded in response.
On the other side, Andrew is pacing across his room, wondering, why he became so angry and beat the truck driver and Chloe's words are echoing in his ear, "but deep inside you care for me."
"Do I really care for her?" He asked from himself.

Mike is doing her dressing. They're sitting in her room on the sofa. "Mike, now tell me about your boss." She asked him.
"Boss never cared for any girl before you. So, isn't it's obvious that you're special?" He asked her.
"Really? But he said he's helping me because he doesn't want to get himself in trouble." She uttered grimly.
"Well, he would have killed you instead of taking you here. Think wisely."
She widened her eyes in shock and asked, "why he would have killed me?"
She still isn't aware that he's a mafia boss.
"You don't know that boss is,"
At that moment only Andrew reached there to see if Chloe has done the dressing of her wound or not. He again became jealous after seeing her with Mike.
"Mike." He shouted and caught their attention. They both moved their eyes to the door where he's standing.
He marched to them in fury. "Mike, what are you doing here? I was finding you." He asked him in anger and through the corner of his eyes, he glared at her.
Mike can clearly see that he's jealous. "Boss, I'm doing her dressing." He stifled the laugh because it's funny for him to see his boss getting jealous of him.
"Let it be, I'll do this. You go and see, our truck is reached or not." He ordered him, snatching the ointment from his hand. Chloe is just smiling because she can also see that he's jealous.
"Okay, boss." Mike stood up and walked to the door but before stepping out, he turned and said, "take care, Chloe. I'll see you later."
"Thanks, Mike." Chloe said and slightly smiled at him.
"What you both were doing?" He asked her, sitting beside her.
"Nothing just talking. He's so sweet. I wonder what is he doing with you." He just glared at her.
"He's so sweet, you're so rude, you're so aggressive, he is so calm." She is blabbering when he is doing her dressing.
"How many times, I have to do the dressing of your wound?" He asked, extremely annoyed.
"Whenever you don't listen to me, you have to do my dressing." She grinned at him.
"Stubborn." He muttered in irritation.
"Look who is saying, the stubborn king."
"Stop back answering me?" He shouted at her.
"You stop shouting at me." She again answered him back.
"Aghh stop talking to me." He averted his eyes in anger.
She stood up and said, "I can't stop talking, therefore I'll talk to Mike. He is really very sweet."
He also raised from the sofa. "And you're so annoying." He yelled at her before storming out of the room, shutting the door.
"Oh God, he's really difficult to handle. I have to do something." She murmured and picked up her phone from the table to message Mike. He gave his number to her before doing her dressing.
Chloe :
Hi, Mike.
Mike :
Hey, Boss's Future Girl Friend.
She laughed after reading his message.
Chloe :
Haye... I hope so.
By the way, could I get his number?
Mike:
Yeh, sure. Boss is all yours.
She blushed.

She tossed her phone on the bed and went to the balcony after picking up the lighter and box of cigarette.
He's pacing across his room, anxious when she didn't reply to his message after seeing it. He doesn't know why he's feeling like she isn't fine and he's getting restless.
"What is happening to me?" He muttered, annoyed with himself.
She is now standing at the balcony and smoking, staring straight with a serious look on her face. Her eyes are filled with sorrow and her lips are drawn down in sadness. She is lost in the deep thoughts. The breeze is caressing her face and her hair are fluttering.
