Chapter 240 - Just Pretend That He Doesn’t Exist

Thus, the photoshoot started again.

The backdrop of the second phase of the photoshoot was a library.

The female lead stood on the chair and tried to grab the book on the topmost shelf, but she could not reach it no matter how hard she tried.

With a tilt of her body, she fell down, but the male lead managed to hold onto her in the nick of time.

“Hold on, Chen Xiluo should hold onto Duan Yuning’s waist, while Duan Yuning turns around to look at him. Your gazes should seem a little more affectionate. The both of you have been cooperating well so far, so I won’t say too much. Let’s begin!”

Duan Yuning stood on the chair.

Luo Chenxi walked over and placed her hand on Duan Yuning’s waist.

Since it was a set, there wasn’t much requirement for acting skills, they would be fine as long as their expressions were on point.

Duan Yuning leaned into Luo Chenxi’s embrace, when she turned around, she met that handsome and gentle face.

Duan Yuning kept on staring at Luo Chenxi, unable to move her eyes away..

At that moment, Duan Yuning suddenly felt a chill coming from her back.

A sharp gaze swept towards her.

She suddenly shivered and her legs went weak, causing her body to sway and she almost fell off the chair.

Luo Chenxi quickly pulled her back. “Miss Duan, are you okay? Why did you lose your balance?”

“I’m… I’m fine…”

Duan Yuning replied weakly and looked back in horror.

Luo Chenxi also followed her line of sight and looked over.

Behind Duan Yuning sat Young Master Mu.

Mu Yichen had a cold expression on his face. He was holding a teacup in his hand and was drinking tea with his eyes lowered. It was as if he did not even glance at them.

Luo Chenxi initially thought that Duan Yuning was being nervous because she saw the big boss, hence she comforted her, “Don’t be afraid. Young Master Mu is only here to take a look. He won’t affect our photoshoot, just pretend that he doesn’t exist.”

Duan Yuning took a few deep breaths and calmed herself down. “Okay, I understand.”

Tang Jiadong said, “Duan Yuning, stand firm later and be careful not to fall. Alright, let’s do it again!”

Duan Yuning returned to her chair.

Luo Chenxi stretched out her arm again and wrapped it around Duan Yuning’s waist.

Duan Yuning leaned towards her again..

Then, she tilted her body and actually fell again!

The third time, the fourth time, the fifth time..

Every time before the official shoot, Duan Yuning would either suddenly fall or her body would stiffen and she wouldn’t be able to get into the mood at all.

‘Duan Yuning is really strange. Her performance in the morning was clearly not bad, but why does she keep making such rookie mistakes now?

When he saw that they could not continue shooting, Tang Jiadong could only call for a time-out.

When Young Master Mu came, I couldn’t shake the feeling that he’s glaring at me, his aura is just too strong. I… I’m honestly not doing it on purpose. I guess I really am too unprofessional, I keep on being distracted by other influences.”

Luo Chenxi glanced at Mu Yichen.

The man was leaning against the back of the chair, closing his eyes and pretending to take a nap.

Luo Chenxi strode over to him. “Young Master Mu, I see that you’re a little bored just sitting here. Shall I accompany you out for a walk?”

Mu Yichen opened his eyes.

What greeted his eyes was a perfectly exquisite face that was hard to distinguish between a male and a female.

Her deep and repressed voice had a hint of sexiness at the end of her tone.

However, within those big beautiful eyes, it seemed like it was about to spit fire from it.
