Chapter forty-six( Needed an escape)

M ira's Pov:

"The thing is that I need to be with my sister now…." I struggled to sound serious but I won't deny that there was a hint of nervousness and uneasiness overwhelming me with just the thought of Derrick and I staying all alone in a room.

"So you preferred her company more than mine?" He feigned hurt, his words taking me by surprise. Swallowing nervously I stare at Angel who glances suspiciously at me as her eye asks me the answers to this whole thing.

"Hmmm……. Stretching my head nervously I muttered " The thing is that I have something important to do…….

Nodding in a hurtful way with his head he questioned "More important than I…..?"

"Look, now is not the right time for this whole thing. Hmmm, I have to be somewhere right now," I suddenly muttered in one go, his questions not helping at all. He is just doing this whole thing on purpose, using my eye I pleaded for him to let me go. Smiling mischievously he shook his head in a disapproving manner, Gosh I am screwed how am I to explain to Angel the meaning of what she just witnessed. I instantly glanced at Angel who was busy staring at us both suspiciously and confused with a furrowed eyebrow. Her forehead caresses in a confused way, she is just there glancing at us trying to make out the meaning of what was going on in front of her.

Using my eye I made an effort on telling Derrick that Angel is here but the second devil shrugged his shoulders and muttered "But she is your sister, so I have no problem with that…….

" Fuck…" I cursed underneath my breath, not being able to endure the unsettling gaze that I was getting from Angel anymore. I forced a smile while glaring at him "Then if you are not going to do anything I am leaving…..

I swung around and signaled for Angel for us to go, she undoubtedly nodded at me before opening the door for us to leave. Trying to take a step outside I was suddenly yanked back as my head hit his chest. With my back facing his front, he held me closed.

" What the!!......" I surprisingly whispered as the word got stuck in my throat.

"Excuse us," with a serious tone he motioned for Angel to leave. Angel bewilderedly gaped at our position as she slowly stared at Derrick's hand placed on my hips holding me steady and tight close to his body. With her mouth hanging open she gapes at me, I embarrassingly gaze anywhere but not at her. I feel fucking awkward and uncomfortable with her heated gaze, I feel apologetic to her this is not how I wanted her to find out. She might be thinking that I am having an affair with my husband's brother with the way she looks at me, I reasoned.

"I told you to excuse us," Derrick's voice jerks me back to reality as they send chills down my bone marrow. I felt an electric sparkle at the place his hand held me. From the tone of his voice, he sounds impatient. I struggled with all my might not to moan as his hand gradually rubbed my hip.

Angel disgustingly stares at me before diverting her attention back to Derrick ``But sir, my sister is mar…….

I quickly snapped my eyes at her, shutting her up, what was she trying to do? To tell Derrick that I am married to his brother, like seriously.

"No, but!!......." Derrick said, annoyed, causing Angel to flinch in fear as she quickly left the place but not without giving me a "You won me an explanation" kind of look. Closing the door behind her, I instantly freed myself from Derrick and placed a distance between us to be able to reason well because with him too close to me makes my brain not function well. Breaking free from his hold I instantly felt cold despite wearing a cloth, I miss his touch and rough palm around my waist.

"Finally……" he smirked naughtily.

"Why did you yell at my sister?" Placing my two hands on my waist I glared at him. Despite everything I don't think that I can stand people shouting or scolding Angel, she has been through a lot lately and I feel the urge to protect her like she needs my protection for survival in the pack.

Staring at me for some minutes he burst into an irritating laugh. "Like seriously, you think that this is funny, right?" I grimaced.

Nonchalantly shrugging his shoulder with his hands on his pant pocket, standing there like a Greek God he mumbled "I just wanted a moment with you," my heart fleed at his words, I noticed my heart skip a bit as his words vibrates in my ear that I found myself ogling at him. Noticing my mood, his lips curled up sinfully. "Ouch….." I groaned at myself. I hate this mate bond.

"That's not enough reason….." I fiercely snarled at him, taking him by surprise before he suddenly masked his expression with a nasty smile. "Gosh, am I angry at him or for myself for being this attracted to him?"

"Why am I pouring my frustration on him?" I queried myself.

"Easy, easy…… angry wolf, I understand your points and I am sorry for that but I want to know you more, I just wanted a moment with you," he walked slowly towards me pleading as he displayed the reasons for his actions.

"You are sorry…." I asked in utter disbelief, I wasn't expecting him to apologize. I couldn't recall the last time I heard the word sorry apart from the omegas but with him being Nicholas's brother, I was expecting them to have a lot in common like not apologizing instead he surprised me as he proved to be wrong. I thought he was going to hit me or yelled at me when I snarled at him but hell no he did the positive.

"Yes, I am sorry….." He whispered barely audible as his hand trailed down my cheeks sending sparkles all over my body as I shut my eyes to enjoy this amazing moment.

"I just wanted a moment with you," he huskily mumbled as he tucked my hair behind my ear.

"Hmmm……." I moaned.
