CHAPTER 17: MEET AGAIN

The most beautiful woman in his life? Does this mean he's already in love with someone else?

Who is he referring to? I’m quite sure it’s not Sofia. It seems like Red doesn’t like her. Does he have a girlfriend or is he dating? He didn't tell me anything about that. Argh! Why am I making this a problem? It might be Mrs. Buenavista, right? Hmm, maybe Mrs. Buenavista because she’s his mom.

"Your mom's gift?" I asked him while watching him play with Blaze.

"No.” He answered.

If not Mrs. Buenavista, who is it? Is he really having a crush on another woman? Who is it? This feeling that makes me a fortune teller is annoying. But let's just say we're curious about who it is.

"Huh? Who else is the most beautiful woman in your life besides your mom?" I asked calmly.

"My sister..." Redemon answered with a touch of sadness in his voice.

What? Does he have a sister? Why didn't I know that, I thought he was the only child of the Buenavista.

"I'm sorry for asking so many questions, but where is your sister now? I didn't know you had a sister. I don't see her portrait here in the mansion. It's just Mrs. Buenavista's face, you, and your dad.

"She's an illegitimate child. Dad's daughter with another woman. That's why you won't see a single picture of her inside the mansion because my mom forbade it... She hates her... Mom can't accept that dad impregnated another woman and betrayed her." He said to me while quietly stroking the head of his pet dog.

"Where is she now?" I curiously asked. Redemon’s life is interesting. I thought his story was just evil, but it turns out that there is also a part in his heart of being a loving brother even though her sister is his father's illegitimate daughter.

"I don't know."

"What do you mean you don't know?" I asked back.

"Since my mom hates her so much, she even planned to kill my sister when she was here living with us. There were a lot of times that my mom planned to poison her. I heard that she even locked her up in the basement for weeks without lights and food. I'm studying abroad at that time, so I don't know anything about what's going on. Dad was angry at what my mom was doing, so he save my sister from the danger that she could suffer from mom and until now I still don't know where dad took her..."

So that's what happened. That's why I can't see even a single photo of his sister, and that's why no one knows that this Redemon has a sister because she's an illegitimate child. It seems that Mrs. Buenavista cares too much about the image of her family in the public, so she just kills the person who could destroy it. But his sister is still pitiful; I wonder where she is now.

"You didn't even ask? With so much wealth, it's impossible for you not to spend just to see your sister..." I asked. It's really impossible because he didn't find a way to use his money just to find his sister. I mean, they can afford to hire someone to find her.

"I did. I sent someone to look for her, but dad stopped me. He said that if I continued to insist on finding my sister, mom might have another chance to find her. He also said that her life might be in more danger. I don't want that to happen, so I stopped the search. I know, for sure, that he is in a good condition now. I know that dad will not leave her. Anyways, let's go; let's give Blaze a bath."

When he stood up, he offered me his hand to help me stand, and I immediately accepted it. I didn't say anything, and we went straight to the end of the garden. The faucet and hose needed to bathe Blaze are there.

"How can we bathe him if there is no shampoo or soap?" I asked curiously when I realized that we didn't bring a bath essential for Blaze.

"Do you think I'm dumb like you? Take the plant with the storage area there and get Blaze's shampoo and scrub brush," he commanded.

Oh, so they have a storage area here in the garden. For his information, I am new here. How dare he order me around; he's not even going to pay me twice a month!

"Here," I eagerly gave it to him when I got what he asked.

He just stared at me. "Just put it down there, you'll use it later."

"What?" I asked him in surprise.

"I'll take care of the hose, and you are going to bathe him," he said while putting a hand in his pocket.

What a crazy person he is! How do I bathe Blaze? The dog is not very used to me yet. He might eat me alive!

"Just hold him. Don't let go."

"What if I get bitten?!” I complain.

"Hold on, he won't bite you; I'll handle it," he said as he turned on the water. I heard the flow of water in the hose, so I immediately grabbed Blaze.

It didn't move and just held him. There are a lot of good dogs on the street, but I'm not sure about this one. It lives in a mansion with a demon boss.

I let go of Blaze when water suddenly fell on my face, which immediately surprised me. I thought Mom was going to pick me up from heaven because I almost drowned.

"Are you crazy?!" I shouted angrily at him.

Argh! I'm wet. I even got ready and put on a little makeup this morning to look glowing, and then that's all you're going to do to me, Redemon! You really have no shame!

"My bad, I can't control the hose anymore. The water flow is so strong," he said while suppressing his laughter.

"You did it on purpose! Look at what you did; I'm already wet!"

"That's fine. You will just take a bath later too; I just made it early." His behavior made my head even hotter.

I immediately stood up and was about to approach him to grab the hose when he suddenly opened it again and handed it to me. I fell back as the water splashed on my body.

"Give Blaze a bath. Get moving."

I could feel my blood boiling with anger, so I immediately calmed myself down before touching Blaze again. Gladly, he behaves and doesn't really move around.

I was surprised to see Blaze so happy while he was being washed up. I just saw a dog that loves to be bathed. Most dogs will run and hide as soon as they see water.

I started putting shampoo on his body and slowly scrubbing his fur. When I finished shampooing it, I just stared at Redemon and waited for him to rinse Blaze. He just gave me a shrug that made my head heat up. I will really die early if I spend my whole life with this person.

"Rinse him," I said, annoyed.

I stood up and let him rinse Blaze. He was still chasing him while hitting Blaze with water, which made him happy. It turns out he is a dog lover.

"We don't have towels," I said.

"No need. Blaze prefers to dry on his own."

"Okay."

I just sat on the grass and watched them chase each other. While looking at them, I noticed that Redemon looks like a normal person. You wouldn't think he was a rich kid with his own company. Maybe the girl she will marry is lucky because he can give her a good life…

"Done. Please turn off the faucet," he said; fortunately, I was sitting nearby, so I simply reached for it to turn it off.

"Leave," he said to me.

I just scolded him and stuck out my tongue. He thought maybe he could take my place. No way! It's so good that I can sit here. I was stopped in my thoughts when Blaze suddenly came up to me and shook his fur. The water in its body splashed at me. Fortunately, my mouth is not open, but I can still drink the water.

I immediately stood up and stared angrily at Redemon.

"I told you to leave. You're not listening," he said while fixing the hose.

"You didn't say that's what Blaze would do!" I was angry while he was removing the wetness from me.

It didn't pay attention to me and just ordered Blaze to take a position facing the sun. When he came back, he just stared at me.

"Let's go; you need to shower," he said as he walked back to me.

"I've already taken a shower!" I shouted at him.

He stopped walking and faced me. "I can already see your bra peeping at your clothes," he said while walking away. I immediately held on to my chest. While walking back to my room, I just held my chest up to cover it. After climbing the stairs, I quickly entered my room and locked it. I went straight to the bathtub and took off my clothes and underwear. When I immerse myself in the water, I can feel its warmth, which really makes me feel better. I don't know how long I've been stuck here, but I don't want to come up because I'm sure that guy will order me around again.

While scrubbing my skin, the news from earlier on TV suddenly entered my mind. What is the reason those two traitors broke up? It's a waste of Maxine's effort to end my relationship with Mark if they don't last long as well. But I don't care what happens to them. Maybe they are being punished for what they have done.

When I was finished soaking, I went up and got dressed. After getting dressed, I just fixed myself up for a while and immediately went downstairs to have dinner. When I went down, I saw Redemon sitting in the living room, and he looked like he was going to a meeting because of what he was wearing.

"After you eat, go with Manang Fe to go grocery shopping. I have a meeting and I won't be able to go home right away, so let the driver take you there and help you." He ordered as soon as he saw me.

"Go home immediately," he added before completely leaving the mansion.

Tsk! I am not even going anywhere. Do I look like a wanderer?

I went to the dining room and saw that Manang Fe had finished preparing food. I invited her to eat, and she agreed. When it was over, I helped her wash the dishes.

"Yes, by the way, manang. Can you accompany me to go grocery shopping today? Because Red ordered me to go with you." I said while wiping the washed plates.

"Sure."

After finishing everything, we immediately left and let Roy drive us to PureGold. PureGold is the closest grocery store outside the village. When we entered PureGold, I remembered that I had left my bag in the car. I need to get it back because it has the money that Red gave me.

"Manang, just a moment... I left my bag in the car, I'll just come back..." I told Manang Fe, who nodded.

I immediately got out of PureGold and went to the parking lot, but I was stopped when someone suddenly grabbed my arm. His grip is too strong. I stared at him evilly, but I didn't expect to see him standing in front of me right now and grabbing my hand. I never thought we would meet again.

"Mark?!" I asked the man who was holding my arm tightly. What is he doing here?
