Manny P.O.V

I walk us inside the house. I hear Kane confirm what the witch Lucia told us. That Keya’s family are indeed of Werewolf origin. I notice how spooked they are to see us. Not afraid, just shocked. First off, I noticed how much she looks identical to all of them. You can clearly see the family resemblance here. Keya is just much shorter. She speaks to one of them.

I mindlink if she’s going to introduce me. And here she goes with this, ′Do I have to call you Papi?′ bullshit. Fuck Yeah! She will always have to call us Papi! Onyx asks if she would rather be spanked instead. She quickly yet shyly introduces us. Thanks, Onyx. “Anytime.” He replies smoothly. And her folks didn’t mind it at all. ‘Good Girl, Mami.’

“Hello, I’m Manny. Nice to meet you.” Her Grandma scans me up and down. But not in the way Grammy does. It’s more suspicious than flirty. “Nice to meet you also, Manny. I’m Fannie Mae.”

She stands and shakes my hand, firmly. Then she motioned for us to be seated with her eyes. Which I do. And plop a very nervous Keya comfortably on my lap. Fannie eyed me with slight distrust. “Who are you? Tell us about yourself.” I tell her the basics, but she’s not impressed, then asks. “Why are you with my granddaughter?” Uh… What? “What do you mean?”

“I mean, you’re over 21, right? She’s a minor. And I disapprove of relationships outside Fated Mates.” She replies sternly. She then looks at Keya. And commands, “Come here.” I unwrap my hand from her waist. So she can go around the table. Keya timidly walks over to her Grandma. The older woman wears a stern, no-nonsense face. But gently handles Keya. With scrutinizing eyes, she holds Keya at arms-length while looking at her heavily hickied neck.

Kane informs me, ‘She’s checking to see if Keya is Marked.’ Oh! She leans in close. Then sniffs her deeply. ‘And Mated.’ Shit! Can she smell that?! ‘Oh yes. We can scent the innocence or the lack thereof. In most individuals by smell.’ The older woman leans back in her chair with an agitated expression. She pursed her lips disdainfully, slightly glaring at me.

“Well, I see you ain’t been Marked or Mated. But you have been severely… touched! You reek heavily of Him!” She huffs disgusted, shakes her head, rolls her eyes, and fully glares at me. Keya’s sad, embarrassed eyes are on the ground, blushing hard as fuck. Oh no. Is she ashamed of being with us? Kane speaks through me firmly. Pride & ferocious conviction in his every word. ”She’s My Mate!"

All the females in the room are stunned! All eyes are on me. I see Keya’s eyes swirl blue and know automatically that she’s talking with Ja’el. Her Grandma recovers from the shock first and snarls. Her eyes snap at Keya. “Do you believe that he is your Mate?” Keya nervously peeks at her Grandma. She mumbles, stuttering. “My Wolf, Ja’el says that I won’t know until my birthday.” Her Grandma gasps stunned. She gently cups Keya’s cute face. “Wait, you’ve spoken with your Wolf?” Keya nods. “Since when?” Keya’s gorgeous eyes slowly find me shyly as she solemnly confesses. “Since he asked me out last week.”

Her aunts gasped, shocked. Her Grandma looks me up and down with suspicion. But for the first time, not in disgust. Keya’s lip quivers as she whispers, “Why didn’t you tell me I was a Werewolf?” The older woman’s face softens. She brings her and Keya’s foreheads together gently and sighs. “Honestly, it just wasn’t time yet. It’s a tradition in our family. That we wait until you’re 16. I was going to tell you then. Because your Dad isn’t able to. And usually, 16 is when your Wolf awakens. It’d be different if we were living in my hometown. You’ll get your Wolf as soon as you are born. But you can’t shift until 16.” “Oh wow!” Keya exclaims stunned.

Her Grandma shyly peeks at me and sighs. “But I’ve heard of instances where they awaken earlier if you are around your Fated Mate.” She sighs in relief and smiles. Kisses Keya’s forehead, then gently pinches her cheeks. Typical Grandma love. Mine does me the same way. Damn, I gotta talk to them tomorrow. Sigh... I just pray that they are easy to talk to like her family is.

Kane suggests, ‘Let me talk to her, Manuel.’ ‘Okay.’ “My Lycan, Kane, wants to speak with you.” “Lycan?!” Her family exclaims. I nod as Kane takes over and I observe from the Spirit Realm. I peer over at the Mansion that has Viktor’s memories inside. I don’t know when or even if I want to venture into it yet.

Kane P.O.V

I take control of the body. And notice how they all shudder under my power. Good, they need to know who’s in charge here. And show me due respect! I exude my power a bit more. They all gasp and fall into Submission. ‘Kane?’ My Keya’s sweet voice whimpers in my mind. I allow my power to relent. They all sigh in relief. I hold out my hand, beckoning her to me. She nods but hugs her Grandma and kisses her cheek, smiling. “I love you, Granny.” Fannies’ whole demeanor changes instantly. Joy pours from her, filling the room. “I love you too, always.”

Keya gives the same affection to her two aunts as well. Before she comes to take her place on my lap. I wrap my arm around her tiny waist and cup her face. Turn it up towards me. I breathe her in and kiss her Marking spot. She whimpers, trembles, and soaks my shorts. I slowly kiss her lips tenderly. Then whisper, “I love you too, Mate.”

Her Grandma asks, “So what Pack are you with? You don’t smell like you belong to Cedar Falls. But you don’t smell like a Rogue either.” “I do not come from any Pack. And I am not a Rogue. But I am the only born of Viktor Von Klaus!” The three ladies exclaim in quiet awe. “Viktor Von Klaus! You’re his Son?” ”I am.” I proclaim proudly. “I had no clue Viktor had bore Offspring. It isn’t in any of Lycandome’s Archives.”

Keya asks curiously, “Rogue? Lycandome’s Archives? What are y’all talking about?” I know about this info already. Her Grandma answers her. “Yes, sorry Keya. A Rogue is a Wolven or Werewolf without a Pack. And Lycandome Archives. Well, it’s a historical account of all of our known history. A library of sorts. From the creation of the first of our Kind. That being Viktor Von Klaus. Till now and every Wolven born in between. You can study this in the Spirit Realm. Oh, do you know of the Spirit Realm yet? Goddess, there are so many things to tell you. Where do I even begin?” I look her dead in the eyes and demand.

“Tell us about the Curse on your Bloodline!” She gasps and shudders horrified. Whispering, “How do you know about that?” Still holding My Keya’s warm face. I take a deep whiff. And snarl viciously. ”Because I can smell the tainted blood that runs through my Mates’ veins!"
