Alone
Luigi's POV
Despite of that few inches cut, Clary was able to flawlessly move from one place to another to hinder her opponent from getting closer to her. I am too bothered with the cut on her skin, the blood is dripping from it and is not stopping. Her blood is dripping up to her foot, leaving traces in every position she's standing. It looks like she was not affected by it, at all.
She can still move from one place to another and I am really amazed with that strength of her. When she was able to widen the gap further, she immediately positioned her arms to shoot an arrow. It was too quick to be noticed by her opponent, she really is quick at aiming. She has improved a lot as compared to when I saw her in the Luna Dinner and shooting her arrows at the invaders. I can imagine the tremendous training and practice that she has done to improve this much in just less than a week.
Her opponent shouted in pain when her arrows landed in her opponent's arm. This made the samurai sword slip out of her hand. As she removed the arrow piercing in her arm, she fiercely looked at Clary which was now distance away from her. Unlike the cut in Clary's waist that is bleeding excessively, the wound that was received by her opponent is much shorter in length and is not bleeding that much. That made me worry for Clary, she doesn't look bothered, though.
It seems on her facial expression that she is not feeling the pain of her wound, but the blood is not stopping and several minutes have already passed. Her wound needs to be stopped from bleeding, it is causing her too much blood loss.
She aimed at her opponent again, this time slowly. Carefully calculating the distance and her target. When she released the arrow, it immediately went directly at her opponent, who was running towards her. Her arrow pierced directly at her opponent's other arm, she is basically aiming at her arm to prevent her opponent from holding the samurai sword. However, her opponent did not let go this time her sword and just endured the pain caused by the arrow.
As compared earlier, Clary's opponent is now only holding one samurai sword with both of her hands. The pain that she received perhaps made it difficult for her to hold and sway her sword with a single arm. Her attack became lousy and was too easy to read. The two arrows that pierced in both of her arms made her attack powerless in front of Clary.
Looking at Clary, she still looks determined and focused. Anticipating every attack of her opponent, her speed is still good that enables her to dodge her opponent. She now aimed for the right leg which made the opponent halt from running and attacking towards her. While her opponent was busy removing the arrow that pierced her right leg, Clary immediately shot an arrow towards her opponent's left leg which completely hindered her opponent from attacking her. She is an incredible archer, I cannot believe it myself that she was defeated in her previous match.
Just when the match was about to end, with Clary being the winner, my brother suddenly vanished into the thin air. This confirms my speculation that he only visited the stadium to watch Clary. Before leaving the stadium, Clary, being the winner of her duel, looked in my direction. She seemed to be disappointed when she took a glance at the empty seat of my brother who had left just a while ago.
Clary's POV
When the pain from the wound that I got earlier started to kick in my senses, I immediately aimed and shot at my opponent to finish the duel instantly. It was also the time that the fatigue was already kicking in my body, that's when I noticed the blood that I lost. I didn't realize that it was this much! I could see the blood in every place in the stadium that I went to when I was trying to avoid her attacks. It was too much! But it was worth it.
I was on cloud nine when I was announced as the winner of this duel. That made my heart really happy and contented. However, when I looked in the direction where the leaders are supposed to sit, I got a little disappointed that the man who have helped me was nowhere to be found. I guess he was too busy to spend his precious time watching someone like me.
I wished he did see me because I fought well. I applied everything that he taught me, I used my physical abilities and shot my arrow without using too much air. I did everything for this duel, I just hoped he was able to see that. I just hope that he would be congratulating me on this victory. I wish I could share this victory with him because he believed in me, then.
My heart is full of joy with the thought that I actually did win in my second duel, but it felt empty now that I have no one to share this victory with.
"Let us go to the hospital," said by Darren that I met here outside the stadium. Ironically, it was a month ago when we are at this exact position but with different circumstances. It was different now. Things have changed ever since he left me and it is ironic to find him in the same place today with a different situation. It felt nostalgic but not completely, things have changed.
I shook my head as a sign of refusal to his offer, I have been wounded several times and not even once I went to the hospital. This wound is nothing compared with those that I received in my last duel. I will be fine in this state or if I really need a doctor to attend to this wound, I will go to the hospital...alone.
