Stay away from me
Sandro grimaced as he slid out of the blue convertible car. He pocketed his hands in the blue denim he donned and slipped them out again to caress his chin that was spotting a three-day-old beard.
He inhaled deeply and let it out slowly as his nostril flared. A floral fragrance wafted into his nose and he swirled, narrowing his eyes.
They stayed on a curvaceous leggy brunette. She donned a burnt orange metallic miniskirt that slid up each time she moved.
His eyes travelled to the belly ring she had which was barely covered by the floral crochet crop top she donned.
A bright smile adorned her oval face, and she slid the aviator sunglasses she donned down her sharp, straight nose.
"Fancy seeing you here." She said, Her voice was husky just like how he remembered it the last time he was inside her.
"Alessandro." She added.
The way she said his name all the time above a whisper made his skin tingle. He still reacted to her, and he wondered if he'd ever stopped.
"Thalia," Sandro mumbled as she stepped toward him. She wrapped her arms around him and let out a soft sigh as her chest pressed into his.
"It's been a while," She said.
She refrained from the embrace but still stood close to him.
As she assessed him, she realized he still looked the same way he did five years ago. He was only taller and had toned muscles.
Thalia wondered if he aged at all seeing as she had changed quite a lot since they last saw.
She was curvier than he remembered, Sandro mused as he discreetly checked out her backside which was perfectly proportioned in the skirt.
He had not seen many women he was acquainted with who looked sexier after seeing them again.
Thalia, he believes, was not like the other women he had been with. She was overly different.
"You live in the neighbourhood?" Sandro asked.
"Oh, no," Thalia said. "I am here on a visit."
"One of the many men you often serviced?"
Thalia rolled her eyes. "I'm not a próstitute, Sandro. The fact we had some things together didn't mean I slept around with every man I saw."
Sandro scowled.
"Then tell me the reason you left me if not that you were seeing some older men? You literally opened your legs for anything that passes by you."
He realized he wasn't over what happened between them five years ago. He had thought he was, until now.
Thalia heaved a breath as she reined in her anger. She knew that meeting Sandro was a bad idea.
He often talks trash to her and no matter how she tried to defend herself about what led to their breakup, he never seemed to believe her.
"I'm not here for that, and I didn't even know you'd be here. If I did, I wouldn't even be here!"
Sandro tugged her backward as she proceeded to move past him.
"Let go of me!" Thalia yelled, attempting to shrug his hand off, but his grip was too strong.
Sandro's face leaned into her, and he sniffled, "Where have you been?"
"What do you mean by where have I been? What has it got to do with you?!"
"Bítch, where the fúck did you go?!" Sandro barked.
"H-home." Thalia stuttered. And her eyes rounded as she glimpsed his green eyes flashing goldenly.
"Where the hell is Arabella? You smell just like her!"
"W-who is Arabella?" Thalia stuttered.
For a few seconds, Sandro glared at her. She felt as though he would yank her heart out.
"You are hurting me." Thalia began and her eyes watered.
Sandro blinked, shaking his head as he heard her quavering voice. His eyes cleared, and he glimpsed the unshed tears in her eyes.
Thalia wasn't Arabella.
She definitely wasn't. But why did they smell the same up close?!
It was weird, but he couldn't come up with a good enough answer.
Sandro released Thalia's hand and shoved a hand through his hair. "I'm sorry."
Silence ensued for a while until she broke it.
"What was that about and who is Arabella?" Thalia asked.
"She's no one," Sandro mumbled.
And she didn't press further. Moreover, if she did, she believed she'd be putting herself as well as her brother in danger.
It was better pretending not to know who she was than getting killed for what she didn't know.
***************
Arabella rolled her eyes and tossed the remote control with her towards the leather couch in front of her before standing to her feet and stretching her limbs.
She stepped towards the door and peeped from the window
"Not home yet," She groaned.
Her phone vibrated almost immediately, and she stared at it, "Thalia."
Although their friendship wasn't it at the moment, at least Thalia tolerates her now.
She wasn't as mean as the first two days she was in the house.
Arabella believed she had accepted her to be in the house in the meantime with her.
She placed the phone to her ear. "You won't be coming home tonight?"
"I won't," Thalia responded. "But I'll need you to pick something for me."
Arabella creased her brows, "And that is?"
"Some groceries I bought. It's just a few seconds from the house."
Arabella stared out of the window. The moon was out, and she wondered if it was a good idea for her to leave the house.
Blaze had warned her severely not to, and she didn't think disobeying his order was what she wanted to do.
Moreover, she didn't want to decline as well.
Thalia was bad-tempered.
Although she was attempting to get close to her, she was still mean and Arabella believed a mistake from her would make her flip.
"Are you there?"
Arabella flinched and muttered, "I am. But, I could get in trouble. I promised Blaze not to…"
"And the so-called Blaze is my brother. He won't do shít to you."
Arabella nodded even though Thalia couldn't see her.
"Please, be here in three minutes. I'm freezing already."
As soon as the call ended, Arabella gripped the pink fleece jacket Blaze had got her.
She slipped it on and put on the hoodie as well.
Arabella grimaced as she stepped out of the cosy room. She was glad she had worn the jacket.
Recently, the weather during the nighttime had been colder than usual. Still, it was at that time Thalia often went out.
Also, Blaze. He seldom stayed in the house. When he does, he is only available during the day and not at night when she needs him.
Arabella's ears twitched as she heard a howl from a distance. She glanced at her back, front, left side and right as she walked through the dark alley which led to where Thalia was.
Her skin tingled as though she was being watched, and she bit her lower lip, tucking her hand in the pockets of the jacket.
Her step quickened, and her heart rammed in her chest as she heard a footstep.
Perhaps, it was her imagination due to how eerie it was outside.
Regardless, she believed she wasn't hearing things.
"Help me, sweet Jesus," Arabella mumbled and continued walking until she got to the spot Thalia directed her to.
She creased her brows as she stood in the middle of the lonely road. There was no sign of Thalia nor was there any grocery waiting for her.
Arabella plucked out her phone from the pocket of the jacket she donned.
It vibrated, and she glared at the screen as Thalia's name flashed on it. "Were you trying to prank me? It's fúcking cold!"
"Well, bítch. That serves you right, and I won't be sorry if you freeze to death." Thalia said.
"What do you mean?"
"I didn't know you were that gullible. Now I do, and I am happy you fell for it."
"Thalia!" Arabella shouted as she realized what was going on.
Thalia wasn't coming, and she was not picking anything for her. Rather, the witch had tricked her into coming out for only God knows what.
"What the fúck is your pro…"
"You are my problem bítch and stay away from my brother. Have a beautiful dream." Thalia said and made a kissy sound.
Before Arabella could reply to her, she ended the call.
"That whóre!" Arabella swore and swirled as a growl sounded at her back.
"Now what?!" Arabella said but froze as she stared into the eyes of a vicious beast.
It wasn't like the dog she had seen the first time. At least, that had been friendly, and maybe it was trying to scare her on purpose.
But this, it looked overly frightening and large. The more she stared at it, the more she knew she was doomed.
"Stay away from me." Arabella extended her hands out as she regained herself.
The phone with her clattered to the ground, and she moved backwards as the animal neared.
"Please don't!" She choked out and gasped as her body rammed into someone.
She turned to see who had gripped her hand, but a cloth covered her nose.
Immediately, her vision blurred, and she fell backwards into the hand of the stranger.
