You Broke Me, First
After ten days of intensive treatment, today, finally, Tristan was allowed by the doctor to go home immediately. Before actually leaving the hospital, the man first underwent a brief observation. The team of doctors even re-examined every function of all vital organs in Tristan's body. After making sure everything was in good condition, he was invited to leave.
"For now, Mr. Tristan should rest for one to three days at home. Don't do activities such as lifting heavy objects, walking up and down stairs, exercising too much energy, and lastly, don't get enough sleep. Don't forget always to take vitamins and healthy food."
Aurora and Tristan nodded in unison after listening to what the doctor suggested. Agree not to do things that can worsen health conditions for a smooth healing process.
Tristan himself treated Aurora with great care. Even though she could walk upright, she still didn't want to take the risk. He asked the medical staff to move Tristan into a wheelchair to be taken immediately to their car, which was parked in front of the lobby.
"For God's sake, treat me like a cripple, Aurora," Tristan protested when he got into the car. They are currently on their way to a housing complex in Kensington.
"I'm not exaggerating, Tristan. You heard what the doctor said before we left, didn't you?" replied Aurora nonchalantly. His eyes were busy looking at the tablet screen he was holding.
Tristan, who was sitting next to him, seemed to sigh softly. Before long, there was a clicking sound followed by other protesting words.
"How long are you treating me like this? Even though you know that my condition is much better, right? I'm like a baby when I do everything with the help of others."
Without looking back, Aurora nodded, then answered.
"It won't take long. I promise I'll take utmost care of you for three days. After that, you may learn to do all your things on your own slowly."
"Why not just now? How is it different now from three days later?"
Again, Tristan tried to negotiate. He is used to concisely doing everything without the help of others. Being treated as it is now even hindering his body's movements.
"Oh my, Tristan Quartararo." This time Aurora turned to look at the man. "Don't be like a child. Just do what I'm about to do to you. It won't take long. Only three days."
"Not!" Tristan shook his head. "I think one day is enough, Aurora."
"Well, how about two days? After that, you can continue your normal activities as usual." "Deal."
Tristan gave his wrist, inviting Aurora to shake hands in agreement with the woman's request. While waiting for their car to arrive, Aurora's cell phone rang soon after. The woman took it from the bag without hesitation and received a call from someone on the other side.
"Yes, Sophia."
Hearing Sophia's name slip from Aurora's lips, Tristan turned to the woman next to him. He deliberately sharpened his ears to know what the two women were talking about.
"Are you guys back from the hospital?" asked Sophia, who was currently at home.
"Yes." Answering the interlocutor's question, Aurora nodded reflexively. "We're close. We'll be home in ten minutes or so."
"Thank God. Then I'll prepare the room and food for Tristan when he arrives. You guys, just being careful on the road. See you later."
"Okay," said Aurora and then ended the call.
"What else?" Tristan inquired curiously. He said he hated it, but he was still curious about what Aurora and Sophia had discussed on the phone just now.
While returning her focus to looking at the tablet she was holding, and Aurora answered the question that Tristan had asked her.
"Sophia called me because she wanted to ask when you got home. She couldn't wait to welcome and prepare a room for you to occupy immediately," explained Aurora.
"Who wants to sleep in my room anyway?"
Raising her eyebrows, Aurora turned her head and then asked a question.
"Then where are you going to sleep? The guest room? Or the workspace? Don't be crazy, Tristan. You haven't fully recovered yet. So stop acting like a child."
Being scolded all-out by Aurora made Tristan immediately sigh in disgust. Why is this woman next to him always angry at his words.
"Who wants to sleep in the workspace. It's just that you heard the doctor forbid me to go up and down stairs. So I decided these few days to sleep in your room instead. How's that?" asked the man, rolling his eyes. "Don't forget, on the first floor, and there is only your room and the workers' room."
"You are a bother. Then where should I sleep?"
This time it was Aurora's turn to protest. Tristan arbitrarily pushed her away to move. "Yeah, just sleeping next to me, what's so hard."
Without permission, Aurora immediately pinched Tristan's arm on purpose.
"Don't be crazy! Don't you think about your wife's feelings? Don't make my material for your revenge, Tristan."
"You think I care about that woman's feelings?" Tristan replied with an indifferent face. "Her name is Sophia, Tristan. Sophia Walters Quartararo," the woman said emphatically.
"Honestly, I was surprised. Why is it so hard for you to be nice to Sophia once? Even if you hold a grudge against his father, at least for now, respect what he did to you. I who love you can tolerate and even try to be human to a woman who is my rival."
Tristan chuckled again. He looked away and then preferred to stare at the rows of trees through the car window. For a moment he felt like laughing. Even though Alfonso Adelaide had confirmed to him that it wasn't the man who killed his father, still Tristan couldn't immediately believe it before actually proving everything himself.
The same goes for what was accused of Raphael. Even though he was proven to have betrayed his father, still Tristan can't immediately accuse and then sue the man who has taken care of him to the authorities.
There is still a lot of supporting evidence that Tristan has to look for. Not only that, until this moment he was even kind enough to let Raphael stay at his house. easily watch over and catch Raphael when really proven guilty like what Alfonso had accused him of. Of all people, for now for some reason only Aurora he trusts. Especially when detective Joseph confirmed that Aurora was not Raphael's biological child.
"Ah, yes. I almost forgot and missed to tell you," said detective Joseph at the time before actually leaving Tristan's room.
"About what this time?" Tristan asked curiously.
"It's about Aurora Smith. A pretty girl who's been with Raphael for a long time."
Tristan's brow furrowed in an instant. Of course he wondered why detective Joseph suddenly returned to discussing Aurora. Was that woman involved in something?
"What about Aurora? Does the woman keep an important secret? Or maybe he's just like his father."
From Tristan's eyes, he could see detective Joseph chuckling as he waved his hands.
"No ... no ... that's not what I meant. I missed information about Aurora, who is actually not Raphael's child."
For this fact, Tristan was successfully taken aback. After learning about his mother's love affair, now he got other news about the status of the woman who was previously expected to marry him.
"What do you mean Aurora isn't Uncle Raphael's child? Didn't you say that she was Uncle Raphael's son with a woman from Bristol."
"Yes." Joseph nodded. "I was just rereading my notes. I found some information tucked away." The middle-aged man then showed the note he meant.
"Here, it's written that Raphael actually married a woman who was his cousin's lover before."
"Huh? What? What do you mean?" Tristan asked, confused.
"Well..." Joseph slowly explained. "So this cousin of Raphael is an army soldier and has been engaged to the woman from Bristol. When he was assigned to guard the border, suddenly his cousin died. While his own fiancé turned out to be very pregnant. Feeling sorry for his cousin's baby, he didn't have a guardian. Raphael offered to become his guardian by marrying the woman. But unfortunately, when giving birth to Aurora, the woman also lost her life."
Tristan was speechless after hearing the news that detective Joseph had just conveyed. He was too shocked to listen to the facts that began to unfold in front of his eyes. No wonder Raphael set him up with Aurora. Maybe because she thought she had no one else in the world.
Based on this information, Tristan continued to behave the same way to Aurora. He even deliberately did not tell the slightest of the feud between himself and his father. Tristan was also not interested in attracting the woman to join him in the vortex of his problems.
"We've arrived, Mister Quartararo. How long are you going to be daydreaming like that?" said Aurora while helping open the seat belt wrapped around Tristan's body.
"Yeah, I know we've arrived," said Tristan, then turned the car door lever intending to get off.
Aurora swiftly circled the car and helped support Tristan's body, which had already gotten out of the vehicle, to enter the house immediately. Slowly they both walked. When they got inside, there were Samanta and Sophia, who immediately greeted the two.
"Sir, Madame."
"Samanta, please tidy up my room right now. In the next few days, Tristan will sleep there until he gets better."
"Very well, madam."
Sophia, standing next to Samanta, immediately gave her a questioning look. But before speaking, Aurora first gave her clarification.
"Since the doctor won't allow Tristan to go up and down stairs, let him rest in my room for a while. And you, Sophia. If you want to accompany him, you can move to my room. Let me sleep in the guest room."
"Who would want to share the same room with Sophia?" Tristan immediately answered. It doesn't matter if anyone else hears what he has to say.
"Tristan!" Aurora exclaimed in a slightly raised voice. "I told you, don't act like ---"
"It's okay, Aurora." Sophia brought her hand to signal that Aurora's emotions would not be ignited.
"Maybe Tristan just needs some time to rest on his own without being bothered by other people. That's fine. There's no need to worry about me."
Aurora took a deep breath. Truly made crazy by Tristan's behavior which is getting more and more outrageous.
"I hope you understand the behavior of the little boy next to me, Sophia. He's always like that when he wants to get people's attention."
Lazy to listen to the chatter of the two women next to him, Tristan chose to walk slowly into the room. He didn't care what Aurora and Sophia discussed after that.

Sophia looks busy preparing a variety of healthy food menus for Tristan to eat tonight. When the man came home, she went down to the kitchen to select the ingredients, process them, then serve them on the table. However, for mutual convenience, she deliberately asked Samanta not to tell Tristan at all that she was the one who cooked.
Sophia realized that Tristan must have refused to eat the food outright when he found out she had made it. The proof is that for two days, Sophia secretly prepared food. Tristan always finished everything she served.
Samanta always informs Sophia that Tristan never leaves any food specially cooked for her. That's why Sophia prefers to keep what she does so that Tristan is comfortable enjoying what he eats.
"Madam," Samanta called when she had just finished tidying the woman's clothes in the closet.
"Yes, What is up?"
"When I look around, it seems that Mr. Tristan really likes all the food that Madam has prepared these past few days."
For the sake of hearing those words, Sophia looked up and then at Samanta's face with a smile.
"Oh yes?"
"Yes." Samanta nodded confidently. "The evidence is that this afternoon I was late to call Mr. Tristan, he even came out himself and immediately asked if the food had been served. That means he really can't wait to eat your cooking."
Sophia smiled amusedly. But on the other hand, her heart was full of flowers because, for the umpteenth time, Samanta gave the good news that what she was cooking had been eaten without any leftovers by her husband.
"Maybe at that time my husband was hungry."
Samanta immediately shook her head repeatedly. "No. I am sure, sir, that you are addicted to the food you cook. Before, in all the time I have lived and cooked in this house, I have never seen your husband as enthusiastically as he is now eating his food."
Still smiling, Sophia answered again. "Thank God that Tristan likes it. That means what I'm doing won't be in vain."
"But by the way, madam."
Sophia's eyebrows shot up sideways.
"Yeah, what else?"
"Is it true that tomorrow Master will start work?"
Sophia nodded immediately. Like what Aurora said to her this afternoon, the woman told her that tomorrow Tristan would slowly start to return to his usual activities. Aurora also suggested that Sophia prepare healthy food so Tristan can still eat it even though he is at the office.
"Tomorrow, my husband will indeed work as usual. That's why, before going to bed, you prepare the clothes he will wear in advance. I also have to go down for a while to meet Aurora. Tristan."
Samanta nodded. The woman was also prepared to leave immediately.
"If I'm not mistaken, earlier I saw Mrs. Aurora enter her room. Maybe as usual, helping Mr. Tristan to change his sleeping clothes."
"Ah, I see," said Sophia. "Well, let me just go straight there."
Elsewhere, Aurora seems to be helping Tristan undress and slowly removing the bandage attached to his chest. Since the bruise was not as painful as before, the doctor allowed the man to have it removed permanently.
With patience and care, Aurora removed the plaster that was attached. Seconds later, clean the remaining adhesive that sticks to the skin's surface with alcohol, so it doesn't leave marks.
"Get used to it when there's a problem discussed, Tristan. Instead of drinking until you lose control. If you want to get drunk, what's so hard about calling the driver to pick you up," said Aurora as she continued to rub alcohol on Tristan's exposed chest.
"I wasn't drunk that night," Tristan argued. He tried to defend himself. "If only the minivan in front of me didn't stop suddenly. I'm sure I'd make it home safely."
"But the proof is you're harmed, isn't it?" debate Aurora does not want to lose.
"No need to worry Aurora. I'm not going to die. It's not yet time for the angel of death to come to me."
Annoyed by Tristan's answer, Aurora deliberately pressed the bruise she had cleaned until the man groaned in pain.
"You are childish. If this happens again. Don't ever ask me for help." Tristan just laughed. Feeling exasperated, he pinched both of Aurora's cheeks, who were sitting in front of her.
"Don't be so grumpy. You'll get old quickly. But..."
There was a pause before Tristan finally spoke again. "I will continue to thank you. Thank you very much for all the kindness and sacrifices you have done for me. I realize that until this moment I have not been able to fully repay your actions."
"Tsk." Aurora chuckled and pursed her lips. Tired of hearing Tristan's words that seem exaggerated. "Don't talk too much. Get well soon. So you don't have to keep bothering me."
"Don't you like taking care of me like this?"
Aurora nodded. Carrying her hand, which was still on Tristan's chest, she gently caressed the man's skin while speaking softly.
"Anyway, of course I'm happy to take care of you. Especially if your current status is my husband."
Tristan grabbed Aurora's face, then locked his eyes on the sparkling bead of the woman in front of him. "Are you still waiting for me?"
Once again, with full confidence, Aurora nodded.
"Of course. Whether you love it or not, I'll always be waiting for you, Tristan. You know that no matter what happens, I'll never turn my back on you."
At that moment, Aurora moved her face forward. She grabbed Tristan's lips, then bit and tasted it with great tenderness. She lightly kissed the corner of Tristan's lips until the man finally responded to what she did.
While continuing to bite, Aurora slowly brought her hand to caress the neck gently and then down to the back of the man in front of her. Even the top of the pajama that she had buttoned up, Aurora deliberately opened it again so that she could freely roam Tristan's body, which looked so burly and tempting to touch.
At the same time, Tristan himself did not refuse in the slightest. He seemed to let whatever Aurora did to him. He even obeyed as she deepened the kiss and led him to lie down slowly.
Meanwhile, Sophia, who had intended to visit Aurora, could only remain silent in front of the room. From behind the door gap that was not closed tightly, she could see how Aurora was acting aggressively and full of lust. She is not the least ashamed to caress her husband's body, even biting as if wanting to do more than kiss.
Sophia was sure this wasn't on purpose like Tristan had done before. Feeling sick with what she saw, Sophia chose to back away and then turned around to run to the room quickly.
