I'm coming back with her corpse
Rolling on the vast bed, Sandro covered his ears with the pillow as he heard a knock.
He sighed and attempted to drift off again but was disrupted as the pounding on the door continued.
He opened his eyes slowly and winced as sunlight streaming from the window drifted into it.
His half-opened eyes wandered to the large clock on the wall and he shot out of bed.
It was mid-afternoon and he was just coming awake. He had never slept this late until today.
His bushy straight brows creased as he attempted to recall if he partied last night, but nothing came up.
He believed he hadn't done anything to warrant him sleeping late and he was with Arabella throughout as well.
"Arabella," He mumbled.
Sandro leapt out of bed as the image of her lifeless body flashed in his mind.
"Shít!" He exclaimed.
Everything that happened flooded his mind and how he had gotten drunk before sleeping.
He had gone overboard with the punishment and she had been unconscious.
He didn't know if she was awake now but Francis had assured him she'd be okay after checking up on her last night.
Sandro tossed on a faded jean and a red plaid shirt before walking to the door.
His eyes landed on Blaze as he opened the door.
"What?" Sandro grunted.
"I…"
His eyes snapped to Francis who appeared at the back of Blaze.
"What's going on?" Sandro said.
Worry seeped through him and his chest tightened as Francis twisted his fingers together.
Francis stared at the ground and puffed out a breath whilst thinking of how to say what he wanted in front of Sandro.
He had been confident a while ago and had practiced everything he would say within the short time he and Blaze arrived at Sandro's door. But standing in front of him now made it impossible for him to form a word.
"I-Is she dead?" Sandro asked. His chest tightened as each second passed.
But Francis said nothing. Instead, he continued to gaze at the floor dazedly.
"Wouldn't you be happy if she died?" Blaze spoke up. He scowled and clenched his fists, "At least that is what you wanted all along."
Sandro rolled his eyes and gazed back at Francis, "Why the fúck are you tongue-tied? Will you tell me what's wrong or do I need to find out for myself?"
"O-of course!" Francis sputtered and nodded hastily. "The thing is…"
"Arabella is missing." Blaze cut in.
Sandro gazed from Blaze to Francis. He chuckled, and then tossed his head back as it switched into a belly laugh.
"I must say that is the most hilarious thing I've ever heard," Sandro mumbled, patting his chest whilst trying to suppress the laughter attempting to burst out of his mouth.
"It's no joke," Francis said in a small voice. "She is nowhere to be found."
Sandro moved past Francis and walked towards the clinic. He pushed the door open and stepped into the room he had dropped Arabella last night.
His eyes narrowed as he stared at the empty bed.
"Francis!"
"Y-yes, Signore?" Francis stuttered. He stayed by the door and let out a shaky breath.
"Is this some kind of joke? Where is she?"
"I don't know," Francis said.
Sandro swiftly moved towards him and shoved him into the wall.
"What do you mean by you don't know? I fúcking left her in your care!" He barked, pressing his elbow into his neck.
"I'm sorry!" Francis gasped out, "I-I came to an empty room. She must have escaped in the night!"
Sandro gazed around the vast room and his eyes strayed to the CCTV cameras at the corner of the ceiling, "Freaking check for any footage! She wouldn't leave here by herself. Someone must have aided her."
Sandro gazed at Blaze on time to see him shrug. He released Francis from the hold he had him in before walking toward him.
"I swear if you are found guilty, I'll fúcking extract your heart without a second thought. It won't take me a second to replace you with someone else!" Sandro stabbed a finger in Blaze's chest.
Blaze shut his eyes and heaved a breath. He opened them back and stared at Sandro, "You think I'd ever betray you? Why the hell am I your Beta then?!"
"As far as you are concerned, I don't know what to believe anymore. It seems you are looking for an opportunity to stab me in the back when I am not looking!"
"But, I have always been looking out for you. I even got her information to you before you were able to catch up with her but you treated her badly."
"How I treat a captive and sinner is none of your fúcking business!" Sandro shouted in his face.
"I did nothing," Blaze mumbled. He raised his hands in the air and gave a half-shrug, "I know nothing."
"It's just a warning. If you are seen in any footage with her, you'll be fúcking dead." Sandro shoved him to the wall and walked away from him.
"Signore…"
Sandro turned to Francis, "Did you see anything?"
"I see nothing. She was lying in the bed and that was all. Also, it was off. I didn't know how. Perhaps, I had turned it off after checking her last night."
Sandro let out a grimace and kneaded his temple. That bítch!
He'd definitely kill her if he found her again.
"What do we do? She's not in any position to be out by herself. I mean she's hurt and needs a lot of rest." Francis said.
He winced as his hands caressed his neck. It hurt but he knew Arabella would be feeling twice the pain he was feeling at the moment.
She had left. He didn't blame her. If he was the one tortured as well, he'd have done the same.
However, it baffles him how she'd left without any trace of her on camera. Also, despite the maximum security, no one was able to alert the others.
Francis was certain someone had helped her escape but he couldn't think of anyone who would have done that or even try to go against Sandro.
"I'll find her," Sandro said, breaking the silence. He stepped to the door and turned to look at both men.
"Go back and gather the pack members together," His eyes stayed on Blaze, "Let them prepare for a funeral because I am coming back with her corpse!"
