Otis sneered inwardly. Did these Silver Spears really see them as cannon fodder?

Seth, slowly emerging from the dust of the corpse, resembled a ghost or deity, his face filled with intense murderous intent.

"Knut, how are the family members? Were the losses heavy?" Seth's mood was a mix of anger and heartache.
