CHAPTER 41: MISSING
"Do you think Auntie was able to do it?" Sofia asked Maxine anxiously. They were now in Sofia's room to get the sunscreen, but there was another reason why they went there. Sofia has been pacing around the corners of the room for several minutes.
"Can you relax? Geez! You know, you can just sit there and calm down. Nothing will happen if you keep walking around like that. You're making me dizzy." Maxine said this to Sofia irritably.
Sofia was unable to do anything but sit down and wait for the next step in their plans.
Meanwhile, while the two were restless in their room, Madame Buenavista was calm. She opened her eyes and watched the peaceful sleep of Chelsea.
------------Flashback----------
While the three were busy taking pictures, Madame Buenavista immediately went to the kitchen of the villa. A few employees greeted her there.
"Have you prepared what I ordered?" she asked the employees.
The employees nodded and brought out two bottles of wine and a suspected sleeping aid. Madame Buenavista took a wine glass and carefully poured some wine into it before putting in the sleeping aid. She even smiled as she stirred the wine to mix in the added substance.
She also poured more wine into another glass for her to drink. When she was finished, she left the villa and went to Sofia and Maxine. She didn't approach them; she just signaled to them. A while later, Chelsea arrived, just after answering Red's call. It approached Maxine and Sofia, and the two said goodbye as they went to get the sunscreen in Sofia's room, leaving Chelsea alone.
When Madame Buenavista saw that Chelsea was alone, it was her signal to enter. She signaled to the employees to follow her. When she got close to Chelsea, she invited it to drink and offered the prepared wine with a sleeping aid.
----------End of Flashback----------
She stood up from her seat and approached Chelsea to look at her closely. When she got close, she turned her head closer to Chelsea. She watched it carefully and made sure that the sleeping pill that he had mixed with the wine that she had given her to drink went down. She moved Chelsea's head to make sure. A smile appeared on her lips when they succeeded in what they were planning.
She walked into the villa, and when she entered, she was met by Sofia and Maxine, who were obviously eager for their long-awaited news.
"How was it? Did it work, auntie?" Sofia asked openly. Madame Buenavista was silent and sitting on the sofa. She poured tea into the cup on the table and drank it. The two did nothing and just calmed themselves down and sat down. They only observed Madame Buenavista and waited for her to speak. "Our mission here is complete," Madame Buenavista said as she finished sipping and placed her drink on the table. Shall we go home now?" Madame Buenavista said with a smile.
Their eyes immediately lit up as if they had won the lottery. Maxine and Sofia looked at each other and smiled as if they were talking that way.
"Well... Maybe it's time to go home, the typhoon might catch up with us here. What we're planning to leave here alone, that sly Chelsea will be destroyed." Maxine said with a smile.
The two nodded, and they immediately arranged their things and got dressed so they could leave early. "Let's hurry, and maybe he'll wake up..." Sofia spoke hurriedly as she dragged the suitcase she was carrying. She handed it to her staff, and one by one, their staff brought their suitcases.
Before they went to the yacht, they first peered at Chelsea and said, "Please let her go to the bedroom." Order of Madame Buenavista to a male member of Sofia. The man immediately followed and gently lifted Chelsea. When he picked it up, they didn't notice that Chelsea's phone had fallen from where he was sitting.
After Chelsea got up to the room, the three quickly went to the yacht. They also took all of Sofia's staff with them, which is why there is absolutely no one left to be with Chelsea in Sofis paradise. When everyone got on the yacht, they were greeted by the yacht's driver.
"Ma'am, are we leaving already?" he asked Sophia.
"Yes." Sophia and Maxine spoke at the same time. They looked at each other and laughed at what they did.
"Do you have anything left behind? Have you rechecked your belongings? It will be difficult for us to go back if you leave something behind because the storm will arrive tonight," he asked Sophia.
"Nope. We have nothing left. If we left anything, it's just trash. Do we really need to bring the trash too?" Maxine asked with a sarcastic tone.
The man just nodded in response and headed inside to start the yacht's engine. The three of them were already seated and couldn't stop smiling like this was the happiest day that had come to them. After a while, the yacht started to move. It would take them an hour and a half to reach the private island on the shore because of how far it is.
Meanwhile, while Red was in a meeting, he couldn't focus on his work. He was still worried about Chelsea, even though it had been made clear to him earlier that Sophia wasn't doing anything wrong to him. His mind was in a state of floating and flying. When the meeting ended, he still couldn't calm down.
He immediately took out his phone and sent a message to Chelsea asking how he was doing.
"Sir, your next meeting will start in 10 minutes. Do you want to have some coffee first before going there?" Ms. Dein asked Red.
Red just nodded and headed to his room. They are currently in a five-star hotel in Singapore, busy handling their upcoming projects. When he reached his room, he sat down on the sofa and rested his head on it. He couldn't stop worrying about Chelsea. He couldn't do anything but go and watch over him because he had to attend consecutive meetings.
After a while, Ms. Dein came in with a cup of coffee and placed it on the table in front of Red. "Secretary Dein, I want you to make a call. Call Manang at the mansion and ask if Chelsea has already gone home," Red ordered his secretary. Ms. Dein immediately followed his orders and excused herself from her boss to call the mansion.
While Ms. Dein wasn't there yet, Red took the opportunity to drink the coffee he had prepared. He also took a minute to check his phone to see if Chelsea had replied, but there was still no sign of a response.
A little while later, Ms. Dein entered again, "Sir, Ma'am Chelsea has not yet returned. Manang Fe said they received a call from your mother, and they are on their way home." Ms. Dein said.
Red nodded at what he heard. He felt as if he had been struck in the chest when he heard the news that she was going home. He stood up and straightened himself up to attend his next meeting.
When the yacht that Sofia was on arrived at the pier, Kuya Roy greeted them. He greeted his boss with a smile and greeted him, and asked how their short vacation was. When all the luggage was brought in, it was then that Kuya Roy realized that Chelsea was not with them.
He did not get into the car right away and waited to see if anyone else would get off the yacht. When Madame Buenavista noticed what Kuya Roy was doing, she looked out the window in anger and asked, "What are you still doing there? Let's go!" Madame Buenavista spoke angrily to Kuya Roy.
Kuya Roy scratched his head, "Ah-- because ma'am... Ma'am Chelsea is not here yet... Wasn't she with you earlier? Won't she ride home with us?" Kuya Roy asked anxiously. Madame Buenavista was immediately taken aback by this and quickly thought of an excuse. Maxine and Sofia also looked at each other, and it was obvious from their faces that they were nervous.
"She left earlier. She walked out when we arrived, she didn't seem to like that I was with her on the same island." Madame Buenavista said while avoiding eye contact with Kuya Roy.
Kuya Roy raised an eyebrow at what she said. Since he arrived at the pier, he had not seen any yacht arriving. There was also no sign of Chelsea. Kuya Roy began to suspect something was wrong with what his boss was doing and what was coming out of her mouth.
"What are you still waiting for there? Let's go, I want to rest." Madame Buenavista said irritably.
Kuya Roy had no choice but to get into the car and start it. While on the way, he still wondered if what his boss said was true, that Chelsea had left earlier. He wanted to ask them more, but he was not in a position to interfere further. It would only jeopardize his job if he were to ask more questions. He just decided to let it be and just do his job.
It had been a few hours before they arrived at the mansion. As they got off, Kuya Roy immediately assisted them and helped them carry their belongings into the mansion. The sky was already starting to get dark, and it seemed that it was going to rain heavily.
After finishing putting their things away, Kuya Roy immediately headed to the kitchen to look for Manang Fe.
"Manang!" he called out to the old woman. Manang Fe was startled and glared at the anxious Kuya Roy. "What are you doing? Do you want to give me a heart attack?!" Manang Fe asked angrily.
"I'm sorry, Manang... I just wanted to tell you something..." Kuya Roy said this nervously.
Manang Fe furrowed her brow at what he said, "What is it?"
"Well, Manang... Wasn't Ma'am Chelsea with them when they left earlier?" Kuya Roy asked Manang Fe.
"Oh, what's the matter?" Manang Fe asked in response to Kuya Roy's abrupt change in conversation.
"Well, Manang... Ma'am Chelsea wasn't with them on the way home... Madam Buenavista said that Ma'am Chelsea had already gone home earlier, but since I arrived early at the pick-up point and if it's true that Ma'am Chelsea had gone home earlier, then I should have seen her there..." Kuya Roy just scratched his head as he told Manang Fe.
"Are you sure about that? My goodness... If Ma'am Chelsea had already gone home, shouldn't she be here in the mansion earlier?" Manang Fe asked. They started to worry so Manang Fe quickly grabbed her phone and called Red.
It took several rings before he answered. When he did, it was Secretary Dein who answered the call.
[Manang? Sir is still in a meeting... Is there a problem?]
"Oh my goodness, it's really important... I'm sorry if I disturbed you during your work hours but it's just that Ma'am Chelsea... She wasn't with Madam when they came back... We're worried because it was said that Ma'am Chelsea had already gone home earlier but if she had, then she should have been here in the mansion earlier, but she's not..."
[Okay Manang... Please calm down and don't worry too much, it might affect your health. Don't worry, I'll tell sir right away.]
"Thank you, my dear... We were really worried about Ma'am Chelsea and we're afraid that something might have happened to her, oh please don't let that be the case..."
[I'll take care of it, I'll tell sir right away...]
…
RED
I was busy listening to a presentation presented by my meeting partners when my secretary suddenly entered the room.
"Sir, we have a situation... Ma'am Chelsea, it is said that she was not with your mother when she returned... "It was said earlier, but nothing has been found as of yet." She whispered.
"What?!" I immediately stood up from my seat. I immediately stopped the meeting and apologized to them. I quickly went to my room and arranged my things. "Send people to find Chelsea. Please have the private plane ready; we will go home right now." I authoritatively ordered my secretary.
This is what I’m afraid of. I really don't trust her to be there. I will never forgive them if something bad happens to Chelsea...
