Chapter 54: DISAPPOINTMENT

Jefferson opened his eyes slowly and looked at his side. He knew he had a very steamy night with his mate before.

Looking at the woman beside him he froze in shock. Who in hell was the woman beside him?

It shouldn't be it was the woman he had sex with the night before and was thinking it was his mate.

He hoped it wasn't how he thought. But he was wrong. That was exactly what happened. He had slept with someone else and had thought it was his mate.

What in hell would he do if DeLorna got here and met him this way? His mate wasn't a fool he knew she would know something went wrong during the night.

"Who the hell are you?" Jefferson growled, releasing his aura.

But he noticed the woman he was talking to didn't reply and was just staring at the door.

Immediately his heart started to beat fast. Jefferson had never felt afraid this much in his life as he turned his head to look at what the woman was staring at.

Immediately his eyes reached the door he saw his mate standing at the door looking at him with an expression he couldn't describe.

There was anger, shock, sadness, disappointment, and other emotion on her face.

He couldn't describe how she was feeling but he could see it and feel it because of the mate bond.

Yesterday he remembered going to the banquet with his sister but after the speech and food he had drunk some wine but after taking just two cups of wine he was drunk.

Then he remembered someone taking him to his room and then he spent the night with that person.

All his brain could register was that the person he had slept with the night before was his mate, not some random woman.

It was then he realized he was hypnotized. But who in hell hypnotized him and made him sleep with someone he knew not?

"Get out of my room!" Jefferson yelled at the woman beside him because of his full aura.

"No need to yell at an innocent person after what you did with her during the night. I'm sure she didn't force you but you did it of your own volition," Abigail suddenly said startling Jefferson.

Hearing DeLorna's words Jefferson froze. A smile appeared on the lips of the woman beside him.

"It seems like all the love you claimed you had for me was all a lie. Just because I had slept off and couldn't follow you to the banquet you brought back one of your subjects and slept with her now you are trying to act as if you're innocent," DeLorna continued.

"I should have known you were a cheat and should have not fallen in love with you."

"The moon goddess had made a mistake by making me fall in love with you."

"I'm very disappointed in you Jefferson. You broke me and my expectations."

"You said you were willing to lay your life for me but now I can see what you mean."

"You said all sorts of things to me. You promised we would live Peacefully after the war and now I can see the peace you want is for me to move out of your pack."

"I think you should just break the mate bond between us and get married to your slut."

"I'm broken."

DeLorna said breaking down in tears she wanted to say more but she just kept to her silence and broke down.

All kinds of emotions were swirling inside her and she didn't know what to do or say.

She was very disappointed in Jefferson for his actions.

Jefferson on hearing DeLorna's words frowned. He couldn't get angry, he could only beg for her forgiveness. He was sure there was nothing he would say that would make DeLorna believe him that he didn't know what he was doing.

"I.m so..ory," Jefferson shuttered as he apologized.

Never in his life had he been put into a status like that. His heart was beating fast and he was afraid that DeLorna might leave him if he wasn't fast enough.

"No need to be sorry I just hope you'll enjoy your time with her," DeLorna sniffed and ran out of the room crying out loudly.

She just ran out and didn't know where she was going.

Jefferson on the other hand was confused. He truly loved his mate and had never meant to cheat on her.

If he told her he was drunk and thought the woman beside him was his mate there was no way she would believe it.

He knew he had broken DeLorna's heart and there was no way she was going to forgive him easily.

No way in hell was she going to forgive him. He started to fear she might move out of the pack and go to her home and then leave the place she was staying.

Though he would be able to find her it would be a hell lot of work as he was sure she would block off the mate bond.

All kinds of thoughts were running through Jefferson's mind and he didn't know what to do.

Suddenly he turned to the woman beside him and released a murderous intent.

Immediately the woman shivered, stood up from the bed and quickly wore her clothes and ran out of the room.

Jefferson could smell a conspiracy somewhere as he was sure that some had conspired to make him sleep with the unknown woman so he would break up with his mate.

Suddenly he thought of his sister. She was the only one who could do that as she was the only one who hated his mate as he thought.

Though he wasn't sure and he didn't want to believe what his heart told him.

Sighted stood up from the bed and went into the bathroom. He didn't know how to feel as his thoughts were a mess.

He wanted to run after his mate and tell her it wasn't as she had thought and everything was purely different.

But what would he say to convince her? DeLorna was someone stubborn and wouldn't listen to what he had to say.

Abigail on the other hand was looking at Emily who had run into her room with a smile.

"Don't fear anymore he can't hurt you besides I'm sure you'll be pregnant for him soon, then he wouldn't be able to do anything to you even if he finds out it's all planned." She smiled.

Emily could only smile and nod. Though the experience she had just now was terrifying and she didn't wish to have it anymore.

Abigail on the other hand was smiling expecting the next actions of DeLorna.
