Chapter 21 meeting Big Brother

Ever heard about getting shock upon shocks on the same day? Well it's happening with me.

It's been hardly two days since we came back to our house and I'm getting shocked.

First Stuti's marriage proposal then her groom came out to be that officer who saved us and then their marriage got fixed after 2 months as well.

And now this.. Want to know what I'm doing right now?

I'm getting ready to meet my brother -in -law.

Yes you heard it correct. That idiot Aashu came to tell us last night that today morning he will come with his brother to talk about our marriage

Can you believe it? Means he is telling me just a few hours before meeting?

He and his brother both are sitting downstairs and I'm tying my hair in a bun.

He has told everything to my parents and even told mumma that I have to pretend like a sanskari adarshwadi nari.

And no need to guess what my Momma said. She said she will make sure I look like a total sanskari.

I mean what's this all year?

"Turu don't curse your husband in your mind too much." Stuti said as she made me wear the heavy earrings.

I am wearing a silk plain yellow long kurti with long slit from both sides with yellow churidar along with silk cream dupatta with pink thick border.

My eyes are lined with kohl deeply making them pop out more.

My Momma didn't make me wear a saree why? Because it shows skin and according to Aashu his brother doesn't like the girls who show their skin..

So yeah she found this dress for me.

"It's easy for you to tell Stuti that don't think or curse them because you don't have to pretend what you're not. He is basically asking me to pretend that I'm not in front of his brother." I told her

She kept mum because she knew I'm right.

"Now get up and go into the kitchen and serve them." Mumma said coming from downstairs

I silently did what she said and went in front of those brothers who were talking with papa.

I went towards them and was about to place the tray when Mumma fake coughed making me realise that I had to serve them.

I took the tray and held it in front of them.

First I served Aaryav bhai, his brother. He took the cup and looked at me with hatred?

I shook my head and gave tea to Aashu who just pleaded with his eyes to not lose my calm. I just averted my eyes from his and gave tea to papa.

After this I sat in front of them like some show piece. Stuti is also sitting beside me.

"so you're the Turvi that my brother loves, you're the winner of that dance Competition right?" he asked straightly

I like him. He doesn't beat around the Bush just like me.

"Yes sir," I replied

"So Turvi you're a very traditional girl aren't you? Soft spoken submissive kind of like my brother said?" he asked and I looked at Mumma and papa who is looking a little bit awkward by his question

"I'm my kind sir. I don't know what your brother told you about me. I will like it if you just judge me on my behaviour, not on someone else's words." I told him with a smile

Aashu is shaking his head in no.

"Interesting, so what is your kind?" he asked

"my kind is I do what I feel is right." I replied

"So dance is your passion?" he asked me

"Yes , sir dance is my everything I love the dance most. Becoming a professional and famous dance choreographer is my dream." I told him

"Does it mean you love dance more than my brother? If he asks you to choose between them then what will you choose?" he asked

He surely knows how to question someone to irritate them.

"If someone asks you to choose between your eyes and ears, what will you choose?" I asked him

"why will I chose one?" he asked

"exactly why will I choose one? Aashank and dance both are like my body organs. How can I choose one?" I asked him and he smirked

Not a cruel one but an amused one.

"you're surely a witty girl with a sharp tongue I see." He said

"OK so last question if I kick aashank out from my property and don't give him a penny what will you do?" he asked and that got on my nerves

What does he think I'm?

"Sir if you Don't know then I will suggest you ask your brother about our relationship. I always knew that he is from a middle class family with an elder brother. As everyone else. I accepted his proposal as a middle class boy only. I believe in the hard work my parents have taught me. If you kick your brother out from your property still it won't affect my Feelings for him because I loved him not his bank balance. "I said a little angrily

I entered my room and locked it. Stuti is banging my door but I won't open it.

I changed my dress as fast as I can. And came out of my room.

" Turu what are you doing? "she asked but I won't give explanation to her now

" I'm doing the necessary thing. "saying I go downstairs

Everyone is looking at me with shock and Aashu is glaring at me angrily.

I stand in front of his brother.

" what is this Turvi? "he asked as I open the blazer

I had changed my dress In a black and cream spot panda print sleeveless crop top and mini pencil skirt which reached till my mid thigh.

" Sir before you say anything about our relationship or anything I want to tell you the truth. That was not me. Wearing that kind of clothes and submissive and soft spoken that's not me. By my answers you must have understood that I'm anything but a submissive.

Whatever aashank has told you is a lie. I wear short modern clothes like this. I curse, I drink, and I fight for the right thing. I even do puja and wear traditional clothes as well.

I do both things. But I'm not definitely what aashank said. He knows what kind of girls you like so he makes me present like that. Any relationship can't start on the basis of lies. At a point you would have known everything and that time you would have felt cheated. And I honestly don't want to do that.

After knowing what I'm if you still want to get us married then I will be happy but if you reject as well then also its ok. You're his guardian, you had raised him from childhood after your parents demise. So you have every right to choose his life partner. I know aashank must be cursing me and hating me for saying these things but I can't lie in this matter because I don't want your relationship to get damaged because of me. "I told him what I wanted to and waited for his answer
