#57 - Avada Kedavra

They engaged in a fierce battle with numerous Death Eaters outside the Potter's house. However, due to Moody and the others' prior ambush, the Death Eaters were clearly caught off guard and suffered a crushing defeat.

"But then, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named appeared," Moody paused at this point.

"The Dark Lord?" "Voldemort showed up too?" Augusta and Lily exclaimed in surprise.

Moody nodded and continued, "Yes, just as the Death Eaters were being besieged, the Dark Lord arrived to support them. His magic was incredibly powerful, the kind you could feel even from a distance without him casting a spell. Soon after he appeared, he used Fiendfyre to summon a massive fire serpent, attempting to attack us."

"While we were busy parrying, Dumbledore appeared. We had arranged beforehand that he would be on guard against the Dark Lord, so when Voldemort showed up, Dumbledore provided timely support. He used a powerful spell that looked like 'Finite Incantatem,' directly dispelling the Fiendfyre and engaging Voldemort in battle. But the situation was chaotic, and everyone was scattered while dodging the Dark Lord's spells, including the Death Eaters. We didn't dare gather around Dumbledore, fearing it would affect his fight, so we had to fight our own battles."

Then, Moody glanced at the Death Eaters lying on the ground and continued, "I guess that's when these guys sneaked in using Disillusionment Charms or Invisibility Cloaks. The situation was very chaotic, and everyone had their own battles to deal with, so we might have overlooked that."

"So, what's the situation now? What about Frank and the others? Are they alright?" Alice Longbottom asked anxiously about her husband.

Lily and Augusta also looked at Moody with nervous expressions.

"Don't worry, your husbands are fine. We fought for quite a while, and then the Death Eaters, seeing the situation was bad, retreated with the Dark Lord. Except for Sirius and Peter who suffered minor injuries, everyone else is unharmed. The Aurors, under Barty Crouch's command, are still restoring the scene and have to deal with the surrounding Muggles' memories. James and Frank are upstairs taking care of Sirius and Peter. Behind everyone, the last Death Eater to fall, perhaps due to the lingering effects of some potion, suddenly struggled to his feet and roared, "Hail the Dark Lord! Hail Voldemort! Avada Kedavra!"

He raised his wand and launched an attack in the direction of the group.

At this time, everyone was already heading out, and the only ones left inside were Anduin and Moody. Anduin reacted quickly. The instant the Death Eater raised his wand, Anduin swiftly flicked his own wand. With the wave of his wand, a blast of air formed a gust of wind, forcefully blowing towards the Death Eater, causing him to stumble. The wand aimed at Anduin and Harry was thus blown upwards, and the Killing Curse shot out of his right hand, angled towards the ceiling.

At this moment, Moody, who was beside him, also reacted, raising his wand at the Death Eater and shouting, "Avada Kedavra!"

A beam of green light instantly struck the Death Eater, and he collapsed to the ground, completely limp.

The others who had already reached the door never expected that someone could get up and attack after being hit by several Stunning Spells. The sudden turn of events startled everyone, and they quickly turned back to check.

"Little guy, you're quick," Moody said, looking down at Anduin after killing the Death Eater with the Killing Curse, a more terrifying smile on his already scarred face.

Good grief, please don't smile. Your face is scarier than a Death Eater's when you smile, Anduin thought to himself as he saw Moody smiling at him.

But Anduin said calmly, "Likewise, your reaction was also very fast."

"Oh my god, Anduin, are you alright? That damn guy, I don't know what potion he drank, but he was able to get up," Augusta said with lingering fear as she walked to Anduin's side.

"Looking at the guy's crazed appearance, it's probably 'Dragon Blood Elixir.' What a bunch of lunatics, daring to use even this forbidden potion," Moody said coldly as he stepped forward to examine the dead Death Eater.

Anduin was also shaken. If he hadn't reacted quickly just now, he might have died here. It was a mistake not to disarm these people after the battle, leaving their wands lying on the ground.

At this moment, as if also frightened, Harry in Anduin's arms started crying loudly, and Neville in Augusta's arms also burst into tears.

These two little guys had been very quiet during the previous battle. Anduin had even forgotten their existence for a while. Now it was like a switch had been flipped, and they finally cried loudly. Anduin didn't know how to哄孩子(coax children), so he quickly handed Harry back to Lily.

Lily and the others, along with Anduin, nodded and began to walk out.

Mad-Eye Moody, left in place, first used a Levitation Charm to lift the two Death Eaters trapped in the ground, then dragged the Death Eater who had fainted outside into the house, placing the four side by side. Seeing one of the Death Eaters showing signs of waking up, he casually added another Stunning Spell.
