Oh no, I find it sexy
"Tell me the truth, Blaze. Did you know about Arabella's whereabouts?" Janice asked as she placed an ice pack on his broken ribs.
She flicked his head and giggled as he winced.
"What is that for?!" Blaze glared, rubbing his temple.
"I wanted to see if it needs a bandage. And I have gotten my answer."
"I'll manage." He said, removing her hand from his head. "I can heal myself, remember?"
"Oh, that is right. I keep forgetting that. I forgot you were a pure-blood werewolf."
Janice bit her lower lip as heat fused into her cheeks at the contact his hand made with her. She grimaced and averted her face.
"I don't know where Arabella is," Blaze spoke up.
Janice's head shot up and she creased her brows, "Then why was he hitting you if you don't know where she went? Sandro is too impatient."
"Don't say that in front of him. The last thing I want is to see you getting punished." Blaze warned.
"Sandro will never punish me!" Janice said and she sighed. "But what he did to Arabella is awful. She doesn't deserve all that he did and she only wanted to live a peaceful life. But, I know it's impossible as Sandro is concerned."
"I hope she runs far from him. He's just being cruel for no apparent reason. He enjoys it when she suffers." Blaze rasped and stretched. His muscles popped at the movement he made but his rib still hurt.
It would take a few hours to heal and that was because he was a pureblood werewolf. Whilst the ones that had one of their parents as human possessed the same ability but they often took a long time to heal.
Janice shook her head, "I hope she is safe as well considering the condition she is in. And I hope Sandro stops acting like a jerk if he doesn't see her."
Blaze shrugged but said nothing.
After Janice was done with the ointment application on the bruises on him, although it was not necessary, he only let her do it because she'd throw a fit if he didn't allow her.
Blaze lay on her bed and stared at the ceiling. He wasn't mad Sandro hit him.
Perhaps, he deserved it for what he did but then, it was for the best.
Shutting his eyes, he snapped them open and stared at the clock. Then he shot out of the bed.
"Shít." He mumbled, picking up his cloth and donning it.
He let out a wince as he slipped into the bloodied shirt. He had promised Arabella he'd be back after reporting himself in the De Luca Villa.
He didn't know it would take much time and he wondered if she was doing okay as she hadn't called him yet.
Moreover, as Alessandro was going around searching for her, he was a bit frightened he'd come across where she was.
Still, it was unlikely. The journey from where Thalia lives to the De Luca villa was only a three hours journey.
Nevertheless, despite the nearness, it was unlikely Arabella would be seen.
He was even more frightened of leaving Thalia alone with her than Sandro finding her hideout.
Hurrying to the door, his hand moved to grip the handle but the door went ajar.
"Are you going somewhere?" Janice asked as she stepped into the room with a large tray.
"Yes." Blaze mumbled and attempted to move out of the room.
"Why don't you eat before you do? What's the rush or is it important?"
"It's important." Blaze said.
"I don't think anything is as important as eating and you don't even have enough strength left in you. How'd you cope if you were attacked?"
"I can manage just fine," Blaze grunted. Then he glared at her.
"I'm just concerned." Janice shrugged. "I can take this back to the kitchen if you don't want it…"
Blaze's stomach grumbled as the aroma of the food in the tray wafted into his nose.
"I'll eat." He mumbled. His eyes narrowed at Janice as she set the tray in front of him.
He noticed her smile widen and as she sat on the plush seat near the coffee table, Blaze tilted his head assessing her.
"What?"
"You look happy."
There was something he liked about Janice, even as she often annoyed the hell out of him, he enjoyed her meal.
She was the best cook in the house. Although she was not on par with Thalia. But Thalia aside, in the De Luca household, she was the best.
She was the only one who knew how to put things together.
"I am happy all the time." Janice rolled her eyes. "But how do you notice I am happy? I mean you never said this before until now."
"I'm not blind."
"Of course, you are not," Janice replied, rolling her eyes. She placed both hands underneath her chin and watched as he stuffed his face.
A smile adorned her face and she sighed. He looked extremely sexy each time she saw him and she doubted if he knew how much he affected her.
"I'm done."
Janice jolted out of her daydream and her eyes travelled to see him wiping his mouth with a napkin. She stared back at the tray to see it was almost empty.
"Goodness, you have a huge appetite."
"Is that a bad thing?"
"Oh no, I find it sexy." Janice blurted out. She bit her lower lip and flushed as he eyed her.
"I mean, it's okay to have a huge appetite and I am glad you enjoyed the food." She rambled and slapped herself mentally.
"You are a good cook and I doubt there's no one who wouldn't enjoy your food." Blaze said, then his eyes strayed back to the wall clock.
"I need to get going."
"Of course." Janice nodded, standing to her feet.
"Let Sandro know I am on patrol."
She nodded again and watched as he stepped out of the room.
As soon as he was out of the door, she dashed to the window and peeped from the curtain.
Janice sighed as Blaze pulled out a black hoodie and donned it.
Her heart smacked wildly in her chest as he turned. Their eyes collided and a blush crept on her face.
"He saw me." She mumbled, opening the window.
"And so sexy!" She groaned as he winked at her.
Her core dampened and she flashed a smile back at him before he went out of her view.
"What do I do with myself?" Janice plopped on the bed and spread her arms out. Then she placed a palm on her thumping chest.
"I can't get over him. He's taken over my head and sanity. Janice, snap out of it!" She chided herself whilst snapping her fingers in front of her.
But neither did her brain or heart heeded to what she said.
